After completing the three-day fan meeting marathon.

Various articles, community posts, and SNS were plastered with fan meeting follow-up stories.

Videos of guest appearances and the fans’ cosplay show were especially the biggest hits.

I laughed repeatedly watching videos of Lee Seonho and Seo Jaeyeon each dancing—one looking like he was about to cry, the other fuming with anger.

The two appeared together on the second day, danced, even sang, and left.

-Can’t help it, I’m becoming a fan too!!

Videos and photos from the day were uploaded to the SNS accounts of the colleagues who appeared as guests, making it the talk of the town for days.

‘Han Sena, see you at my fan meeting ^^’

Seeing the comment Seo Jaeyeon wrote while grinding his teeth did send a slight chill down my spine.

But I deliberately pretended not to notice, scrolling past and firmly pressing the heart button.

-My beloved Jaeyeon ^^ You dance so well too♥

After leaving a comment, I stretched pleasantly.

After the fan meeting schedule ended, I’d practically spent an entire day unconscious at home, just sleeping.

After finally regaining consciousness and checking reactions, I set down my phone.

My whole body felt stiff.

Now I had to dive back into filming preparations.

The first shoot was approaching right around the corner.

I dragged my heavy body to sit in front of my studio table.

I opened the script, its edges already tattered before filming had even begun.

Looking at the script densely covered with notes, Im Hyangmin suddenly came to mind.

‘Han Jina’s tone is way too strong.’

Before the fan meeting, during the several days we held readings, Im Hyangmin and I clashed multiple times.

The director coordinated between our opinions, checking off dispute points throughout the script.

He’d probably bring solutions once filming began in earnest.

Clear directing would be necessary…

But somehow I had an uneasy feeling it wouldn’t go that way.

The more the director left things to the actors’ autonomy, the more I’d keep clashing with that sunbaenim.

Worry started flooding in.

“No, it’s fine.”

I patted both cheeks and started reading the script again.

Even if that did happen.

I’d think about it then.

First, I needed to envision in my mind how I’d execute each cut, frame by frame.

“I told you not to pull any nonsense.”

I delivered the line and immediately began immersing myself.

First day of filming.

We began the blessing ceremony under the spotlight of public attention.

After the director stuck a wad of bills in the pig’s head, he bowed deeply.

It was the largest amount I’d ever seen on a film set.

I laughed a bit in surprise, when the director who’d finished bowing spoke.

“When you bow with big money, the results are big too.”

When someone whose films’ cumulative audience exceeded South Korea’s entire population said that, it somehow felt trustworthy.

Im Hyangmin and I also simultaneously bowed carefully.

After the staff took turns bowing.

The director shouted brightly.

“Alright, let’s do this.”

Im Hyangmin grinned and patted my shoulder.

“Sena, looking forward to working with you.”

“Me too!”

“I might be a bit sharp from now on. I’d appreciate if you could understand. If there’s anything you don’t like, always speak openly and honestly, okay? Just tell me.”

“Got it.”

I also smiled brightly at Im Hyangmin.

Unlike my smiling expression, I started feeling nervous inside.

Whew, this is really starting now.

It felt like the most nerve-wracking moment before a first shoot I’d experienced countless times.

I pulled myself together and gripped the script tightly.

* * *

The location for the first scene was an orphanage.

A scene where Han Jina, who’d enjoyed partying with alcohol and drugs to her heart’s content, volunteers with an innocent face then vomits behind a wall.

Lee Dongkyo, appearing disguised as a local resident, would follow along suspecting Han Jina’s double life.

“Ready, action!”

The moment I heard the director’s cue, I gripped the wall and spat out the liquid I’d been holding in my mouth with an urgh.

It was vomit liquid the props team had made while being as considerate of taste as possible.

Feeling the subtle scent of scorched rice, I wiped my mouth.

The camera was right beside me, closely following my actions.

That’s when I felt a presence behind me.

“Oh my, looks like you mixed your drinks last night.”

Im Hyangmin stood with his hands in his pockets, smiling good-naturedly.

“Who are you?”

Im Hyangmin offered a handkerchief instead of a business card.

“I’m a local resident. I also come by the orphanage to visit the kids sometimes.”

“Ah, you volunteer.”

I wiped my mouth with Lee Dongkyo’s handkerchief and put it in my pocket.

“Uh, you should return the handkerchief.”

“Oh, really? There’s barely anything on it.”

I handed the handkerchief back to Im Hyangmin.

Im Hyangmin examined the handkerchief carefully then murmured “I see.”

I glanced at Im Hyangmin briefly then nodded.

“Thanks. Well then.”

“Yes, take care.”

Like that, after I disappeared outside the camera’s range…

Im Hyangmin continued the take.

Im Hyangmin approached the wall where my vomit had pooled and crouched down.

Then held the handkerchief against it, soaking it thoroughly, and pulled out a plastic bag from his pocket.

It was to collect drug evidence.

“Ugh, fuck. This is disgusting.”

Im Hyangmin scrunched up his face.

“Cut!”

The director’s simple, clear cut signal dropped.

Im Hyangmin stood up.

Everyone on set, including me, waited for the director’s next cue…

The director made a hmm sound, lost deep in thought.

“I wish it had a bit more impact.”

At the director’s words, I also fell into thought.

From my perspective, it was a scene we’d executed smoothly.

This cut wouldn’t even be a few seconds of the film, and it wasn’t over-the-top or lacking.

“Let’s try it again.”

The director spoke without giving any direction at all.

“…?”

The staff and Im Hyangmin headed back to their positions.

I alone stood there with a question mark on my face.

Im Hyangmin looked at me and gestured for me to go in front of the camera.

“….”

Feeling that anxious sense I’d had during preparation becoming reality, I walked back in front of the camera.

The props team brought me the cup again.

I dumped the liquid fully into my mouth and gripped the wall again.

‘What am I supposed to do…?’

“Ready, action!”

After the director’s action cue dropped again.

“Urgh. Ugh.”

I immediately made vomiting motions, spitting out the liquid in several bursts.

After the ground became a disgusting mess of vomit, even to my own eyes.

“Oh my, looks like you mixed your drinks last night.”

Im Hyangmin appeared once more.

I wiped my mouth and turned around.

I glanced over Im Hyangmin and asked.

“Who are you?”

“I’m a local resident. I also come by the orphanage to visit the kids sometimes.”

“Ah, you volunteer.”

Before approaching Im Hyangmin, I suddenly looked at the ground covered in vomit.

Then looked back at Im Hyangmin and smiled slightly.

“Pretty gross, isn’t it?”

It was a line not in the script.

Even while delivering it, I had zero plan for how to develop it.

“Not at all, I fry pancakes all the time too.”

Im Hyangmin smoothly caught the line.

I looked at Im Hyangmin then used my shoe to sweep dirt over the vomit.

“!”

Im Hyangmin looked at me with a flustered face.

After roughly covering the vomit like that.

Im Hyangmin pulled out his handkerchief while hiding his flustered reaction.

“At least take this?”

“Ah, thanks. You’re a good citizen?”

I raised my voice tone and smiled with eye smiles.

From a glance, it would look like the image of Han Jina—an irresponsible chaebol daughter.

I roughly wiped my mouth and handed it back to Im Hyangmin.

“Thank you.”

“Yes….”

“Well then.”

With a much lighter expression, I left the camera’s range.

Even outside the camera, I walked for a while, then turned around and looked at Im Hyangmin.

Im Hyangmin was looking in the direction I’d left with an expression like he’d eaten shit.

Then went back to the wall and crouched down again.

Im Hyangmin sighed with an agonizing expression.

“Ah fuck, seriously. This is disgusting.”

Im Hyangmin began digging through the dirt covering my vomit with an extremely irritated face.

It was an expression where you couldn’t distinguish whether it was acting possessed by Lee Dongkyo or Im Hyangmin’s actual feelings.

Im Hyangmin wrapped the soaked dirt in the handkerchief and pulled out a plastic bag.

Watching from afar, I furrowed my brow too.

‘Ugh.’

Even though it wasn’t real vomit, it was liquid that came from my mouth.

As Im Hyangmin roughly shoved the plastic bag in his pocket, the director shouted with satisfaction.

“Cut! Okay!!”

It was a pleased, upbeat voice.

Hearing the cue, Im Hyangmin smoothly stood up from his spot.

Staff hurried over with water and poured it over Im Hyangmin’s messy hands.

Seeing Im Hyangmin’s face looking genuinely annoyed, laughter suddenly burst out of me.

“You laughing? This is funny??”

Then the staff also started giggling while watching Im Hyangmin’s reaction.

“Ah, seriously.”

“Good cut, Hyangmin.”

The director stood up from his spot while reading the room, tossing out praise.

“Ah, enough!”

The director laughed like it was nothing.

But watching the director like that made me feel worried inside.

Was filming going to continue like this going forward?

Surely not, every single cut can’t be like this.

Suppressing my anxiety, I quickly moved positions, blending in with the staff withdrawing equipment.

* * *

But sure enough.

Director Jin’s hellish directing was only just beginning.

The next shoot continued immediately at a nearby boxing gym.

On top of the ring in a small boxing gym with barely any light coming through.

Im Hyangmin was tied up in one corner, beaten to a pulp.

Wearing gloves, I tapped Im Hyangmin’s head lightly.

But only briefly, as I swung down at Im Hyangmin’s head with force.

Im Hyangmin reacted to being hit, jerking his head sharply and letting out a groan.

“Ahjussi, why are you following me around? Are you a stalker?”

I looked down at Im Hyangmin innocently and asked.

Im Hyangmin coughed with a pained face.

“Stalker my ass, you….”

I lightly kicked Im Hyangmin’s chin with my toes.

But right then.

“Cut, cut!”

The director, who’d positioned himself inside the boxing gym, shouted.

“Sena-ssi, harder! You can’t do it like that.”
