After the filming setup was complete.

Inside Han Jina’s living room.

I stood in front of the camera and sat on the sofa, completely focused.

From the moment we’d greeted each other, I’d deliberately avoided making eye contact with Jung Yeowon.

I frowned slightly and crossed my arms with an expression so cold it bordered on frightening.

The scene we were filming now showed Han Jina finally being arrested and taken away by Lee Dongkyo, exposed by Jung Yeowon’s confession.

The scene where Han Jina truly began to crumble.

Jung Yeowon glanced at me nervously and rubbed her hands together.

Her fingertips seemed to have turned cold from the tension.

I wanted to go over and comfort her.

But instead I could only tense my body further and gather even more rage.

If we ended up doing multiple takes, this would be mentally exhausting for Jung Yeowon.

“Ready.”

The director’s voice flowed from the speakers installed on set.

“Action!”

The moment I heard the action cue, my legs started trembling.

Then I looked over at Jung Yeowon, who stood politely in one corner.

“What did Lee Dongkyo find.”

Jung Yeowon just listened quietly to my words.

I bit my nails and my legs shook even harder.

“Aaaah!!!”

Then I suddenly exploded in rage and screamed.

“Why is everyone pissing me off, huh? Hey, you.”

The sparks flew straight toward Jung Yeowon.

Jung Yeowon jumped in surprise, her shoulders flinching.

In the story, Han Jina’s secretary had already gathered secret documents containing evidence of Han Jina’s crimes and handed them over to Lee Dongkyo.

Having already lost her boyfriend, the secretary was sharpening her blade of revenge against Han Jina, determined not to take it anymore.

But… the opponent was Han Jina.

The secretary was trembling with fear.

If that detective messed up somehow…

She didn’t know what would happen not only to herself but to the people around her.

Watching her look even more tense than usual, I raised my eyebrows.

“Did you do something to me?”

“….”

“Why are you so tense too, all freaking out. All freaking out. I’m pissed off enough as it is.”

“I’m sorry.”

Jung Yeowon said quietly.

I watched Jung Yeowon, then suddenly asked.

“But do you also think I killed people?”

At my question, Jung Yeowon’s entire body froze.

As if hitting pause.

I failed to catch that reaction and kept talking.

“Did I shoot anyone, did I stab them with a knife? No, they did drugs and died at a party with me, they died fighting over money.”

“….”

“Why should I take the blame for all that? Right?”

“…….”

Jung Yeowon’s expression gradually turned ice cold.

I observed Jung Yeowon’s lack of response before saying “Ah, right” and smirking.

“Your ex-boyfriend was Lee Seonghoon.”

“…Yes.”

“Did you forget?”

“…….”

“What, still? Are you a sunflower?”

I flopped onto the sofa as if amused and looked up at Jung Yeowon.

Then rested my chin in my hand innocently and asked.

“Did you really love him?”

“…Yes.”

“Mm.”

Hearing that, I shook my head as if pitying her.

Jung Yeowon asked in a trembling voice.

Her head stayed bowed, not looking at me.

“Then… does Representative think you didn’t kill anyone?”

“What?”

Hearing that, I lowered the smile that had been playing on my lips.

Then stood up from my seat.

I slowly approached Jung Yeowon.

This time Jung Yeowon didn’t flinch but stood her ground and raised her head to look at me.

I stared at Jung Yeowon with a twisted expression.

“So you think I killed people?”

“…People died in Representative’s game, so…”

Before Jung Yeowon could finish, I violently slapped her cheek.

My palm stung from hitting her cheek so hard.

Jung Yeowon jumped in shock and clutched her face.

Watching that face, I smiled in disbelief.

“You’ve gone crazy. Got nothing to fear, just because one pathetic man died?”

“….”

Jung Yeowon froze with her head blank, just holding her slapped cheek.

“…….”

But the expected silence stretched on longer than anticipated.

Jung Yeowon didn’t deliver her next line.

I waited quietly for the line…

Jung Yeowon pulled back sharply with a flustered expression.

“I’m, I’m sorry.”

“?”

I looked at Jung Yeowon in surprise.

“I forgot my line, for a moment… I’m sorry.”

“Ah.”

“I’m sorry!”

Jung Yeowon bowed toward where the staff were, then toward me, apologizing profusely.

The moment she got slapped, her mind seemed to have gone completely blank.

I could tell without her saying.

I placed my hand on Jung Yeowon’s shoulder.

At that, Jung Yeowon looked at me in surprise.

Without a word, I briefly met her eyes and stepped back.

I needed to regain my emotions.

To maintain the rhythm and emotional flow between the secretary and Han Jina, I couldn’t comfort her now.

Jung Yeowon bit her lip while watching my hardened expression.

“I’m really sor—”

“Stop.”

I raised my hand, cutting off her words.

Jung Yeowon became even more flustered and clenched both hands tightly.

I turned my back coldly and walked back to the sofa.

* * *

“Ready, action!”

“I raised you with such care. My parents took you from that orphanage where you were living like shit, I brought you in, fed you, clothed you, raised you.”

“….”

“And I even gave you this decent job. With how many people wanting to be my secretary, you landed this position.”

I stopped talking and swept my hair back.

As emotion surged, my hand trembled on its own.

“This is betrayal.”

Jung Yeowon lowered the hand that had been clutching her cheek and looked at me.

That gaze filled me with rage all over again.

I glared at her with a scowl.

“How dare you look at me like that? Why pin the blame on me? And you of all people. How could you.”

I jabbed Jung Yeowon’s shoulder repeatedly with my finger, pushing her back.

“You miserable bitch.”

With her back against the wall, Jung Yeowon looked straight at me.

A tear welled up in one of Jung Yeowon’s eyes.

That last remark seemed to have struck deep.

“If you hadn’t said that just now.”

“What?”

“I would’ve given you one last chance to live.”

“…What are you talking about.”

I narrowed my eyes and stared at Jung Yeowon.

“I wasn’t going to betray you out of gratitude for what you’d done for me.”

“….”

“You brought this on yourself.”

Jung Yeowon looked at me with hardened eyes.

Ding-dong—

Right on cue, the doorbell rang.

Slightly startled, I glared toward the intercom.

Then with a face like I’d seen something that shouldn’t be there, I slowly frowned and approached the intercom.

The screen filled with Im Hyangmin’s face.

“What is this.”

Jung Yeowon walked over to the intercom with an expression that had suddenly turned calm.

Then pressed the door release button.

“What are you….”

Jung Yeowon looked straight at me and said once more.

“You brought this on yourself.”

The end of those words still trembled.

Only now realizing the situation, I screamed and lunged at Jung Yeowon.

I reached out and grabbed Jung Yeowon’s hair.

“You crazy bitch!!!!!”

That’s when the sound of pounding on the front door began.

Thump thump—!

‘Hey, Han Jina, open up! The warrant you’ve been waiting for is here.’

Hearing that, I swung my fist at Jung Yeowon like a madwoman.

Jung Yeowon took the hits silently while glaring at me until the end.

“Biting your master? Did I, did my parents teach you that? Huh?!”

Jung Yeowon’s cheek swelled up quickly.

Blood flowed from Jung Yeowon’s nose and mouth.

Looking down at that face, I immediately headed to the kitchen.

Then quickly grabbed a kitchen knife.

I approached Jung Yeowon again and held the knife to her.

Jung Yeowon flinched in surprise and stepped back.

“You need to be punished too. For the sin of betrayal, how severely you need to be punished.”

“…Put the knife down.”

Jung Yeowon trembled as she took one step, two steps back.

On my end, I approached Jung Yeowon one step, two steps with completely unhinged eyes.

The grand piano placed by the window blocked Jung Yeowon’s retreat.

With her escape route cut off, Jung Yeowon hurriedly changed direction.

But I was faster.

I grabbed Jung Yeowon’s hair again and laid her on the floor, pressing the knife to her throat.

Jung Yeowon let out a groan of “Ugh…” and gripped my arm holding the knife tightly.

“Die!!!!!!!!!!!”

I screamed like a madwoman and put force into it.

The knife gradually drew closer to Jung Yeowon’s delicate skin.

That’s when the sound of the front door being forced open came, and Im Hyangmin burst in.

He came with other detectives.

“Han Jina-ssi, drugs, murder….”

Im Hyangmin looked at Jung Yeowon getting beaten.

“And attempted murder. You’re under arrest as an active offender.”

“Fuck….”

I let out an empty laugh and dropped the knife from my hand.

The knife fell onto the cold marble floor with a clang—a scraping sound.

Jung Yeowon’s body trembled as she crawled on both arms toward Im Hyangmin.

The detectives quickly moved toward Jung Yeowon and helped her up to her feet.

But then the detectives suddenly flinched in surprise and stepped back.

Between the legs of Jung Yeowon, unable to control her body, urine was flowing down.

Yellow urine quickly soaked the floor.

The detectives supported Jung Yeowon again and quickly exited the scene.

Watching that retreating figure, I let out a hollow laugh.

“So it was all rigged. To bury one person, really.”

I stared quietly at the piss that had soaked my slippers.

Then turned my gaze to Im Hyangmin.

For the first time, Im Hyangmin looked at me with an expression that seemed pleased.

“A gift. The warrant. You bastard.”

At those words, I forced out a smirk.

“I’m Han Jina. A chaebol. I won’t fall from something like this.”

Im Hyangmin approached while pretending not to hear my words.

Then placed handcuffs on one of my wrists with a click.

The moment the cold metal touched my skin, chills ran down my spine.

“Handcuffs are heavier than you’d think, huh?”

“….”

“People who’ve never worn them don’t know. They’re made of pretty heavy material.”

Saying that, he finished cuffing my other wrist.

With both hands completely restrained, I was dragged along by Im Hyangmin.

I stopped just before exiting through the front door.

Then looked at Im Hyangmin and rambled on.

“I didn’t do drugs, I didn’t kill anyone. And just now wasn’t attempted murder, it was….”

“Yeah, go ahead and say it there.”

“I’ll talk to my lawyer. I just got angry. There’s no evidence….”

“Evidence? I came because I have it.”

Im Hyangmin smirked.

“….”

Looking at that face, I bit my lip hard.

With an expression that felt both frustrated and threatened.

“You’re lucky with people. Everyone around you gave it up, kid.”

At those words, I whipped my head around to look where Jung Yeowon had disappeared.

“That fucking bit—”

“It’s not to fix your rotten personality, everyone’s doing this. Right? Let’s go.”

Im Hyangmin pulled my arm again.

While walking, I muttered quietly in a tone suggesting this situation was tiresome.

“I won’t end like this.”

Im Hyangmin deliberately pretended not to hear and led me to the waiting car.

In front of the camera that had been following us the whole time, I completely changed my expression to show a vicious look.
