Waiting For Your Reincarnation Chapter 161 - Completed

Knock-knock!

Yeon-young knocked on the door of the chairman’s office and waited for a moment for an answer. She heard Zhaolin’s voice from inside the chairman’s office asking her to come in.

As soon as she opened the door, the first thing she noticed was the frown on her face. Her eyes were full of life, and Yeon-young took a step back as if she was about to spark a firestorm.

“…What’s wrong, do you want me to come in later?”

“No, come on in. It’s just that the restoration of the other branches is proving to be more of a headache than I thought.”

“Well, it’s going better than I expected though, maybe it’s because we’re getting a lot of new souls as we cleanse the Snarl, and here’s a status report on the restoration work.”

She handed the file she was holding to Zhaolin and shrugged once.

As Zhaolin rubbed her index finger across her wrinkled brow and quickly scanned the contents of the file, Yeon-young glanced around the newly constructed center.

The plaque on the desk that read ‘Chairman’ stood out the most. With a small smile, she stared out the window at the view of Tanato.

The day she’d saved Ryu Won, she’d emerged from the underground tunnels to find the once beautiful world in ruins.

Yeon-young’s power had stopped the souls from snuffing out, but she couldn’t restore the broken world to its original state.

Nevertheless, the faces of the spirits were bright. They seemed relieved that the long battle was finally over.

Led by a special team, Tanato’s rebuilding began quickly. At the same time, new changes were made to the organization.

The biggest change, for example, was the relaxation of the laws regarding snarls.

The spirits accepted that anyone could become a Snarl, and that Snarls could be purified.

Yeon-young had a lot to do with that.

Just then, a voice called out to Yeon-young, who was deep in thought.

“Didn’t you say you’re on vacation from tomorrow?”

“Yes, I’m going to give you this and leave now.”

“You have the same day as Mr. Han Ryu Won. Where are you going?”

“Um…, the forest.”

“…Geary got the land there.”

“Any problems with the report?”

“No.”

“Well, I have a boyfriend waiting for me, so I’ll go first.”

Zhaolin waved her hand in the air, looking bored. It was a sign to get the hell out of there.

Yeon-young laughed, stepped outside, and opened the teleport. The coordinates of the teleport were none other than the field with the pillar of Iris.

As soon as she stepped into the teleport, she was greeted by the slys resting in the field.

Among them was the white Sly that had helped save Ryu Won’s life.

After exchanging greetings with them, Yeon-young left the field and headed deeper into the forest.

“You’re back?”

“Wow, good?”

Ryu Won greeted her with a relaxed look. A satisfied smile tugged at the corners of her mouth as she looked at the hut in front of them.

She had been rewarded for her efforts in saving Tanato, for awakening the ability to purify the Snarl. But instead of a prize or honor, she asked for something else.

She wants only one thing. To be able to own a piece of land in the forest, so that she could keep their old memories alive.

Luckily, Zhaolin didn’t object too much and gave Yeon-young the title.

Ryu Won nudged Yeon-young’s back as they entered the cabin.

“Check out the inside. It’s bigger than I thought.”

“It’s perfect for a vacation home. We can see the lake and check out the slys.”

“You’re looking at other things besides spending time with me?”

Yeon-young slowly walked into the cabin. Despite its appearance, the inside was cozy and tidy.

It wasn’t a two-story house, but it was her dream home.

This was where she would spend her long vacation with Ryu Won.

“Ms. Yeon-young?”

“Yes?”

Turning around at Ryu Won’s call, Yeon-young froze, her eyes widening slightly. In front of her, Ryu Won was down on one knee, holding a case with two rings in it.

He pushed the case closer to Yeon-young and spoke.

“Will you marry me?”

“…Since when have you been preparing for this?”

“Since you said yes.”

The rose-gold ring shone beautifully in the off-white light. Looking at the rings, which were identical in design except for the size, Yeon-young was overcome with a strange feeling.

The bracelet and the ring, their hearts that had always been at odds, had finally melted into each other.

She took the ring with hot tears in her eyes. Then, squatting down in front of him, she slipped the new ring onto Ryu Won’s left ring finger first and said,

“We’re finally getting married properly.”

“This is the last time, because from now on, we will be together forever.”

Hearing those words, Yeon-young nodded her head once. It was no longer a wish or a prayer, but a reality.

She lifted her magpie paw and kissed him gently. Ryu Won smiled languidly, picked her up and carried her to bed, then used his powers to extinguish all the lights in the hut.

The slys gathered near the hut emitted a clear light as if to cheer them on.

The light they enveloped did not go out for a very long time.
