[I wok as Rondel’s maid, an I beliv dis femily wil do treson.]

The effort to keep it a secret was evident. In the meantime, that person wrote the parts related to their identity so they wouldn’t be mistaken.

“Her name is Michi, and she’s a low-ranking maid who does chores…”

It’s a woman again. They felt sorry for Selleana for a moment. But the girls’ faces quickly became serious with worries about their fellow.

“By the way, Rondel? They’re small in size and have no particular influence in politics. The count is also a person without ambition.” Selleana picked up her knowledge about Count Rondel. For the lark of Elard, getting this level of information was as easy as eating cold stew.

“I don’t know… because the duke doesn’t tell me that.”

“I don’t know because I don’t really have any contact outside my b*tstard husband.”

It was a family that wasn’t even mentioned in Rosalli and Agnesia’s original stories. But a family like that commits treason…?

“Rondel, Rondel… Why is it so familiar… Ah!” Doloret clapped her hands. “Their son is one of the four superstars of the academy!”

“M-Male lead…!”

“At best, the sub-male-lead…!”

The appearance of four superstars appeared around the transmigrator person. The girls’ faces became even more serious.

“Anyway, that kid will be the main character in her original story…”

The girls swallowed dry saliva and looked at each other. Perhaps because they were all female leads in one work, they were incredibly pretty.

A pretty maid and a handsome master. It’s definitely a romance fantasy novel. And one with many twins and turns.

“The treason must be a lie to somehow get our attention. She must be really desperate.”

Selleana secretly clenched her fists. It reminded her of her future husband, who’s serious about the class system. A maid in this harsh pre-modern era… She had to be saved.

Selleana looked at her friends’ faces one by one.

A lady of the ducal family who’s bound to be welcomed by any family.

The lady who’s the secret power of the empire’s top guild is second to none in intelligence.

A trainee of the Orot, the state religion of the empire.

We can do it.

* * *

“May Orot bless you on a peaceful afternoon. I’m not too late, am I?”

A few days later, it was the day of their departure. Their destination was the townhouse of Count Rondel.

“L-Lady Elard?”

Her dark hair was like the night sky, her slim face that looked as white as snow in contrast, and her assertive features.

“Oh my gosh, it’s really Lady!”

“You look even more beautiful up close…”

All the ladies attending the tea party were excited by the appearance of Lady Elard, whose eyes shone like gold under the sunlight.

“L-Lady clearly replied that you can’t come…!”

“Oh my, did I do that?”

Even Lady Rondel, the host of the tea party, was surprised. By any chance, am I going to be Lady Elard’s follower…?

“I-I guess I see it wrong. Our garden looks much brighter now that Lady has come…!”

Anyway, Lady Rondel greeted Selleana with a very moved expression.

“Lady Rondel, thank you so much for such hospitality.”

Then, when Selleana stepped back in response, three more people appeared. Who are these unexpected guests…?

“Here, Lady Rosalli of Glen said she wanted to come to Rondel’s townhouse, so I came with her. It’s okay, right?”

“The garden is beautiful as I heard it. Nice to meet you, Lady Rondel.”

Rosalli smiled sweetly. All the ladies at the party were wide-eyed at the appearance of another lady of the ducal family, who was usually absent from social gatherings.

The two ladies of ducal families are attending together. Since there were no princesses of their age, the two ladies were the highest class among the ladies in society.

“This is Lady Doloret of Baron Benichi, and this is Agnesia, a trainee from the Great Temple.”

“Nice to meet you. My name is Doloret Benichi.”

“Bless your soul’s journey between life and death. I’m Agnesia, the humble servant of Orot.”

“Ah, yes… May you be blessed too.”

The greeting that followed was noticeably half-hearted. She didn’t even care that the baron’s daughter, who hadn’t been active in society due to their raise of rank, and a trainee from the Great Temple came as a bonus.

There won’t be any complaints, right? Even if there is, what can she do? After all, Selleana is Elard. Selleana waited for Lady Rondel’s guidance with a relaxed expression.

“Now, the two ladies, please take seats here while Lady Benichi and the trainee can sit in those empty seats over there.”

The two ladies of the ducal were seated close to her while the other two were assigned to the end seats. Lady Rondel arranged the seating in such a way that her strategic intentions were quite obvious even in that brief moment.

“I feel like I received a surprise gift, and I’m really happy to see Lady Elard like this.”

“As expected, the main character appears unannounced at the end.”

“I never thought I would meet Lady Glen in a place like this.”

Selleana’s eyes scanned the ladies who were saying nice things. They were all gullible and overreactive, perfect as today’s audience. She then bluntly stated her business. “The reason I suddenly came today is because Agnesia gave me something special.”

The ladies looked at Agnesia in the last seat with amazement. Agnesia held her hands together as if praying, giving off a sorrowful mood.

“Yes, Lady Elard lacks the energy of water. Rondel Townhouse’s fountain is famous for its grandeur, right?”

“The energy of… water.”

The words were a bit strange, but they didn’t react badly because she was the follower of Lady Elard. Lady Rondel raised her evaluation of the trainee slightly.

“Just in time, Lady Rondel has… a very clear impression.”

“What?”

“But, Lady Rondel’s water energy is also cloudy… Have you had any trouble lately?”

Lady Rondel’s face hardened.

The ladies these days are going through an unfortunate period of puberty. There was no way they didn’t have trouble.

“I had a meaningful dream not long ago. The content is…” The young trainee’s quiet voice and pale appearance added mystery to what she said. “There is a wreath in the mansion in the southeast.”

The ladies held their breath. It was because the townhouse of the Count Rondel family is located southeast of the Great Temple.

“If this continues, the new family member that will come into this house will be short-lived.”

The ladies’ eyes widened. As for the new family member, wouldn’t it be Lady Rondel’s future husband?

For the ladies who would soon debut in society, nothing was more important than the identity of their future husband. The ‘Do you know that?’ strategy, which everyone had been subjected to at least once in their previous lives, is now successfully captivating the ladies who were immersed in their fantasy about first love.

“To wash away the misfortune…”

“To wash away…?”

“With all your heart.”

“With all my heart…?”

“You need to purify the head of the family’s immorality.”

The head of the family’s immorality? The ladies’ eyes rolled wide. What is Count Rondel’s immorality, and how can it be purified?

“That’s why I’ve learned one of Count Rondel’s immorality for you.”

Selleana chinned at Doloret. Doloret offered a small document envelope as if she were Selleana’s follower. Her acting skills were like that of a child-care female lead.

Selleana took out the content of it and fluttered it between her fingers. An IOU with a face value of 30 million reot.

“Count Rondel won a lot of money at the casino last time. But…”

The ladies swallowed their dry mouths and focused on Selleana’s lips.

“His opponent is said to be a young man who has been in debt for a long time. If Count Rondel had lost, the young man would have been able to pay off all his debts. Ignoring his social responsibilities as a noble, Count Rondel caused a young man to lose his dreams. How immoral is that?”

In other words, it was an IOU that had nothing to do with Count Rondel. But Lady Elard’s speaking voice was so eloquent that everyone nodded their heads.

“This IOU, I bought it for Lady.”

“F-for me…?”

Does that mean Lady Elard really allows her to be her follower? Lady Ronel’s face shone brightly.

“Yes, but Lady will have to purify the immoral by yourself.”

“How could I…?”

“Wouldn’t it be okay for Lady to return the favor to me?”

Agnesia nodded her head and said it was right as Selleana looked at her. Naturally, all of this had nothing to do with Orot’s doctrine.

Selleana flipped around the IOU to Lady Rondel to regain her senses. “I especially bought this for Lady Rondel.”

“That, how much… is it?”

Umm, how can I get paid by money from Lady?”

Don’t you say you want to return the favor back? It was when Lady Rondel’s eyes shone with doubts.

“Agnesia said that in order to replenish my water energy, I should get your laundry maid in this mansion, who is full of water energy.”

Finding out where their transmigrator fellow, who sent the letter, was as easy as lying down and eating bread for Doloret’s guild.

“And a very pretty girl.”

* * *

At that time, Selleana had forgotten all about finding a husband and was absorbed in rescuing her fellow transmigrator.

“Look at this.”

It was a dark room with the sun shining even in the middle of the day. In the humid air, the owner of the room suddenly opened the door and said, “Isn’t it interesting?”

He was a boy who seemed to shine alone. As soon as he sat on the table by the window, his normal dark brown hair quickly became silver, as if melted by the sunlight by the window.

Silver hair that is as thin as silk thread and looks neat even though it is roughly trimmed, clear blue eyes, long legs that stretch far, broad shoulders contrasted with his slender figure, and sharp jawline, giving the impression that he hadn’t fully matured.

On the other hand, the dark room was simple. The only decorative items were the sword hanging on the wall. The silk wallpaper, furniture, and everything else that filled the room were luxurious but somewhat worn out.

The boy placed what he was holding in his hand on the tea table. It was a paper sack containing vegetables. As if he was concentrating on something, the boy’s thick silver eyebrows drew closer together and became wrinkled.

“I picked it up from the back of the kitchen. Ah, things like the dignity of the prince have nothing to do with me. No one would have noticed it anyway.”

His expression of not wanting to hear nagging appeared especially youthful.

“Anyway, what do you think?” Though there was no one else in the room, his voice was soft and gentle, as if speaking to someone beside him.

Tap, tap, tap. The boy’s long fingers quickly tapped over the sack.  “Advertising foreign language courses and magic stones on the vegetable sacks. Don’t you think there’s some kind of intention? “

His blue eyes, which had been listening intently to some distant sound, sparkled with interest.

…Aha, so these are also letters? Not a logo? That’s interesting.”

A short smile passed through his asymmetrically stretched mouth.

“Kim…chi…? It’s a traditional dish.”

The boy’s musings continued for a while. Eventually, with a content expression, he leaned slowly against the back of the chair.

They are the ones who exchange codes through sacks of groceries. What does spicy pickled cabbage taste like? There were so many intriguing things out there.

The boy’s blue eyes dimmed dreamily. I’d like to meet them.

  1. WOOAAHHHHH. I LIKE THIS CONCEPT. I’M EXCITED TO READ MOREE >///<
THANKYOU FOR TRANSLATING THIS, TRANSLATOR-NIM! 💓💓💓

  2. I’m enjoying it.
However the female lead wants a better man but she seems overly concerned with aesthetic over character?
I’m sure she will find both but I just wish she had expressed a longing for someone with some character rather than leading with their physical appearance. At the beginning it seemed she was about as concerned with her preferred partners character as the Prince was with her charcter. That is, zero interest.
But I love the concept so I hope to see her develop a little….
