Novel Will Be Taken Down on 17 May or Earlier Chapter 67 - Akshan's Legacy (1)

Author: LyraDhani

That aloof Grandfel.

There was no way he would consider the hard work and sincerity they were coming with.

‘Whatever it may be.’

Inazuma.

Although right now they became lower than Gaon.

For a long time, they were a prestigious guild that kept the top spot in the guild rankings.

Hisagi Kazuma?

6th place in the player rankings.

His level was higher than the level of Nam Taemin next to me.

In the early days of the Cataclysm.

The scene of him knocking down a monster that appeared in Tokyo with a spear still remained clearly in my memory.

Shock–

Yeah, they seemed very surprised by what I said.

But I couldn’t help it either.

If I cared about such a thing.

‘I wouldn’t have treated the senior mages carelessly in the first place.’

Who are senior mages?

Of course, they were stronger than the players and were difficult even to compare with Grandfel.

I’ve had the experience of three visits to the cottage from those senior mages…!

“I’ve made a mistake.”

Perhaps noticing my stubbornness.

Hisagi bowed his head again and said.

“Tomorrow, then. May I come at this hour?”

Tomorrow.

Making time for them wouldn’t be difficult.

Do I really need to meet them?

‘I can roughly understand their purpose.’

Not only they had cut ties with the Japanese government, but Inazuma had also declared their departure from Japan. Hisagi was thinking of the Yusra Kingdom as a new place to settle.

‘If that’s his purpose.’

He should meet Hakuna, the king of Yusra, instead of me.

I had ‘authority’ over the kingdom of Yusra.

Inazuma’s immigration.

If I took care of it with my authority, it wouldn’t matter.

But as I said, there was a procedure to everything.

“It’s better for you to talk to King Hakuna.”

Yeah, because the Yusra kingdom was ruled by Hakuna.

I used that ‘authority’ only when Hakuna asked for help.

Just like the case with the Shadow Mercenary Corps.

“…Thank you for your consideration.”

“Thank you!”

“…Wow, look how polite you are.”

Silent bow–

Inazuma guild members bowed politely.

Just like Nam Taemin said.

It wasn’t an easy sight to see.

Of course, I was pleased with the burdensome greeting.

Really, this must be how it felt like to be the boss of any organization.

“Does that mean he’s turned over a new leaf? How did his snake eyes become like that?”

Now that I gave a pass Inazuma.

Nam Taemin seemed to be happy for some reason.

It was understandable.

Gaon and Inazuma.

Korea and Japan.

Similar guild ranking.

Even the level of their guild master was similar.

They could have been called rivals.

“If it weren’t for Hoyeol-ssi! I’m just saying. I’m good at provoking Inazuma! Oh, but if Hoyeol-ssi wasn’t there, they wouldn’t have lowered their heads…?”

There must have been a lot of things between them piling up.

As I listened to Nam Taemin’s story.

I got to the rupture.

“Is this for real?”

“I don’t know what it is, but the experience point is certain.”

“But it’s still a rupture, so wouldn’t it be worth challenging for us?”

There was a large crowd.

Players and Arcanains.

Looking at the atmosphere… It seemed some players had already broken into the ruptures? It was good that they tried to step up and defend the Yusra Kingdom.

[Qirnberg’s Machine Tower]

[Recommended level: Lv.400]

[Collapse progress: 0.1%]

…Rather, hasn’t my liver become inflated, guys?

The recommended level couldn’t be more concise.

No more, no less, just level 400.

I was surprised enough by that.

Nam Taemin added an explanation.

“Qirnberg Machine Tower. What the hell is it? I thought hard about it. Now I can see the inside!”

Qirnberg Machine Tower.

It was a tower built all over the Arcana continent.

NPCs didn’t know exactly what they were.

There wasn’t any quest about it.

There wasn’t any way to open its tightly closed entrance.

So among the players.

Some people seemed to have expectations like Nam Taemin.

“Hyungnims, who do you think I am? I will definitely broadcast the inside of the machine tower even if I have to dedicate myself to it. Now, before you go in, at least the price of yukgaejang [1] …”

To the point where there were so many Nettubers.

Machine Towers that rose throughout the continent.

There must be a reason why ruptures of the same name were created all over the world.

Of course, the reason didn’t matter.

Confident footsteps.

Gazes focused on the sound of the shoes.

However, what mattered to me at this moment.

It wasn’t the players’ interest either.

Qirnberg machine Tower?

No, it didn’t matter what it was.

As I said.

“Unauthorized illegal constructions are unacceptable.”

If you don’t follow the procedure, I have no choice but to set an example.

[You have entered Qinberg Machine Tower.]

.

.

.

“…It is a dreary landscape.”

Nam Taemin opened his mouth.

‘By the way, I didn’t expect him to accompany me to the rupture.’

I had no reason to refuse.

It was true that ruptures of the recommended level 400 level were burdensome for me because [Natural Enemy Relationship] was not activated.

But he didn’t have a party either.

So I wasn’t being indebted to him again.

‘Nam Taemin just voluntarily followed me.’

I opened my mouth brazenly.

“Indeed, it’s an odd landscape.”

As I said, it was an [『odd』] scenery.

Between complicated mechanical devices and cogs.

There was a glimpse of the Yusra Islands.

First of all, the monster was nowhere to be seen.

“…This is what the inside looks like.”

“But something’s missing? It’s empty.”

“Don’t relax. You never know when it will come out.”

Sniff–

Nam Taemin pursed his nose.

Barbarian, he must be using his advanced sense of smell.

Nam Taemin tilted his head.

“…What, doesn’t it smell like blood?”

Above all, there was no entrance or exit in sight.

Including the stairs leading to the next floor.

‘…It’s certainly strange.’

As much as I felt it.

Other players must have felt it was unusual, too.

At that moment.

Chug–!

The stopped cog began to spin with a loud noise.

Bump–!

Feets stepping on the ground were shaken by the impact.

Players staggered out of balance.

“Noisy.”

Of course, I didn’t shake a bit.

The dignity of this body.

The formalities ingrained in this body allowed me to maintain a straight posture even in this situation.

Aside from that, I had walked up and down the dizzying stairs of the Mage Tower.

“What a joke from the start.”

Thanks to that, I kept my head straight.

I could look at the situation.

‘…Wait a minute.’

As I watched, I slowly get a sense of what it was.

Nam Taemin, who was looking around, was startled.

“It seems something has turned into very sharp cogwheels?”

It was exactly as he said.

Horrible mechanical devices stuck out from the walls.

The players shouted.

“No way, is it a trap?”

“Crazy. I’ve never seen such a huge trap!”

“…Wait, isn’t that a portal over there?”

At the other end.

There was a surge of vivid blue light.

‘From the level of exploration, interference, and manifestation…’

It was a magic tool. In other words, it was a portal made by an item.

There seemed to be a difference in the interference process from the portal of the Mage Tower.

But I could see that the effect was the same.

By the way.

Even if the method was different, the portal was similar to the Mage Tower’s, right?

What is this Machine Tower?

But I was probably the only one who noticed that.

The players showed signs of excitement.

“Looking at it, it seems we just need to break through the trap and reach that portal?”

As if to stir up that excitement.

A quest window came up in front of me.

[Quest: Break Through the Trap]

Reach the portal and avoid elaborate traps.

Rewards will follow according to the ranking.

– Current ranking

  • 1st place: None

  • 2nd place: None

  • 3rd place: None

“Ho-Hoyeol-ssi! Did you get a quest, too?”

“Break through the trap, it appeared.”

“I see. The Qirnberg Machine Tower must have a competitive concept!”

Quests and rewards were always welcome.

I could understand the reactions of players including Nam Taemin.

But I sensed something.

Qirnberg Machine Tower.

The unusual atmosphere I felt in this space.

Above all, those familiar traps.

To be precise.

The object was so familiar that I could skip the 『exploration』 process.

‘Everything is made of silver.’

Sharp cogs.

Loaded arrowheads.

All of them were ‘silver’.

I remembered the characteristics of silver.

Right now, thanks to 『Reversal Magic』, I was free from its durability.

Before that, I used to be more careful in using silver weapons.

Because silver weapons had poor durability.

‘There is no reason to use it unless there is a special reason.’

Yes, silver was a special mineral.

Except for special cases.

It was a mineral that had absolutely no use.

Why did I use such a silver weapon?

It was because I was a demon hunter.

Because silver was one of the demons’ deadly weaknesses.

Since I knew that fact.

I couldn’t help but question it.

‘There is only one reason to make traps out of silver.’

Yes, that was a trap to defeat the ‘demon’.

The moment I realized that.

Once again the quest window flashed.

“…!”

This time, it was the class quest.

[Class quest: Akshan’s Legacy]

The beacon of survival was surely delivered.

The last demon hunter.

Take back your legacy which has been destroyed by evil.

– Train your weakened body. (Repeat)

– Investigate the decisive battle weapon, Qinberg Machine Tower. (In progress)

I knew it!

I knew there would be something.

Wait a minute.

‘…Something’s wrong.’

I felt a strange sense of distortion.

Yes, the fact that the Qirnberg Tower was a decisive weapon and legacy of Akshan… The Akshan base in my memory had nothing to do with it…!

‘If the base had something like this, the players wouldn’t have run away!’

The Akshan base had nothing to offer except a desperate spirit.

If they had such a cool thing, shouldn’t they show it off?

In other words, the players deleted the account for no reason and abandoned the demon hunter class for no reason.

‘If that was the case, wouldn’t I have been less lonely?’

That’s why, my doubt didn’t go away.

Above all, it was because Grandfel’s talent recognized it.

Qirnberg Machine Tower.

Technology that could be recognized from the beginning.

It was a technology that developed in a different way from the Mage Tower.

In other words, It was so great that I could dare compare it to the Mage Tower.

‘So the way to solve this doubt is…’

There was only one way.

Investigate the Qirnberg Machine Tower.

As I proceeded with the quest, my questions would naturally be solved.

So at this moment, my job was simple.

“I’ll go ahead.”

Pass through the trap ahead.

Reach the portal on the other side.

What if I got the top ranking in the process?

Well, that would be nice.

“Whatever it is, I’ll get a reward.”

By the way, my suit and shoes.

They were obviously not the right outfit to go through the trap.

But it didn’t matter.

Like I said.

All the mechanical devices I saw in front of me were made of silver.

They were so familiar.

That I could skip the exploration process.

Therefore.

Tap tap–

This trap.

It couldn’t touch a single hair on my head.

*

Qirnberg Machine Tower.

Traps and a quest suddenly appeared.

Not only in the Yusra Kingdom.

[Qirnberg Machine Tower] ruptures had appeared all over the world.

The same quest came up to all the players who entered it.

“Rewards are given according to the ranking?”

“Only up to 3rd place? Wow, it’s tough.”

“It’s going to be a competition?”

It ranked numerous players in first, second, and third place.

That fact alone was enough to draw attention.

Rising ratings.

The number of viewers of Nettubers rising in real-time was proof of that.

However.

“But this isn’t fair, is it?”

Apart from that, some people lost interest even before the trap breakthrough began.

Even if they didn’t watch it, the result seemed obvious.

“It’ll just be ranked in the order of high agility stats. Well.”

The way to break through traps would vary depending on the class.

Naturally, players with high agility stats had an advantage in achieving high rankings.

Move forward while blocking traps with a shield or magic.

Just dodge and move forward.

Between those two methods, there was clearly a difference.

In that sense, in the chatroom.

The names of some players were already mentioned.

-The time has come for our noonim Camilla to play an active partㅋㅋㅋㅋ

– If Nam Taemin uses enrage again, who knows what the result might be?ㅋㅋ

– But what is Rox doing? I really don’t know

– ㄹㅇㅋㅋIt’s a quest in which he has the most advantage, but he doesn’t show up

– I went all in with my Camillaㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Let’s deport them

But it didn’t take long.

For the chatroom to be unified.

Soon, records appeared in the players’ quest window.

– Current ranking

  • 1st place: 1 minute 01 seconds

  • 2nd place: 4 minutes 41 seconds

  • 3rd place: 4 minutes and 50 seconds

Just a minute or so.

The record was overwhelming, about 3 minutes and 40 seconds ahead of the second place.

The main character of the record was being plastered in the chat room.

– It’s just Homen

– It’s just Homen

– It’s just Homen…!

  • 1. Yukgaejang (육개장, 肉개醬), or spicy beef soup, is a spicy, soup-like Korean dish made from shredded beef with scallions and other ingredients. Sumber: Wiki.
Author's Thoughts

I wonder if I should go with ‘It’s just Homen’ or ‘That’s just like Homen’. I know the latter seems more proper but it’s too lengthy and doesn’t sound like a good slogan. So in the end, I choose the former.

    1. That’s a good one, but it also doesn’t sound like a good slogan either🤔. Thank you for the suggestion, though

  1. It is more like as expected of homen or sasuga homen i think
