[Second Gate Incident Report]

I. Incident Overview

• Location: XXX Province, XXXX, α-129 District, ‘Leech Swamp’
• Incident Progression:
  • On November 24, 20XX, at around 09:00, a party of four individuals entered the dungeon known as ‘Leech Swamp’, which had appeared in the α-129 District on November 22, 20XX.
  • About 10 hours and 30 minutes later, the Second Gate occurred. We immediately gathered a Second Gate raid team consisting of top-ranked Awakened individuals. However, the gate entry was impossible.
  • Around 02:00 on November 25, 20XX, the return of one hunter was confirmed. Subsequently, the gate vanished and the remaining three hunters are presumed dead inside the dungeon.

• This incident is the first case where the dungeon entry was impossible after the Second Gate occurred.

• Attempts to uncover how Evie James, an E-rank hunter, managed to survive inside the Second Gate and stay there were unsuccessful as the survivor refused to provide further answers.
• Based on the survivor’s reaction when asked about Evie James, the two seem to have a close relationship within the dungeon.

Ⅲ. Future Action Plans

ㄴPreemptive Exploration of the Second Gate

• Recent reports have confirmed that some Awakened individuals possess the skills to predict the dungeons where the Second Gate will occur in advance.
• It is presumed that the Second Gate occurs when certain conditions are met by the hunters entering the dungeon, and these conditions appear to differ for each dungeon. So far, no matching conditions have been found.
• Plans are underway to deploy teams to the field after skill verification and training.
• Request budget support to secure Awakened individuals with relevant skills.

ㄴForced Entry into the Second Gate

• The research team is assigned to investigate and study the related phenomena.

※ According to the recent testimonies of the Second Gate raid team composed of top-ranked Awakened individuals, it is reported that the 6th case and all 5 previous cases had the same magic wavelength. There is a possibility that all 6 cases involved the same dungeon appearing as the Second Gate.

※ Upon verifying the identities of the three dead (presumed) individuals, it was found that they were the unregistered Awakened using fake IDs to pass through the dungeon entrance checkpoint.

Disciplinary action is planned for the officials responsible for the dungeon entrance checkpoint.
