The day after I collapsed, Chairman Seong barely took a step that wouldn’t fall off and went up to his parents’ house.

“Our Chan-young, if you’re sick, you should contact Secretary Lee right away. Got it?”

“Got it, Grandpa.”

I’m not kidding, but this was the first time I’ve ever given the same answer.

‘I’m fine……. But you’ve become more extreme since then.’

I was afraid that I would be imprisoned by Chairman Seong for medical treatment. Of course, with the emperor’s confinement. So I pushed my back more quickly and sent him to the car that came to pick up Chairman Seong.

“Take care! If the alpha cubs are not as good as dog bones, cut them off!”

What do you want me to cut? Are you asking me to cut off their slavery, or are you telling General to bite it because you are looking straight at General?

“Woof woof woof.”

“General only trusts you.”

Looking at General and Chairman Seong, who were exchanging serious and serious conversations, I stopped thinking.

‘A big storm has passed.’

Chairman Seong couldn’t kick out the gongs as he wanted, but he said it couldn’t be helped because an unexpected situation came.

‘The opportunity will surely come. Don’t you think the day will come when they give up and go back?’

My swollen dream of living a solo rural life saw hope in the wrong place.

It was because Baek Do-jun became strange after that day.

“Baek Do-jun! Baek Do-jun! The frying pan is burning!”

“Huh? Yeah. When did the frying pan burn…….”

“Pull yourself together.”

“I’m sorry.”

Like cheese with holes, Baek Do-jun became sloppy. Like a part of the body, the wok that was spun freely or the frying pan that was in charge of breakfast were burned down.

“How am I supposed to eat this?”

“Sorry, let’s just skip this one.”

But the rough stuffing didn’t end in one go.

The frying pan, which has a burning smell, has since suffered the humiliation of being burned a few more times by Baek Do-jun, who was dumb.

Eventually, Ajumma decided that the coating was peeled off and could not be used and had to replace the frying pan.

‘But it didn’t end there…….’

Baek Do-jun, who seemed to be a skilled chef until recently, suddenly acted like a clumsy rookie part-timer. Some of his plates, not the brassware, were broken. He broke not only the plates but also the tea cups and pretty teacups.

As for me, who was not interested in teacups, I thought Secretary Choi had bought it with his taste again, but the employers seemed to have a different position.

“Oh, my. For this precious thing to be broken…….”

The aunties adored a famous brand of teacup that I didn’t even know existed. The ajummas’ expressions of sweeping up the broken pieces of their own bowls were regrettable.

It is said that the first priority is not to hurt people, but as this happened repeatedly, the number of ajummas glaring at Baek Do-jun gradually increased.

Naturally, the evaluation of Baek Do-jun was downgraded from “a true bachelor who seems to be able to be her son-in-law” to “a mudskipper who breaks the flesh of a living.”

Later, even the aunts hardened their faces and questioned Baek Do-jun.

“Bachelor.”

“Yes, ma’am.”

“Were you perharps dumped?”

***실연당했어요 can mean disappointed in love/dumped/had a failed relationship/etc. 실연= Failure in love

“What?”

Cough.”

Baek Do-jun, who was asked, was just standing there blankly, while the other gongs choked. Seo Eun-soo also coughed quietly. I was the only one who wondered what was wrong with those people.

‘Did you all get dumped?’

It’s not like they were getting stabbed. Why are you saying that?

I was the only one who chewed the dessert that Secretary Choi had airlifted.

The ajummas’ straightforwardness, which the gongs endured and endured, did not end there.

“I thought you were dumped by someone you liked because you were acting like a man out of your mind. Why is young man so distraught?”

“……Did I look really weird?”

“Indeed. I was a little worried. You don’t eat much either. You messed up the dishes you were good at, that I threw them all away these days.”

‘Aha. There was that thing that the ladies were not happy about when they saw Baek Do-jun.’

It seemed that he was not the only one who was worried about getting emaciated even though it wasn’t even the pepper that the nobleman had put out to dry in the sun.

Even when he was preparing a meal and doing what he was told to do, he was blankly there, so it seemed that the rest of the gongs would hold back nagging even if he kept making them unable to eat.

“I think I know what’s wrong with him.”

Joo Tae-kang peeled the green onion and murmured while looking at Baek Do-jun. Chae Yoon-chan was sad at the poor meal and munching on cookies, and was delighted at the words and stabbed Joo Tae-kang in the side.

“If I know how to solve it, I’ll go and fix it right away!”

“What kind of cooking machine is Baek Do-jun?”

I know that they are hard to see as friends, but I was not happy to treat them as machines that feed people. Apart from not liking Baek Do-jun.

“Then what if Baek Do-jun declares a strike?”

So far, the biggest ambush of my Kongjwi Patjwi [1] plan has been Baek Do-jun. However, as Baek Do-jun became mushy like kimchi that had all rested, the gongs were gradually shaking.

“I’m so hungry that I can’t even do what I’m ordered to.”

“Chae Yoon-chan, if you say that while eating cookies, it’s not convincing.”

“This is a snack. You can’t fill your stomach with snacks. I have to eat warm rice, soup, and side dishes to cheer up.”

The way he secretly looked at Yoo Yi-seo while saying this was funny. Among the breakfast meals prepared by the gongs, Baek Do-jun was first and Yoo Yi-seo was second, so the meaning of the gaze was very clearly to ask for a meal instead.

“I don’t want to.”

Yoo Yi-seo refused even before Chae Yoon-chan brought up the business with his blue eyes shining.

“What do you think I’m going to say and refuse?”

“You’re going to bring up the story of asking me to cook, Chae Yoon-chan. I’m not your babysitter, so I don’t want to. The same goes for Joo Tae-kang, of course.”

It was a firm refusal to come out with a bright smile. When Joo Tae-kang’s name was mentioned, the man, who was peeling a green onion, threw a green onion at Yoo Yi-seo.

Of course, Yoo Yi-seo caught it intact and threw it back to Joo Tae-kang.

“I don’t want to eat the rice you make for me. I can’t eat it because I’m afraid I might have poisoned it.”

“You know it well. Then it would be better not to cling to me, but to bring back the squeaky Baek Do-jun mentality.”

Chae Yoon-chan didn’t know how to give up, although he didn’t seem to have a gap.

“If you want to eat a proper meal like that, isn’t it better to improve your cooking skills?”

However, Chae Yoon-chan did not seem to be able to do so. Indeed, the cooking skills were so hopeless.

“Are you going to come out that cheap?”

“Weren’t we supposed to live separately? Why don’t you say that we should be loyal?”

Yoo Yi-seo ignored the dog’s barking attitude and came out to see the condition of the fruit tree. The number of fruit trees I ordered before I collapsed was quite large, making it a labor that even four energetic alpha men could not handle.

Joo Tae-kang and Chae Yoon-chan were resting for a while while planting fruit trees until earlier. Yoo Yi-seo and Baek Do-jun were also resting, but Yoo Yi-seo seemed to have decided that it would be better to go out and work than to meet Chae Yoon-chan’s troublesome demands.

“Is it all about extreme dominant alpha? It’s really bad luck.”

“I don’t know anything else, but I agree with that, Chae Yoon-chan.”

“One day, he’ll throw away all his pride.”

“Curses, curses.”

Chae Yoon-chan, who was grumbling, eventually gently peeled the green onion again with Joo Tae-kang. They cut the peeled green onions on a cutting board, store them in a transparent container, and put them in the refrigerator.

‘Is it because I know that if you cheat, you will be relentless and tell me to leave under the pretext of it….?’

At first, Chae Yoon-chan, who was complaining about how to do this, did what he told me to do without complaining anymore. For example, when laying onions, it was ridiculous and funny to endure tears somehow even with goggles on.

‘Why did Secretary Choi buy goggles…?’

I tried to go out to water my beloved sprouts, tilting my head at the mysterious purchase history of competent secretary Choi.

“No way!”

“Where are you going?”

“You’re staying still, right?”

“……Can we take a break?”

Joo Tae-kang, Chae Yoon-chan, Yoo Yi-seo, and even Baek Do-jun, who were sullen, stopped me from getting up like a swarm of bees as soon as I stood up.

“I’m free to go out.”

“Not now. At least not until we’re sure it’s okay to move.”

Are you a doctor, Joo Tae-kang?

‘I said it’s okay, but what are you trying to do?’

Is this a new form of confinement? It was funny people trying to keep me out of my house.

“No. I have to water the flower bed, the garden, and the bean field.”

“Order Seo Eun-soo.”

“……?”

Is that what you’re talking about, the original gong?

I looked dumbstruck as if I had been hit with a hammer, but Seo Eun-soo gently grabbed my shoulder and said, drawing attention with a pure beauty.

“Rest, Chan-young ssi. Seeing you fall down again, I think I might go crazy.”

“What?”

“So take a rest.”

“No, I don’t want to rest? Excuse me? Excuse me?!”

A blue watering can was confiscated. Instead, soft cushions, books to read, and snacks were put in my hands.

“Go and rest. Mr. Landlord. If you eat well and rest well, Baek Do-jun will quickly wake up.”

“What does that have to do with me…….”

“Oh, come on.”

Joo Tae-kang gently pushed me to my room. Damn, it was sad that even strong Seong Chan-young could not beat the power of Alpha Joo Tae-kang.

“This is over excess.”

“Yes, let’s say it’s over excess. Overwhelming excess to save you.”

I called general urgently because I never wanted to do as much as stay in the room.

“General! Bite him!”

I thought general would bravely bite Joo Tae-kang and restore my freedom to work.

“Woof!”

General bit my trousers. I hesitated because I couldn’t run out quickly because General was biting. Without missing that time, Joo Tae-kang sat me on the bed and quickly covered me with a blanket.

“Come on, take a rest.”

It was a shock. How could you do this to me?

  1. Just on the off chance that SCY needs to rest, I will not get annoyed at the alphas BUT if they’re just annoyingly forcing their “help” on him, then they can go kick rocks 😒😤

Why can’t he and the grandpa just kick these godforsaken gongs out of his house?!?!

    1. Too late for me I’m already annoyed. I really hate when characters force someone to rest against their wishes. Even if it comes with good intentions you can’t force people to behave the way you want, everyone has the right to decide what they want to do even if what they want to do isn’t what is best for them.

    2. Ugh… don’t they know that Chan-young is healthy? I think it’s natural to be worried, from the Alphas’ point of view, Chan-young looked pale and almost dead, and immediately came out even before the examination at the hospital, then the next day, immediately wanted to move.
If I were Alpha, I think I would whine, ‘Oh, come on. You don’t want to undergo an examination, so at least rest for a few days, okay? What if you faint again, when yesterday you were fine before you almost died?!’ Well… I think I understand.
