Possessor #2 Just Wants to Fangirl Chapter 137
“I know everyone’s confused, so let me explain the situation.”
“You dirty bastards!”
“You think you’ll get away with this?!”
“Do you even know who I am? The second I get out of here, you’re dead, you pieces of shXt!”
Gyeon Junhwi was using a megaphone, but the cadets engulfed in rage had no intention of listening to excuses.
Words were being exchanged, but no actual communication was happening.
‘Working like a charm.’
Amid this hostile atmosphere, one man was secretly celebrating—Gong Soohyeok.
The subordinate Yeon Sora called ‘Pickup Guy.’ The one who nearly got his background investigated after hitting on Park Rahee at the wrong time at the movie theater, and who just a few days ago had been branded as trash and grabbed by the collar for not visiting Park Rahee in the hospital.
His mission was to sow discord. And that operation was proceeding more smoothly than expected.
‘Should I stir things up a bit more?’
Gong Soohyeok hid his voice among the countless shouts and raised a new grievance.
“You know what your biggest crime is? Stealing our time! It’s already past 8 AM! Even if we reset now, we’re guaranteed to fail!”
The moment the words left his mouth, a tingling sensation prickled at his fingertips. Soon, numerous cadets echoed Gong Soohyeok’s words and raised their voices in agreement.
“He’s right! The practicals are two nights and three days, and you knocked us out for half a day—does that make any sense?!”
“FXck, if this were an exam, that’s like a one-hour test where you knocked out the other cadets for the last twelve minutes!”
“These bastards were just determined to fail us from the start!”
“You rotten pieces of shXt—this is what class representatives who supposedly represent student rights do?!”
This was the power of the ‘messenger.’
He’d heard that mastering the messenger could even enable mass brainwashing, but that was beyond Gong Soohyeok. Amplifying emotions the cadets already harbored was his limit.
Yet even that was no small power. Watching the cadets repeat his words like an echo filled him with a strange sense of exhilaration.
‘How do you like that, Yeon Sora!’
Gong Soohyeok barely suppressed his laughter as he observed Yeon Sora’s reaction. She’d been calm at first, but now her eyes were wide and blatantly furious.
‘It’s not like I’m doing this over some petty personal grudge, but….’
It just so happened that the mission and his revenge overlapped, and honestly, it felt great.
Just as he was considering turning up the intensity—
“Gyeon Junhwi! Ki Hyeonmin! I don’t care about the rest, but you two are absolute scum of the—”
KA-BOOM!!!!!
A savage flame pierced the ceiling and slammed into the floor. It was the calamity-class flame spear he’d only heard rumors about—Yeon Sora’s.
“……”
“……”
“……”
A suffocating silence fell over the auditorium.
Only a single flame spear had descended. The fierce blaze ignited and vanished in just two seconds, but the force was enough to shake the very foundations.
The first time they’d witnessed a calamity-class ability’s power up close.
For ordinary freshmen, feeling fear was only natural. People trembling all around were visible, and Gong Soohyeok inwardly cheered.
‘You’ve done it now, you crazy bitch!’
The cadets’ frustrations were already boiling over, and now Yeon Sora had used a calamity-class skill to threaten them.
Every attack would now be directed at her!
“……”
“……”
“……”
But no matter how long he waited, the cadets didn’t make a sound. The only voice that could be heard was Ki Hyeonmin’s.
“Yeon Sora, go sit in the back.”
“But these bastards won’t even listen when someone’s trying to talk—”
“Sit down.”
“……”
When Ki Hyeonmin pulled a small piece of paper from his pocket, Yeon Sora cut herself off mid-sentence. She stuck out her lower lip in full displeasure, but walked over to the wall Ki Hyeonmin indicated and plopped down.
“……”
“……”
“……”
Throughout all of this, the auditorium remained silent. Not a single person voiced their discontent toward Yeon Sora.
‘Can’t be helped.’
He’d wanted to avoid drawing attention, but now Gong Soohyeok had to step in personally.
“Yeon Sora, did you just threaten your fellow cadets? With a calamity-class skill?”
“……”
“……”
“Not interested in talking it out? Just resort to force right away?”
“……”
“……”
In the silence, only Gong Soohyeok’s voice echoed hollowly. The tingling at his fingertips, the echoing voices that had followed like clockwork—gone.
The messenger’s power wasn’t working.
An ominous thought flashed through Gong Soohyeok’s mind.
‘No way… did that attack just kill the messenger?’
That was exactly what happened.
Yeon Sora had spotted the grasshopper and was debating whether to catch it. Then the stream of profanity directed at Ki Hyeonmin and Gyeon Junhwi pushed her past her limit, and she’d punished the grasshopper with her flame spear.
But Gong Soohyeok shook his head, dismissing the possibility.
‘Even within the church, no one can see the messenger except the bishops!’
The messenger was a sacred being invisible even to Gong Soohyeok, who had summoned it. There was no way Yeon Sora had gotten a lucky hit.
Something else must have gone wrong.
While Gong Soohyeok scrambled to identify the cause, Gyeon Junhwi calmly began his explanation.
“While you were unconscious, we consolidated all the flags. Combined with the ones we already had, the total is 89. More than the usual average.”
This round of practicals had included a few cadets who were golden geese, and squeezing them to the limit had yielded an unusually high number of flags.
“If we walk out with all 89, we’d get record-breaking bonus points—but we’ve decided not to do that. If we’re going to set a record anyway, we’d rather set a different one. We want to change the 2nd floor’s entry cut.”
‘What’s he talking about?’
Gong Soohyeok tilted his head.
Generally speaking, the Tower’s lower floors had low difficulty. Straightforward missions where you just needed to steadily defeat the monsters in front of you, and floors 3 through 10 could be cleared comfortably within a month.
The problem was the 2nd floor. Complex rules, a survival format requiring you to check other cadets….
Only about 30 out of every 100 cadets passed the 2nd floor on their first attempt. The rest had to repeat it a minimum of two times, sometimes as many as eight, before barely scraping through.
That was why it was called the entry cut zone. And Gyeon Junhwi was saying he’d change that.
‘How?’
…The question was answered quickly.
“This year’s 1st class practicals entry cut is 89 people. Starting now, we’re going to distribute flags to 89 cadets. Fourteen will have to be excluded, but there’s no way around that.”
“?”
“?”
It was hard to believe. It meant handing out free passes through hell. But the offer was too sweet to dismiss out of hand.
“You’re just giving them away? Why?”
“I already told you. We want to set a record.”
“W-wait… is that why you pressure-pointed us and took our flags?”
“That’s right. We figured some people would oppose this plan. If you’re against it, you don’t have to participate. Fourteen people have to be excluded anyway.”
“What’s the criteria for receiving a flag?”
“We’re going to decide by vote. DM us the name of the person you’d rather not receive a flag. The fourteen with the most votes will be excluded.”
“Whoa, insane! As expected from our class reps!”
The atmosphere flipped in an instant. The rage that had been festering everywhere just moments ago vanished without a trace.
While cadets erupted in cheers and excitement, Gong Soohyeok felt a sharp sense of crisis.
His subordinates’ mission was to plant seeds of discord. But Gyeon Junhwi was telling everyone to ‘vote for the person you hate.’
‘FXck, that guy’s head works way too well.’
The enemy of my enemy is my friend, as the saying goes. Gyeon Junhwi’s voting system would give all 89 people a common enemy, strengthening their sense of solidarity. If this played out, this class of practicals cadets would become the most harmonious cohort in history.
That had to be stopped at all costs.
|Gong Soohyeok| Someone summon a messenger, now! We need to stop this flow before the vote ends!
|Seo Injae| I want to, but… my arms still won’t move.
|Cha Eunsoo| Same.
|Lee Dawoon| I can move up to my wrists now…. Give me 10 minutes and I think it’ll wear off. Buy me some time.
He didn’t want to draw attention, but there was no other choice. He had to stir up controversy somehow and stall for ten minutes.
Gong Soohyeok called out loudly.
“But how can we trust you, Gyeon Junhwi? You took all our weapons and paralyzed us, and now you’re saying this—you want us to just trust you?”
The urgency was making his head spin. But Gong Soohyeok’s goal was only to stall. Grab any thread of argument and drag it out for ten minutes, then summon the messenger. But then something unexpected happened.
“Timeout over! Junhwi, I think that guy has a point! Let’s give the weapons back! We can’t have weird misunderstandings, right?”
Yeon Sora, who’d been slumped against the wall, sprang to her feet and accepted his argument.
Gyeon Junhwi’s group huddled together and seemed to confer briefly, but soon they began returning the weapons piled in a corner of the auditorium to their rightful owners.
‘Why…?’
He didn’t understand the reason, but it was welcome.
The messenger would be summoned soon. Once he used the messenger’s power to incite the cadets to attack Yeon Sora, that would be that. No cadet could beat Yeon Sora or Ki Hyeonmin, but that didn’t matter.
‘We don’t need to win.’
Gong Soohyeok’s goal wasn’t victory—it was provocation. As long as he prevented everyone from clearing the 2nd floor together in harmony, that was enough.
Just as he was holding his breath and biding his time, something strange happened.
“Huh? My… my ring is gone!”
“M-my dagger too! What? It was just here….”
“My arrows vanished too!”
“What are you talking about?”
“I was just holding it… it disappeared from my hand!”
Bizarre thefts suddenly started occurring all around.
People were claiming objects had vanished right before their eyes.
One cadet was even screaming.
“Yeon Sora, it was you, wasn’t it?”
“What are you talking about?”
“You’ve had your eye on my gauntlets from the start! And they disappear the second they’re returned—you’re telling me that’s a coincidence? What did you do?”
He knew that person too.
Bang Haeun. From what he’d gathered, she and Yeon Sora had entered together and their relationship had soured.
Bang Haeun seemed convinced Yeon Sora was the thief, but Sora was unfazed.
“Why do you think it’s me? There’s a much more obvious explanation.”
“What….”
“It’s a bug.”
“It’s a bug.”
“Has to be a bug.”
The teammates around Yeon Sora pointed to a bug with perfectly straight faces, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Whatever this was, if it bought him time, he was grateful.
Just summon the messenger—that was all he needed. As Gong Soohyeok turned his head, thinking exactly that, the stiff, ashen faces of his comrades came into view.
Pale faces.
When he checked their uniforms, Gong Soohyeok froze.
The top button of their uniforms was gone.
All four of them.

Yeon Sora time out again 😁 . I wonder if ki hyeomin can be described as the mom of the group .
I wish we have more interaction currently we didn’t see any interaction between ki hyeomin and Han boram or the potion makers daughter
I like the delulu of subordinate where he thinks he can spread delusion when yeon Sora smile alone can deliver a reality check .
Juhwan actions really shows how he made the metaverse at such a large scale .
It makes sense to climb the tower that way since This tested human nature the most and have flag to the non criminal cadets in a way that’s preserving the towers intension
Thank you for the daily bread author !
