“Those kinds of people sitting on the Culture and Arts Committee is why everything keeps getting worse.”

“Ugh, broke out in a nervous sweat. We got delayed too.”

“Seriously… acting like they’re doing us a huge favor when they’re not even lending us their own house.”

The moment the assembly member left, complaints broke out everywhere.

The director also looked a bit drained as he rubbed his face.

“Everyone, let’s move quickly.”

The next scene was where Jeong Haeseon and Tak Yeowon truly split apart.

After the zombie horde attack left few survivors, the content showed the group dividing into two factions—one following Jeong Haeseon, the other following Tak Yeowon.

It was a chase scene with the zombie horde pursuing them inside the building, so everyone tensed up once more.

The filming location was the narrow skybridge and stairs positioned in the middle of the building.

“Let’s all stay safe, everyone.”

The zombie actors lined up below the stairs in groups, preparing their action choreography.

I led the survivors toward the front of the skybridge.

Standing before the camera covered in sweat and fake blood makeup.

Silence settled over the entire building.

“Ready, action!”

The moment the action call dropped, I started sprinting like crazy with the survivor group.

The sound of the zombie horde climbing the stairs reverberated through vibrations.

I pushed forward while feeling genuine fear.

But then, a man appeared from the opposite side and came running across the skybridge.

He approached and blocked the center.

“What the hell? Won’t you move?!”

“What, isn’t that the guy from this morning?”

Behind me, the survivors spoke in flustered voices.

“You selfish bastards!!!”

The man was someone who’d been caught spreading rumors and turning people against each other in the survivor group before getting kicked out.

The man had also left angrily, saying ‘have a nice life’ when he departed.

But now, in this urgent situation, he’d suddenly appeared out of nowhere pulling this stunt.

“Only you guys get to live?”

“Fuck, move!! The zombies are coming from behind!!”

“Everyone die! If it’s going to be like this, everyone die!!!”

Eventually, everyone stopped running and halted in front of the man.

The sound of zombies approaching this way grew closer and closer.

The vibrations felt from my toes were getting stronger.

Of all the survivors, he had the biggest build.

“Move.”

I spoke coldly.

The man smirked with eyes that registered nothing.

Just looking at him, he’d completely lost it.

“Move!!!”

“Please move!! Let’s all survive together, let’s get out.”

Behind me, people begged the man.

The man didn’t budge an inch.

I sighed briefly and looked down below the skybridge.

A height that would mean instant death if you fell.

“What, you gonna kill me too?”

The man asked with a mocking expression as he looked at me.

“You think you can push me off?”

That’s when the zombie horde appeared in the distance behind us.

The zombies that spotted people started charging at insane speed.

“Please move!!”

Another man who’d been standing behind rushed forward and tackled him.

The man staggered backward.

The zombie horde’s speed was incredibly fast.

Five seconds until everyone died.

The two men grappled with each other on the skybridge, grabbing each other by the collar and wrestling.

Eventually, I kicked the man in the face.

“Ahhh!”

The man clutched his face and fell backward hard.

I stepped on him and started running again.

People frantically followed behind me.

The zombie horde instantly caught up from behind—about half covered the man, while the other half chased after us.

The man’s brutal screams echoed thunderously through the building.

“Ahhhhh!!! You fucking bastards!!! You fuck—!!”

But his screams cut off abruptly too, as if his throat had been torn out.

I ran like crazy until I was out of the camera’s frame without looking back.

“Wow, the smell of corn syrup.”

“Never knew blood smelled this sweet….”

“The sweetness is killing me. Suddenly got a sugar craving. Want something sweet.”

After today’s filming wrapped entirely, actors who’d been running all day collapsed here and there around the set.

The corn syrup smell from the fake blood permeated the entire building.

After going through so many takes while running, the sweet smell was making me nauseous—and I’m not even someone who particularly likes sweet things.

The building was old with few windows, making ventilation difficult.

That’s when Jinseok oppa came struggling toward me from the distance, stacking two boxes as big as his torso and groaning.

It was the ice cream and snacks I’d requested.

“Oppa! Thanks!”

I hurried over to take the boxes, but oppa spun his body to keep them away from me.

“?”

“You could hurt your back lifting these. Move aside.”

“Ah, yes.”

Ever since the car accident before filming <Night of Fire>, Jinseok oppa had become sensitive about my health and safety from A to Z.

‘If only I’d been more careful…. I’m so sorry, Sena.’

I’d told him countless times it was okay, but oppa still carried guilt in a corner of his heart.

Plus, I’d even ended up needing therapy, so his guilt must have been indescribable.

I smiled brightly and threw my arm around Jinseok oppa’s shoulder.

“You’re definitely our strongman.”

“This is all I’ve got going for me, gotta do my part.”

Oppa spoke as if it was nothing as he set down the boxes.

“Everyone, come get some ice cream!”

Actors and staff perked up their ears from all around and came rushing over.

“Wow, amazing!”

“Sena-ssi’s the best as always. Ahh, feels like I’m coming back to life.”

As the zombie actors swarmed around, Jinseok oppa flinched with a startled expression.

Seeing that made me laugh.

The zombie actors also laughed as they quickly demolished the ice cream.

“I’ll wait in the car then.”

“Thanks, oppa.”

The moment Jinseok oppa left, actors rushed over to stand next to me snapping verification shots one after another.

These days, another hot topic was the SNS verification shots that supporting actors kept uploading.

‘The woman who’s close but can’t be caught, with Tak Yeowon’

‘The real power even zombies fear—Tak Yeowon’

‘Unnie, can I bite you?’

‘The woman who runs better than zombies’

#TakYeowon #Zombie #Deadline

Posts tagging me kept making headlines, becoming issues across various communities and social media.

“Gotta upload today’s too.”

“Unnie, take one with me too!”

“Sure.”

After having another round of photo time like that, I headed toward the van where Jinseok oppa was waiting.

“Great work, everyone! I’m heading out first!”

“Oh, now that you mention it, didn’t Sena-ssi have another shoot somewhere today?”

“Wow, after all that running, another one? That’s insane. Is that even possible?”

Staff members’ eyes went wide.

Seeing their faces made me smile sheepishly.

“Ah, it’s a small shoot. A favor for an acquaintance.”

“What kind of shoot is it?”

“Check it out on TV later!”

I left those cryptic words behind and quickly departed.

After driving another hour and a half, I arrived at a different filming location.

This time I got out carrying armfuls of coffee with Jinseok oppa.

A familiar face in the distance waved coolly.

“You’re here. Why’d you buy coffee?”

“Complaining even when I buy it for you?”

“I was gonna buy it for you.”

It was Kim Eunseo, unchanged even after not seeing her in a while.

The moment Kim Eunseo took the coffee, she turned around grinning.

“Everyone, coffee!”

I was secretly shocked by that innocent face.

Whether it’s Seo Jaeyeon or this one, they’re exactly the same.

“Wow, it’s Han Sena!”

“Amazing. Can I get an autograph?!”

Staff and Kim Eunseo’s fellow actors approached.

I bowed deeply while greeting each person.

The reason I’d come to this set today was because of Kim Eunseo’s request for a cameo in her new romcom.

Kim Eunseo took a sip of coffee and asked.

“You’re crazy busy these days, right?”

“Don’t even get me started. I’m basically a track athlete now.”

Kim Eunseo, who’d been drinking coffee, burst out laughing and choked.

“Oh right, you’re getting chased by zombies.”

“Seriously running all day long.”

Kim Eunseo also laughed with an exhausted face.

“Must be tough doing athlete activities. Thanks for coming, sunbaenim.”

“Sena-ssi, let us know when you’re ready!”

The director who’d shaken hands earlier spoke.

“Yes! I’m all set!”

“Oh, that’s fast.”

At my words, a staff member from the distance came over carrying a bucket full of water.

Seeing that bucket made me grin wickedly.

“Can I get a few NGs?”

Kim Eunseo’s forced smile twitched at the corners.

“Sunbaenim, please be patient.”

“Can’t I?”

“Please.”

Seeing Kim Eunseo in this deferential position for the first time since we’d met made me chuckle inwardly.

In this small cameo scene, Kim Eunseo was scheduled to get drenched by me.

Kim Eunseo, who was already sensitive to cold, had already plastered heat packs all over inside her clothes.

“Fine, fine.”

I patted her shoulder reassuringly as if to say don’t worry.

“Standby!”

* * *

“Ready, action!”

Under a low bridge.

Kim Eunseo looked up at the other actor Gong Jinhyeok with tears welling in her eyes.

For Kim Eunseo’s character Jeong Ijin, today had been the worst day—everything that could go wrong went wrong.

She’d been fired from the company she’d worked at for years, and misunderstandings had piled up since morning, leaving her boyfriend furious.

“Let’s just end it here.”

At Gong Jinhyeok’s words, Kim Eunseo bit her lip.

“You’re saying that under some bridge?!”

I was on top of the bridge listening to the lines while suppressing my laughter.

The female lead’s sharp and whiny personality matched Kim Eunseo perfectly.

“So what, do we have to pick a location even for breaking up?”

“Of course. Why wouldn’t we? When you confessed to me, didn’t you agonize over whether to do it at a restaurant, park, or in front of my house?”

“….”

“Then we should pick a spot for breaking up too. Why wouldn’t we?”

At Kim Eunseo’s assertive attitude, the male lead seemed at a loss for words as silence fell briefly.

“Why do you act like such a child about everything.”

“….”

“Always whining and sulking. How old are you even?”

“You said you liked this side of me!!”

Kim Eunseo finally burst into tears.

Gong Jinhyeok let out a short sigh.

Then turned and walked toward the opposite side.

Kim Eunseo huffed indignantly watching that, but once Gong Jinhyeok completely disappeared from view, she crouched down on the ground.

Then burst into loud sobs.

Listening to those sorrowful cries, I was secretly amazed.

‘Kim Eunseo’s acting has improved so much.’

I’d been incredibly shocked by how much she’d grown in such a short time even during <Desert Island>.

But now it was incomparable to back then.

Her crying, her lines, her gestures—everything had perfectly melted into the character.

Thinking back to just a few years ago during the school final play, this was incredible growth.

Imagining how hard she must have worked behind the scenes made me feel proud and impressed.

That’s when suddenly something went pop from the car parked by the bridge.

Kim Eunseo stopped crying mid-sob and jumped in shock, approaching the front of the car.

Grayish smoke was rising from the tire.

It was none other than a blown tire.

Kim Eunseo eventually collapsed onto the hood and sobbed loudly.

“What is this! What even is this!!”

Right on cue, I lifted the bucket.

I quickly aimed at Kim Eunseo and swung the bucket.

Splash—the sound rang out as Kim Eunseo got drenched.

Kim Eunseo let out a short scream.

I quickly leaned my body over the bridge with a shocked expression.

“S-sorry.”

“Who are you!!!”

Kim Eunseo screamed at me.

I flinched, shoulders jumping as I pulled back slightly.

“It’s not like that… I have this habit of spraying water whenever I see acting….”

“What? Are you kidding me?”

“It’s not a joke… I used to work as a firefighter so….”

I trailed off with an awkward expression.

“What? This is unbelievable, seriously….”

Kim Eunseo glared at me before flopping back onto the hood as if she had no strength left to be angry.

Then continued crying.

After crying like that for a while, the director sent the signal through the megaphone.

“Cut! Wow, both of you—great acting! So funny!”

Staff rushed over to quickly wrap the shivering Kim Eunseo in a blanket.

That should be good enough, right?

I also smiled slightly while looking at the director.

“Everything was great actually. Let’s go one more time. The water aim was slightly off.”

“Huh?”

Uh, wait….?

Kim Eunseo’s face instantly went blank.

Our eyes met.

I sheepishly raised my hand.

“Uh, I’m sorry.”
