The Only Woman in a Zombie Apocalypse Vol. 1 Chapter 29 - Humans are scarier than zombies (1)

Author: Nikss

Dayoung sluggishly got out of bed. Her entire body ached, muscles sore and trembling as if she had been through a rigorous workout.

Having fun with Dohun and then Minho—her body was utterly exhausted. Trying to comfort herself, Dayoung drowsily headed to the bathroom.

After a quick wash, she was on her way back to her room when she ran into Ian returning to his.

“Noona.”

“Hey, Ian.”

“You okay? Of all people, you had to get caught by Minho hyung.”

“I’m fine. Um… everyone knows about it, right?”

“Probably? Someone saw Minho hyung carrying you out. Wanna go up to the rooftop for some sunlight? You’ve been cooped up inside too long. I’ve got something to say, too.”

“Something to say? Is here not a good place? Well, let’s go up. It’s been a while since I’ve gotten some sun.”

Dayoung followed Ian up to the rooftop.

It was her first time back since the day they had sex. Unintentionally, memories of that day resurfaced, turning her ears red.

To shake off the lewd thoughts, Dayoung wandered over to the small garden she had asked to be set up.

Fresh green sprouts had already begun to grow.

Staring at the soil and the green leaves, she then lifted her head to gaze at the blue sky. Even in a world overrun by zombies, the June sun was hot—though not as scorching as it used to be in reality.

Maybe it was because the harmful emissions caused by humans had significantly decreased.

Ian and Dayoung lay side by side on the sunbeds under the shade. Stepping outside after ten days unexpectedly revitalized both her body and mind.

“Noona, everyone was going crazy about how much fun yesterday’s party was, pfft…”

“Ugh, seriously…”

Dayoung gritted her teeth as she replied. She worried that because of Dohun, everyone might have had an awkward experience—like dealing with a drunk boss causing a scene at a company dinner.

“I had a bit to drink yesterday. It must’ve been so cringe, right?”

“Huh? No way. Everyone loved it.”

“Liar,” said Dayoung.

“I’m serious. They were saying they wished they could have a party like that once a week. That it’d make work even better.”

“Really?”

Dayoung’s eyes widened as she stared at Ian.

No matter how she thought about it, it had seemed like nothing but an embarrassing mess. She wondered if everyone was just being polite or if they’d genuinely enjoyed it.

“Noona, think about it. They’re all guys. Wolves. Someone as pretty and sexy as you, dressed like that, giving them attention—who wouldn’t love it? They even begged me to convince you to do it at least once a month if not every week. ‘Please, get Noona to do it again,’ they said.”

“…”

At Ian’s words, Dayoung’s cheeks flushed red.

Truthfully, she’d had a great time yesterday. She was drunk, but those actions were all her own.

Of course, her sensitive body had made it even more thrilling. She’d often fantasized about the characters from Zombieverse, and now it had actually happened—how intoxicating was that?

She’d even wished, ‘If only I could spend a day surrounded by them! Wait… had her wish come true…?’

Right now, though she’d feel a little embarrassed, she thought she could even do a striptease in front of all of them.

Just the thought of putting on a show would be enough to make her wet. But that was just because she was so excited, so turned on.

Was this arousal her own reaction, or was it the fictional Dayoung’s?

She still couldn’t tell. She knew she had some perverted tendencies, but she hadn’t realized she was this perverted.

Maybe it was a mix of her real-life kinks and the fictional Dayoung’s hypersensitive body.

“If you don’t hate it, Noona, I think it’d be nice to give the group that kind of time. This world is such a draining place, after all. Of course, if you don’t want to, there’s absolutely no pressure. Nothing bad will happen to you if you say no.”

“Hmm… Actually, I didn’t dislike it. Of course, it was embarrassing, but I didn’t hate it. No—it wasn’t just that I didn’t hate it, I really liked it yesterday. What’s wrong with me? I didn’t even know I was that kind of person until I came here. If it’s that kind of occasion, I’m all for it.”

“Then, I’ll let everyone know that Noona is preparing another party. How long should we make it?”

“Hmm… There aren’t that many costumes, though. If we do it once a week, it’ll probably last about three months?”

“Don’t worry about that. There’s a building to the west with tons of that stuff. Must’ve been a shopping mall or something.”

“Pfft—Really? Then let’s do it once a week. I don’t have anything else to do, so I might as well contribute some energy!”

Dayoung clenched her fists and struck a determined pose. Since she only helped with meal prep, she was the one with the least to do here.

Sometimes, she even wondered if she was pulling her weight—though the others would probably insist she didn’t need to. They’d say she didn’t have to do anything to deserve meals.

“I’m glad you don’t dislike it, Noona. I was even thinking that maybe you’d want to get closer to someone in particular. I wondered if you might just be forcing yourself to go along with it to get along with people here, even if you didn’t want to.”

“No, that’s absolutely not it. Everyone’s so nice. I haven’t been here long, but I’ve grown attached in my own way. You know, if I hadn’t met you all, worse things could’ve happened to me—against my will. But now, it’s 100% my choice. I like the attention from everyone here. Maybe it’s because I’m the only woman, but I find it endearing how they all try to impress me. Anyway, so yeah.”

The characters in Zombieverse are fascinating.

Being with Minho or Ian made me feel incredibly at ease. I could even share my honest thoughts without hesitation. With Dohun, it was fun, and though Jiseok was blunt, I still felt comfortable even without much conversation.

Maybe it was because each of them had their own strengths that Dayoung’s heart and body opened up so easily.

Of course, it might also be because they were her favorite characters beforehand, so her attraction was already overflowing—perhaps she was just seeing them through rose-tinted glasses.

But now, it was hard to see them merely as characters. If you think about it, even the current Kim Dayoung is just a character.

Yet, to her, they felt like real, living, breathing people. That’s why sex with them felt even more euphoric and emotionally resonant.

Because it wasn’t just imagination.

“It’s not just because Noona is a woman. Do you think this is our first time saving a woman? It’s because Noona treats people sincerely, so they respond to her sincerely too. Though I’ll admit, they are wolves.”

“Right. They’re wolves. But I don’t think I’m some naive little rabbit either. You know what they say—birds of a feather flock together.”

“Pfft. So, does that mean Noona’s a wolf too?”

“Yeah! I’m a wolf too, why not?”

“Pff—haha. Noona, anyone can see you’re a cat. Come here.”

Ian burst out laughing as Dayoung raised her hands near her face and let out a playful “Meow!”

Staring blankly at Ian’s radiant smile, Dayoung was momentarily dazed.

Noticing her expression, Ian got up and sat on the high chair next to the sunbed, spreading his legs wide. Dayoung hesitated before cautiously stepping between them, looking down at him.

Handsome faces shouldn’t be seen up close!

“I guess Noona really is a wolf. Wearing such sexy, easy-to-remove clothes every day. Wait, don’t they usually call women like that foxes?”

As soon as she woke up, Dayoung mindlessly went to the bathroom. She hadn’t even chosen what she was wearing herself.

“Ah, this… Minho put this on me before he left…”

At Ian’s words, Dayoung looked down at her clothes.

It was a white, sheer, strappy slip dress—one she had brought in a larger size to sleep in, which Minho had dressed her in. When she first woke up, she had thought he’d simply helped her into proper sleepwear.

Ian, staring off into the distance, grabbed Dayoung’s chin as she rambled incoherently and made her look at him.

Their eyes met, and Dayoung gently placed both hands on Ian’s shoulders, tilting her head down to press her lips against his.

‘This is why you shouldn’t look at a handsome face up close!!’

As Dayoung planted a few pecking kisses, Ian cupped the back of her head, pressing deeper as he parted her lips and slipped his tongue inside. While exploring her mouth, Ian slid one of the dress straps off her shoulder.

Since her arms were folded against his shoulders, the strap slipped down to the crook of her elbow, exposing one breast right in front of Ian’s face.

“See? I told you it was too easy to take off.”

“Th-That’s… Ah!”

Ian pulled his lips away, clicking his tongue at the sight of her nipple before leaning in and biting down.
