I Became A Squirrel Seeking For The Villain Chapter 108
Yohan’s cold eyes passed over me and turned to Theodore behind me.
The first one to smile was Theodore.
“No need to make such a serious face,” he said in a teasing tone.
“People have the freedom to go wherever they want, don’t they?”
Then, just to provoke, Theodore stepped closer behind me.
“Even if you’re lovers, you can’t always keep someone tied to your side, right? Unless you lock them up, there’s no helping it if others approach. And honestly, I just feel like sticking close whenever I see the Lady.”
His voice was so irritating, I almost wanted to hit him.
Theodore shrugged and continued teasingly.
“Even if it annoys you, what can you do but endure it, Duke?”
Yohan looked at Theodore for a moment and then chuckled in disbelief.
Theodore’s face clearly showed the intention to provoke Yohan.
I was just about to yell at Theodore when Yohan calmly called my name.
“Yurika.”
Instead of getting angry at Theodore, he turned his gaze to me and spoke softly.
“Come here.”
Although it was clearly an eerie voice, it felt affectionate.
I was about to turn around to give Theodore a disgusted look, when a soft voice added:
“It would be better if you just looked at me.”
Sweet words on the surface, yet I couldn’t bring myself to turn around.
In the end, it was not me who had to look back and give a warning look, but the tiger.
While the tiger bared its teeth and growled at Theodore, I quickly walked over to Yohan’s side.
Even in that short time, the air felt tense— so much that I couldn’t even look Theodore in the eye.
As I approached, Yohan gently took my hand.
Then he looked at the purple flower bracelet in my hand and smiled slightly.
“What is this, Yurika?”
“Oh….”
I rolled my eyes awkwardly and mumbled,
“I made it for you.”
It wasn’t exactly the right moment for such words, but I felt I had to tell the truth anyway.
“I honestly don’t think I can give you a winner’s crown, so… I wanted to at least give you a flower bracelet.…”
Yohan’s eyes widened slightly.
Then he sighed faintly and smiled slightly.
“Yurika, you really….”
He actually looked incredibly happy.
Extending his arm toward me, he said,
“Put it on me yourself. It’s much better than a winner’s crown. You made it with your own hands.”
So, I carefully put the bracelet on Yohan’s arm, under the tiger’s fierce gaze and Theodore’s cold gaze.
The flower bracelet, which was not very flashy and was roughly made of wildflowers, honestly did not suit Yohan well.
Nevertheless, Yohan looked at the bracelet for a long time as if it were precious to the world.
As though that one small gift had settled every storm in his heart.
Then he spoke to Theodore in a sarcastic tone.
“No need to make such a serious face. Yurika has her own feet — she’ll come to me in the end.”
It was a way of speaking that returned what he said.
“That’s what makes a romantic relationship so great. Even without locking someone up, they still choose to stay by your side.”
I carefully raised my eyes and looked at Theodore.
His face had turned an angry shade of red and blue.
“Of course, I get annoyed by the flies that keep coming at her. I’m human, too.”
He pulled me closer to his side as he said, in a chillingly calm voice,
“I know I have to endure it even though I feel bad.…”
—Crash!
The tree next to Theodore fell down with a loud thud.
A branch brushed past Theodore’s forehead, scratching him.
Even the tiger flinched in surprise, but Yohan added with a bitter laugh.
“Someday, when I feel really bad, I might not be able to endure it anymore.”
It was at that moment—
I reflexively looked towards headquarters.
Since there was no sign of anything, it was more of an instinct than a rational reaction.
‘That… that’s—!’
And before even Yohan could react, I realized what was happening.
‘Now? It’s happening now?!’
A massive wild boar burst from the forest, tusks gleaming, charging straight toward the imperial tent.

After finishing her conversation with Yohan, Rivena returned to the imperial tent and gave Theodore a quick glance — the signal to begin.
Theodore, who had been sitting in his seat, trying hard to please the emperor, nodded slightly at her glance.
Then he got up quietly as if he was going to the bathroom.
He’d already been keeping an eye on Yurika disappearing into the forest earlier, so finding the way there was easy.
He was going to do his best to stay by Yurika’s side.
even better if Yohan saw it.
If Yohan lost his temper and caused trouble at this official event, it would tie him down perfectly.
Even if he didn’t run wild, it was enough to momentarily block his gaze.
After all, whenever Yurika was involved, Yohan completely lost his composure.
‘Well, I guess that’s the same for me.’
So Theodore approached Yurika, and together they headed toward the forest entrance.
It was all planned. Getting caught by Yohan was also part of it.
He hated the sight of Yohan and Yurika flirting in front of him, but he felt a little better when he thought that it wouldn’t last long.
‘Playing lovers… not like you, Yohan. Do you really plan to fall for a divine beast?’
Yohan’s taunting words had definitely gotten under his skin, but everything was unfolding exactly as Rivena had intended.
While drawing the attention of Yurika and Yohan to himself, Theodore secretly used magic at the same time.
He deliberately inflicted a wound on a large wild boar lurking in the forest.
And Rivena had already treated the royal tent area with a special potion — one that made enraged beasts go berserk, causing them to attack without hesitation.
“Of course, I get annoyed by the flies that keep coming at her. I’m human, too.”
So, even though he felt really angry when Yohan said that, he was able to hold it in desperately.
While Yohan kept talking, Theodore concentrated and scratched the boar’s hind leg with magic.
Naturally, the furious beast went wild and charged straight for the royal tent.
‘Good!’
And, of course, the first person to notice what was happening — was Theodore himself, who had planned it all
“My people have already made the preparations. You just need to remember — when a royal is in danger, saving them earns any reward you wish. On the day of the hunting festival, Your Highness, all you need to do… is save His Majesty.”
“The Emperor, of all people? Couldn’t it be someone else?”
“Yes. The clause isn’t perfect because it was sneaked in. That’s why only someone like His Majesty the Emperor himself wouldn’t be able to just overlook it for the sake of appearances.”
That was why, earlier, Theodore had subtly brought up the clause in front of the Emperor—just to make sure he wouldn’t forget it.
According to the plan, the moment the boar charged right in front of the Emperor, Theodore would use magic to kill it instantly.
Then he had truly saved the Emperor from danger, and was in a position to receive a reward from the Emperor.
“The justification is good. The ban was imposed because you hid your magician status, but you saved His Majesty the Emperor through magic, so you used magic in a truly valuable way.”
Rivena had everything neatly planned out.
“Besides, even though Yohan will be present, the one who saves the Emperor in the end will be Your Highness. His Majesty will have no choice but to reward you greatly. After all, he wanted Yohan Hyrad to be forgotten.”
According to the plan, Theodore did his best to provoke Yohan’s anger.
It was a little creepy when the old tree fell in front of him, but at the same time, he was secretly proud because he could tell that the wizard was very angry with him.
If his eyes were that wild, he wouldn’t be able to focus on anything else.
‘Now’s the time.’
The raging boar was incredibly fast.
The knights guarding the field rushed forward with spears in hand, but even after being struck, the beast kept charging toward the royal tent. It all happened in an instant.
As Theodore was about to unleash his most powerful spell at the wild boar charging towards the royal tent—
“Grrrrrr!”
There was a creature that jumped out faster than magic, with a roar that seemed to shake the mountains.
It was a tiger with a ribbon bearing the Medes seal on its tail.
“Oh my god!”
“Oh my, oh my!”
Theodore had no time to use magic.
The tiger, as big as a house, was faster than anyone else.
Like Yurika, who instinctively turned around before Theodore could even slash at the boar.
It was a reaction closer to animal instinct than rational judgment.
Amid gasps and cries of shock, the tiger sank its fangs into the boar’s neck and tore it apart, killing it instantly.
And everyone saw it.
