The Unbelievers
nicotineSynopsis
Eunseong does not shy away from grueling part-time jobs in order to become independent from his drunken, abusive father. One day, while he is neglecting his studies to earn money and even the friend he used to be close with only bullies him, a man appears. Yoo Siun, a man whose mysterious aura is enhanced by a wolf tattoo, claims to be his guardian and takes Eunseong to his home. While he says Eunseong will be under threat because he is the heir to the family, he does not tell him what an heir actually has to do; on the contrary, he tries to keep his distance whenever Eunseong approaches.
“Why are you protecting me? From whom?”
“…From me.”

Seo Eunseong (Soo)
Exhausted by his father’s violence, Eunseong ends up under the protection of the suddenly appearing Yoo Siun. Having been taken away by a stranger in a manner almost like a kidnapping, Eunseong is wary and wants to trust no one, but Siun is infinitely kind to him. Eunseong thinks Siun is a perfect-looking and considerate adult, aside from his strange mysophobia. While quickly adjusting to a cozy and peaceful life, Eunseong still believes that money is the only thing that will protect him.
Yoo Siun (Gong)
He takes charge of and handles the family’s misdeeds. He acts as if he is nothing, behaving as though he is at the bottom of the hierarchy, but he has made up his mind to excise those who are rotting. He brought Eunseong to protect him, but he is cautious because he does not know how to treat the young boy. For a certain reason, he tries to keep his distance from Eunseong, but he is flustered as the oblivious Eunseong approaches him while showing affection.
