The members looked like they had a lot to say about that incredible line, but they all tried their best to suppress their laughter.

[Minseong: Shall we hear a report on what you’ve been up to lately?]

The members, who had received the concept from the production team before filming, decided to stay true to their roles.

[Cheong: I’ve been hunting vampires. What else would I be doing?]

[Minseong: No, well… that’s true, but surely you haven’t only been hunting vampires.]

[Cheong: But I was only out catching vampires, though?]

The conversation ended there.

Every attempt at conversation was immediately shut down by the rookie hunter, so the guild master finally called in his assigned mentor.

[Minseong: Who trained this rookie? Who taught him?]

[Cheong: He did!]

Cheong pointed at Baekya.

[Baekya: Me?]

Baekya pointed at himself, looking like he was hearing this for the first time.

[Cheong: Baekya is #5. I’m #6.]

[Baekya: Ah, right.]

The person ranked #5 in the team’s hierarchy was a bit slow on the uptake.

[Minseong: Right. You trained him?]

[Baekya: Yes. I think so.]

[Minseong: What’s with that answer?]

As the leader grew frustrated with the vague answer, the person ranked #4, who had been watching the conversation, intervened.

[Yooyeon: For the record, Baekya joined the guild later than the maknae.]

[Minseong: Huh? Then why is he the senior?]

[Yooyeon: It’s complicated. Don’t try to understand it, just memorize it.]

Baekya was a hierarchy-breaker even in their self-produced content.

[Yulmu: Shall we sit down and talk first? It seems the owner of the castle is away~]

[Cheong: Then let’s take this place for ourselves!]

[Yooyeon: That’s a good idea.]

Yulmu led the members to their seats.

In front of the DASE members, who sat side-by-side facing forward, was a red envelope for each.

[Jihan: There’s something written here? It’s in English.]

Cheong read the English, showing off his fluent pronunciation.

[Cheong: ‘There is a vampire here!’]

[Baekya: There’s a vampire among us?]

[Yooyeon: When did you get bitten by a vampire? I knew something was up since you started going around alone. It’s you, hyung, isn’t it?]

[Minseong: Me? It’s not me.]

Minseong was genuinely bewildered as the blame was shifted to him.

[Cheong: Isn’t it Yulmu? Yulmu? He’s the only one in black!]

[Yulmu: Brother, do not be deceived by what is visible to the eye. You must see with your heart. Namu Amitabha, Avalokitesvara.]

Yulmu crossed himself while simultaneously chanting Buddhist prayers.

[Cheong: What? This guy’s weird.]

[Jihan: He’s a terrible hybrid.]

[Minseong: I think he got a little too immersed in the role… Anyway, let’s verify everyone’s alibis. Tell us what you’ve been doing.]

The guild master requested reports from his hunters.

[Yulmu: I was praying in the cathedral as usual. Then, I received a mysterious invitation and came here. There are priests who saw me, so if you are suspicious, you may ask them.]

Yulmu’s alibi was spotless.

[Baekya: But isn’t he—no, isn’t the Priest not a hunter?]

[Yulmu: Brother? It has only been one minute since I told you not to be deceived by what is visible.]

[Baekya: No, that’s not what I meant…]

[Jihan: Does he mean we don’t need to prove his alibi because he’s not a hunter?]

[Baekya: Exactly.]

[Yulmu: Brother? Though I entered the path of priesthood first, I still hunt evil alongside all of you. In my heart, I am a hunter.]

[Cheong: Agh! What is he saying. Just let him be a hunter! Next!]

Cheong grew frustrated as Yulmu became too immersed in his character, using strange speech patterns and difficult words.

[Minseong: Right, then. Next hunter, please report.]

[Jihan: I heard a rumor that a vampire was seen in the neighboring village, so I was investigating there.]

[Minseong: Did you find anything?]

[Jihan: If I had, I wouldn’t be here.]

Minseong tilted his head at the rebellious response.

[Minseong: Am I not the leader?]

[Jihan: You are.]

[Minseong: Then why does it feel like you’re the leader?]

[Jihan: It’s just your imagination.]

The DASE guild master had a clumsy side. The next hunter reported.

[Yooyeon: I found traces of a vampire in the neighboring village. I rescued a villager who was almost taken by a vampire and then chased after it.]

[Minseong: Huh? Then why didn’t you report it?]

[Yooyeon: Because I lost it. I was going to contact headquarters as soon as the sun rose, but then I received an invitation. Isn’t a report that I caught it better than a report that I lost it?]

[Minseong: Hmm. That’s true. That makes sense.]

[Yooyeon: See?]

Minseong, who had been swayed by his subordinates for a while, looked at Baekya next.

[Baekya: I was digging a trap to catch a vampire.]

[Minseong: What kind of trap…?]

[Baekya: I heard they like peach pies, so I was peeling peaches to bake bread.]

[Yulmu: How cruel! Is this not a tragedy of ‘kin eating kin’!]

[Jihan: Giving up his own flesh to take their bones… Hunter Baekya is clearly innocent.]

Baekya was excluded as a vampire suspect for a ridiculous reason.

The members’ over-the-top reactions nearly made him laugh, but Human Peach managed to hold it together.

[Minseong: Next. Rookie.]

[Cheong: I went to catch a vampire too! It ran to the mountains, so I followed and shot an arrow, but I missed.]

[Yooyeon: It was hit by an arrow?]

[Cheong: Yes! I saw a bloodstain and came here.]

[Minseong: Blood… what?]

[Jihan: A bloodstain.]

The rookie hunter said he followed the bloodstain of the vampire he missed all the way to the castle. If his words were true, the vampire was currently injured.

[Yulmu: Geez~ then it’s easy. Can’t we just find the injured person? Everyone, take off your clothes.]

[Minseong: Are—are you sane?]

[Yulmu: Didn’t it graze the shoulder? We just need to peel off the tops~]

[Jihan: You take yours off first.]

[Yulmu: Okay! Me first~]

[Minseong: Grab that guy.]

Minseong clutched his forehead, saying his head throbbed. At the boss’s command, Cheong and Yooyeon ran and grabbed Yulmu’s arms as he put up a light resistance.

[Yulmu: I mean, is there a faster way than taking them off?]

[Yooyeon: What kind of priest is this? Acting so shameless.]

[Cheong: So shameless!]

The black priest eventually had his wrists restrained.

The topic returned to the main point.

[Minseong: We have to find the vampire mixed among us to solve this case and safely escape this castle.]

[Cheong: Wait, are we trapped?]

[Jihan: Yes. We are.]

[Baekya: But how are we supposed to find the vampire?]

At Baekya’s question, Minseong held up the red envelope and shouted.

[Minseong: There is always only one truth! The culprit is inside this!]

[Baekya: Isn’t that something we already know?]

Minseong looked troubled by the oblivious bird’s innocent question.

Yooyeon and Cheong were dying of laughter at Baekya, hitting each other in delight. On the other hand, Jihan—frustrated by the slow progress—couldn’t wait any longer and tore open the envelope.

[Jihan: I’ll just read it for you. ‘Welcome, hunters who have come to my castle. Tonight is the night of the full moon. Let us end our long, ill-fated relationship here.’]

[Jihan: ‘I have hidden clues about myself throughout the castle. Perform the missions to find me hiding among you. I will gladly die at your hands.’]

[Jihan: ‘However, it would be no fun to just take it, so I plan to interfere to ensure you cannot leave this castle.’]

The letter concluded by saying it was looking forward to seeing whether five hunters would escape—or whether six vampires would remain behind.

[Cheong: I’m not scared at all! Let’s catch it! Let’s go catch it quickly!]

[Baekya: Wait a second. People like you are always the first to die.]

[Cheong: What?! Did you just swear at me? Yooyeon, the hamster said let’s kill me first. It’s definitely suspicious.]

[Yooyeon: You’re the suspicious one. Are you sure you even understand the game?]

To keep things moving smoothly, the members explained the rules as they understood them and compared notes.

[Yulmu: The cards all say the same thing~ Instead, it says no more than four people can be in one space.]

[Minseong: Then that means up to three people can be together.]

[Yooyeon: But do we have a time limit?]

[Baekya: The letter said to end the feud on the night of the full moon, so probably before morning.]

[Jihan: Let’s hurry.]

A white moon hung high in the sky outside the window.

There were a total of six locations where clues were hidden: the banquet hall, the dining room, the bedroom, the study, the garden, and the basement.

[Investigation Start!]

The members left the lobby and scattered throughout the castle.

The missions the vampire gave the hunters were as follows:

*   Dining Room: Make a fried egg without breaking the yolk (0/1)

*   Banquet Hall: Ballroom dance (0/1)

*   Study: Find a book about vampires (0/1)

*   Garden: Water the flowers (0/2)

*   Basement: Catch a bat (0/1)

*   Bedroom: Find a hair (0/1)

First, Baekya’s cam.

Baekya’s face was quite serious as he read the mission card.

[Baekya: The one that looks easiest… I should go to the dining room.]

Yooyeon suggested they go together, but in a situation where he didn’t know who was a vampire, he couldn’t just trust the other person. Baekya refused flatly and headed to the dining room alone.

[Baekya: Oh?]

[Jihan: Oh.]

Upon entering, he saw Jihan wearing an apron.

[Baekya: I didn’t see you coming this way?]

[Jihan: Because I ran as soon as it started.]

Entering a defensive stance, the two began to scan each other as if scouting an opponent.

[Jihan: You’re a vampire. You followed me.]

[Baekya: No! I’m a human.]

Jihan held a spatula toward Baekya in a defensive gesture. Baekya, still standing near the entrance, flinched and hurriedly defended himself.

[Baekya: It’s really not me. I really came to fry an egg.]

[Jihan: How can I trust you?]

[Baekya: I don’t know. But please trust me. I won’t touch even a fingertip of yours; I’ll just fry an egg next to you. I promise.]

Baekya held out his pinky finger.
