Kill Your X Chapter 92

Seo Seunghan casually ignored me and got ready to go out. As if my words weren’t even worth a response.

“Are you going to the night market already? It probably isn’t open yet.”

“I’m going to check out other restaurants nearby. I was looking earlier and saw a menu I think you’d like, Sunbae.”

“I’m telling you, let’s just have less sex?”

“Don’t say things you don’t mean. You’d be more desperate than me if we did.”

His tone was full of conviction. Before leaving the hotel room, he said.

“I’ll be back. If you’re really bored, you can work out. You still have a long way to go to get your stamina back, Sunbae.”

I mulled over his words while sprawled out on the bed in a star shape. I was in the worst mood just a moment ago, but a smile was already creeping onto my face. It was all thanks to how cute Seo Seunghan is.

Is not having sex not even an option, even if he were to die? The days when he unilaterally treated me like a dog in heat felt as distant as a past life.

“A workout… I guess I should do one.”

I shot up and loosened my body with some light stretching. I quickly glanced at my fading abs and started doing push-ups. From now on, it’s a kind of survival workout. Because my big puppy doesn’t know how to get tired.

Changing our travel plans was a stroke of genius.

We left the popular tourist spots of Spain and went to the outskirts. We roughly picked a town on the map and deliberately didn’t search for any more information.

With nothing much to see nearby, there were naturally few tourists. In the city, we would run into someone who recognized us every twenty steps, but the residents here just looked at us with curiosity. The most they would do was occasionally ask what country we were from. That alone felt incredibly liberating.

It was an utterly peaceful daily life. We would stroll slowly through the unfamiliar town, and when we got hungry, we’d just walk into whatever restaurant caught our eye. There were quite a few times when the taste and quality of the food weren’t satisfying, but even those experiences were enjoyable.

Another piece of fun I got from this trip was discovering Seo Seunghan’s hidden preferences.

He prefers his beef undercooked to the point where a little blood shows, rather than well-done, and he doesn’t like textures that crumble in your mouth like meringue. He isn’t picky about specific ingredients, but his eating speed would noticeably slow down if a dish had a prominent sour taste.

In a small restaurant in a quiet town, Seo Seunghan drank the lemonade the owner gave us on the house as if it were poison. It was a sight that made me laugh.

“If you don’t like it, don’t drink it. Who’s going to say anything if you don’t want to?”

“But you like it, Sunbae.”

He glanced at my empty cup and continued.

“I want to do everything that you like together, Sunbae.”

“That’s admirable, but I still don’t think you need to force yourself to do things you don’t want to. I’d actually prefer it if you were more insistent about your own tastes.”

“My tastes?”

“Yeah. From now on, I hope you choose and act on your own will in everything. Honestly, it’s fun to watch you do that. It’s like raising a kid?”

His face, which had been softening, hardened again at my last words. His reaction was so amusing that I kept teasing him, but then his foot moved under the table. Thinking he was just crossing his legs, I was caught off guard and took a hit.

“Ugh!”

I let out a loud noise for a moment and clamped a hand over my mouth. Unlike my startled self, he was composed.

The core of me, crushed under his foot, twitched. Does he have eyes on his dick or something? It was absurd how his foot had precisely wedged itself between my legs without even looking.

Seo Seunghan pressed down, putting pressure on my genitals with his foot. I hastily looked around. There were other customers in the restaurant, but thankfully, they were seated far away from us.

Even so, the owner could walk by at any moment and witness this scene. We left Korea to avoid a commotion; I had to prevent creating a new scandal in a foreign country.

“Seo Seunghan.”

I tried to push his foot away with my hand, but it wouldn’t budge. My squirming only made the stimulation worse in a strange way.

“Ugh, do you really want to get in trouble?”

“You just told me to act according to my tastes. I was just listening to you well, Sunbae.”

“You have to consider the situation when you do that!”

He looked delighted as he watched me lose my mind.

“I think I know now why you like doing this, Sunbae. Did I look this lewd to you back then?”

He was referring to an incident that happened not long after we reunited. To think I’d get paid back like this for the punishment of playfully moving my foot perversely under the table as a provocation.

“Ah, seriously… you really hold a grudge.”

Just when I thought it was getting truly dangerous, he withdrew his foot. Then, as if nothing had happened, he took a big gulp of his lemonade.

“Hmm. Now that I keep drinking it, I think it’s actually okay.”

Seo Seunghan finished his dessert, with my face, which must have been flushed red, as his side dish.

We had finished our meal long ago, but we stayed in the restaurant a bit longer to let the intense heat in my lower body subside before leaving. The kind-hearted owner gave us each another glass of lemonade, causing Seo Seunghan to quickly lose his playful mood. Honestly, it was satisfying.

“Now, Seunghan-ah. What do you say the next time you experience something like this?”

“No, thank you.”

“And what if the restaurant owner doesn’t understand you well?”

“Fuck you.”

“Hey. When did I ever say ‘fuck you’? Are you that curious to see what a jail cell in another country looks like?”

Seo Seunghan, surprisingly, understood English quite well. However, his speaking skills were a little lacking. Even when speaking Korean, he often cut out the context, and that tendency became even more severe when he used a foreign language. Apart from whether the other person could understand him, it was a perfect recipe for unnecessary misunderstandings, so I was the one who did most of the talking during the trip.

As we walked while making idle conversation like usual, we stopped upon seeing a person sitting on the side of the road. His appearance was interesting at a glance, so I nudged Seo Seunghan in the ribs. His head turned a beat late since he had been staring only at me.

A man was sitting on a mat on the street. He wore clothes of mixed colors and a cape with lots of tassels on the end. The wrinkles on his hands were deep for the age shown on his face. His appearance, which was hard to pinpoint to a specific nationality, contributed to his mysterious aura.

“I think he’s a fortune teller.”

I guessed based on the dozens of cards and the crystal ball placed in front of him. Unlike me, who was fascinated, Seo Seunghan was indifferent.

“So they have them overseas too. When I worked at the library, the teacher at the desk next to me used to go for tarot readings periodically. She said it helped when her mind was troubled.”

Just then, my eyes met the man’s. I was mesmerized by his uniquely gleaming eyes when he beckoned to us first. I hesitated for a moment, but then approached him, trusting that it would be okay since Seo Seunghan was next to me.

“Give me money. Then I’ll tell you your future.”

The man spoke in English with a peculiar accent. Belying my budding curiosity, my interest quickly faded as soon as he brought up money. If he wanted to scam foreign tourists, I didn’t understand why he would set up his mat in a quiet neighborhood like this instead of a place with a lot of foot traffic.

Seeing my expression, the man added magnanimously.

[I can see almost everything about the future. Relationships between lovers, in particular, are my specialty.]

“He’s definitely a scammer. Seunghan-ah, let’s just go.”

When his sales pitch didn’t work on me, the man turned to look at the person standing next to me. Up close, his eyes were overly transparent, which was a little scary.

[Aren’t you curious how long your relationship with your lover will last?]

“There’s no need to listen to this guy anym— Hey!”

Before I had a chance to stop him, Seo Seunghan opened his wallet and handed the man some money. He didn’t even look properly, just grabbing a wad of bills that his hand landed on. I stood beside him with my mouth agape, watching Seo Seunghan get scammed.

The fortune teller must have been pleased with the amount, as he didn’t haggle over the price and swiftly tucked the money into his bag. I was about to say something when a forgotten fact flashed through my mind.

Right, Seunghan can see ghosts. If so, did he notice something special about this man?

[Tell me exactly what you are curious about. Oh, wandering traveler.]

Seo Seunghan thought for a moment, then asked me.

“Sunbae. The average human lifespan is about 80 years, right?”

“I guess so?”

“Then please ask that person this for me.”

The question he wanted me to ask was somewhat absurd. They say that even people with spiritual abilities can’t see their own futures; I wonder if it’s the same for Seunghan?

I didn’t trust the fortune teller, but since we had already paid, I figured it would be less frustrating if we at least heard some sweet talk before leaving.

I first asked the fortune teller.

[Is it okay if we ask two questions?]

[Of course.]

[First, I want to know if we will be alive 50 years from now.]

At that, the fortune teller slowly took us in with his eyes. Just as I felt like I was being sucked into his crystal-ball-like gaze, he opened his mouth.

[You two… will be alive.]

[In good health?]

Seo Seunghan cut in abruptly.

[You’ll be in decent shape for that age.]

After a small nod, he looked at me. It was a sign to ask the next question.

Even as I asked the second question, I couldn’t help but wonder if we were playing into a scammer’s hands far too naturally.

[That’s a relief. Then I’ll ask the second question. Will we still be together then?]
