Possessor #2 Just Wants to Fangirl Chapter 148
On the way from the medical wing to the dormitory.
Gyeon Junhwi calmly informed us of the upcoming schedule.
“Bang Haeun’s parents will want to have a conversation with you all. Academy policy means classes can’t be skipped, so there’s a high chance they’ll ask to meet after school.”
“Only us? Not you, Junhwi?”
“I wasn’t at the scene, was I?”
“Huh? Then do we even need to meet them?”
“……”
Junhwi paused for a moment, then smiled with excessive kindness.
“They’ve gone to such trouble coming all this way—shouldn’t we meet them?”
Translation: We went through all that trouble stealing the gauntlet to lure the masterminds here, and now you’re saying don’t meet them?
“Does meeting them even mean anything for me? I don’t even know what to say?”
While Junhwi engaged in an information battle with the masterminds, my role was just to watch. Meaning, what’s the point of me going alone?
We exchanged this kind of dialogue for a while.
“Still, they’ll have lots of questions, so wouldn’t meeting be good? (Gotta extract information somehow)”
“They can hear about their questions elsewhere, so why bother? (I have another source)”
“It’s also the proper thing to do. (People are watching, let’s maintain minimum social norms)”
“For people I’ve never even met? (To the masterminds?)”
I want to just tell Junhwi honestly.
I can extract information without meeting the masterminds! Scientist unnie’s going to draw blood and experiment!
But the moment I say that, the confidentiality contract will burst into flames, and scientist unnie will claim I broke my promise, slice open my stomach, and extract my liver.
That was the contract condition.
‘I’ll have to wait until results come out….’
The confidentiality obligation only applies to the blood bank truth, illegal blood harvesting tools, dangerous equipment installed in the lab, and so on.
Staying silent about the source and only mentioning experimental results is possible. That much can be sufficiently covered by the fortune-teller setting, so no problem.
I was continuing these various thoughts when Junhwi’s gaze turned toward my side.
“More importantly… you must have been really shocked going through something so big today, are you okay?”
Come to think of it, Yeom Juwan, Han Boram, and Seong Hayul hadn’t said a single word throughout the entire journey. Their expressions were gloomy too, like rain clouds ready to burst.
I know Bang Haeun was discarded by the masterminds, but from these kids’ perspective, it’s just a wicked classmate trying to take her own life.
“I’m wondering if we went too far….”
Seong Hayul is currently walking the path of reformation, and it seems she’s reached the point of feeling sympathy even for villains.
“S-sorry. I-I should have k-kept watch over B-Bang Haeun too…. I o-only protected p-precious people and d-didn’t think about d-dangerous ones… waaaah.”
She’s bursting into tears, but Boram’s mentality is solid. She’s regretting not putting a GPS on Bang Haeun.
That’s… a pretty good idea, but now isn’t the time to discuss location tracking. Because our Juwan is smiling weakly with a seriously dark expression.
“I’m just… thinking about a lot of things. I thought it was just a scratch, but for her life to be in danger….”
Bang Haeun was fine at the library. She had slight scratches on her skin and was unconscious, but there was no threat to her life.
Things became strange right after meeting the mad scientist unnie.
‘She deliberately created symptoms to steal the mastermind’s blood! Bang Haeun is fine!’
I want to tell them, but the price of truth is my liver.
I could give up my liver or gallbladder for my babies’ sake, but let’s try resolving this through conversation first.
“Juwan, it’s not our fault.”
“But we noticed something strange….”
“We never imagined she’d pull something like this.”
“That’s true, but I also feel like we drove Bang Haeun to the edge, haa….”
Honestly, our Juwan’s problem is his excessive sense of responsibility. I should have a deeper conversation after returning to the dorm… but an unexpected situation occurred.
“How about stopping by my room?”
Gyeon Junhwi placed his hand on Yeom Juwan’s shoulder and made this suggestion.
“You must have a lot on your mind—I can at least listen.”
“It’s fine, it’s late too.”
“I don’t mind. If it gets too late, you can just sleep over.”
“……”
“I have a separate sofa in the room.”
“Ah, then should I? After taking Sora back….”
What, right now?
A sleepover between Gyeon Junhwi and Yeom Juwan?
This suddenly without warning?
“S-Sora, sleep in my room too! Th-then Yeom Juwan doesn’t need to take you back!”
“Right, you’ll have other thoughts if you’re alone. Just sleep together.”
“I-I’ll show you the fairy house too!”
In the midst of confusion, it was concluded that the three girls would also have a sleepover in Boram’s room. Junhwi welcomed the news.
“Perfect. Let’s talk in the morning.”
Meaning he’ll organize mastermind-related content and brief us in the morning.
But that’s not what’s important right now.
‘A sleepover between Junhwi and Juwan???’
They hang out together every day, but the two aren’t yet at the stage of sharing a bed. That hesitation just now was proof!
But it’s a king-size bed, so why hesitate? No, no, that’s not what’s important… Junhwi’s going to comfort Juwan, right? No, no, more than that—a monumental first sleepover? Is this a relationship turning point?
Can’t miss it!!!
* * *
I’d love to run to my room right now, but today it was decided I’d sleep in Boram’s room. I yawned constantly throughout walking down the corridor.
“Sleepy…. Ugh, I want to just collapse….”
A signal that I’d head straight to bed after entering, feet washed.
My skill can only view in real-time. If I move even slightly sluggishly, I’ll miss key scenes.
But our Boram looked up at me with teary eyes.
“I-is watching the f-fairy house… t-too hard?”
While I’d been shut up in the editing room, Boram had been working on an architecture project. Since the fairy’s size was bigger than expected, she’d decided to build new housing, and that house was completed today.
If I don’t watch this before sleeping, my baby’s feelings will be hurt.
“Of course I have to watch!”
“Y-yeah! L-look forward to it!”
The fairy house exceeded imagination.
First, it’s large enough to occupy half the dorm room. The exterior looks like an ultra-luxurious mansion some Hollywood actor would live in.
The floor is marble, each piece of furniture meticulously crafted, and it even comes with a magazine-visual dressing room.
“I-it’s incredible.”
“Hehe, th-this bathtub actually works! I c-carved magic formulas so w-water runs and c-connected it to the drain so w-water drains!”
“You did that? Isn’t that second-year level formula work?”
“A-a sunbae taught me!”
“Amazing.”
Even Seong Hayul’s jaw dropped in admiration. Meanwhile, the homeowner was leaning against a marble pillar grumbling.
“If you’re done looking, get out! I was sleeping!”
The fairy is currently wearing jeans and a crop top. She recently cut her hair short too.
Lately she’s been roaming the academy campus sucking up tree energy, and maybe because of that, her complexion has improved a lot.
“You were sleeping? You sleep in jeans?”
“Am I crazy? I have pajamas, you know?”
“Then you changed?”
“W-well, I had no choice! B-because guests came!”
“Just say you like it if you like it. Isn’t pretending otherwise tiring?”
I thought about what I said, but the fairy fluttered her wings and flew up flippantly.
“I-I don’t like it! It’s just interesting! I’m not a being who’s captivated by such worldly things!”
“Oh, is that so?”
“You… what did you do to me? I’ve been like this ever since you woke me up!”
“What did I even do?”
“Then how did you know about me!!!”
The fairy tries to interrogate me whenever she sees me, but I just have to ignore this.
Junhwi told me not to give her any information yet.
“More importantly, fairy! Come with us tomorrow too.”
“Where?”
“We’re going to see the person who made the gauntlet.”
Gotta check if mastermind detection works.
“But aren’t you being too demanding? Making me steal things, return things, making me do nonsense!”
“Don’t play the volunteer cosplay game. You got a marble house for doing that one thing, right?”
“This is…!”
“Geez, it’s chaotic! Both of you stop! Wash up and sleep! It’s already 4 AM!”
Seong Hayul’s words snapped me to my senses. The moment I checked the time, all the blood seemed to drain from my face.
I’d meant to watch for just 5 minutes… but over 30 minutes had already passed.
I headed straight to the bathroom, washed roughly, and lay on the bed without even properly wiping the water from my face.
“I’m sleeping, okay? Don’t wake me!”

Dormitory room.
Gyeon Junhwi placed his hand on Yeom Juwan’s shoulder and smiled gently.
“Feel a bit better now?”
“Thanks, I just get lost in thought sometimes.”
“Sometimes?”
“Haha….”
Anyone can see it’s a closing conversation.
‘I’m late!!!!’
While I wailed internally, Gyeon Junhwi nodded with a smile.
“Make yourself comfortable. I’ll be on the sofa, so call me if you think of anything else.”
“Okay.”
Gyeon Junhwi buried himself in the sofa and began skimming documents. Meanwhile, Yeom Juwan pulled out a smart pad from his inventory and began watching videos.
Videos of young Yeom Juwan and Yeon Sora. Juwan’s been taking this out every night lately.
‘He’s doing that again?’
He repeats the short video multiple times, watching like he’s studying.
Those aren’t the eyes of someone summoning memories.
They’re a detective’s eyes searching for evidence.
I nearly jumped out of my skin wondering if he’d noticed fake Sora was an imposter, but his attitude toward me remains warm as ever.
— Grrr… Ah, crazy. So cute!
Juwan must have pressed something wrong, because Yeon Sora’s father’s groaning voice echoed. Hearing that sound, Gyeon Junhwi approached with a smile.
“Cute. How old is she?”
“Five.”
“Can I watch too?”
Juwan nodded and played the video.
Kindergarten field trip footage.
People crowd around baby Yeon Sora who looks like a doll. Yeon Sora squirms, disliking it.
Looking around, Yeon Sora heads somewhere. She toddles toward a pretty boy with orange hair, Yeom Juwan, and grabs his clothes.
Yeom Juwan slaps that hand away and glares with wild eyes telling her not to come, but Yeon Sora keeps some distance while following him around.
Then Yeon Sora tumbles down, and Yeom Juwan irritably but firmly lifts her up and dusts her off. He growls at her not to follow again, but Yeon Sora chases and falls again.
Eventually, Yeom Juwan sits on a bench and seats Yeon Sora beside him. To prevent Yeon Sora from falling anymore. Yeon Sora’s father filming this keeps spewing moans like “grrraaa” throughout.
And the video ended.
“Haha, you’re both so different from now, right? Especially Yeon Sora is unbelievably….”
Junhwi’s eyes looking at baby Yeon Sora are full of regret. He’s definitely thinking how such a gentle child became that wild filly.
Yeom Juwan hesitated for a moment, then opened his mouth.
“In your opinion… why do you think Yeon Sora followed me around?”
“Because you took good care of her, right?”
“This was our first meeting.”
“You must have seen each other before.”
“No, this was the first time. Someone… catching me was the first time, so I remember clearly.”
“……”
Gyeon Junhwi also rested his chin and fell into thought. After silence flowed a bit longer, Yeom Juwan opened his mouth again.
“Boogeymen—do they really show fears?”
“According to textbooks, right?”
“Do they only show fears I’ve directly seen and experienced?”
“Why’s that?”
Gyeon Junhwi’s expression changed subtly. This topic is clearly uncomfortable. Because the Boogeyman showed Junhwi’s past life.
“Should I look into it?”
Fortunately, Yeom Juwan shook his head and smiled faintly.
“No, it’s fine. I’m going to sleep now.”
“Use the bed.”
“You’re the homeowner though.”
“I’m going to finish reading this before sleeping. The sofa’s more comfortable.”
“Okay, then….”
Juwan went to the bed and lay down, and in the quiet room, only the sound of Gyeon Junhwi turning pages could be heard.
【Viewing period expired, ending viewing.】

Returned to Boram’s room.
I missed the scene I wanted, but obtained new information.
The moment Yeon Sora first saw Yeom Juwan, she immediately ran toward him. To my eyes too, it seemed she recognized Yeom Juwan from the start and approached.
Yeom Juwan seems to be thinking ‘why me of all people?’ I also don’t think this was coincidence.
But thinking more doesn’t really produce any particular answer.
‘Should I watch again?’
Then I’d just see Gyeon Junhwi reading documents.
My baby lying on the sofa is quite worth watching, but—
‘Watching this crosses the line.’
Viewing my babies’ key scenes versus watching Junhwi lying alluringly on the sofa are different things.
Four top buttons clocked out making the shirt loose and showing collarbone, or just casually lying down but creating bewitching angles, or my baby is perfect down to every finger, or why wasn’t I born as paper so I could feel those touches—the skill wasn’t given for gushing like that.
Right, doing that makes me a sasaeng.
I decided to quickly sleep before succumbing to criminal temptation.
* * *
If Yeon Sora had watched just a bit longer, she would have seen a different scene.
“Haa….”
Gyeon Junhwi turned the stack of documents and sighed. Even looking at pages he’d already seen, the letters still wouldn’t enter his eyes.
What he was currently looking at was Hwarang Guild’s materials. He needed to check information on personnel affiliated with the guild, departments where personnel were assigned, the guild’s main business, fund flow, and so on.
‘I need to read this before morning.’
In a few hours, the mastermind and Yeon Sora would meet.
A kind of peace conference. They’d smile and exchange gentlemanly conversation in front of each other, but turn around and prepare for war.
If he grasped information like what weapons the enemy purchased and where they assigned key personnel, he could predict their operations. Grasping it in advance meant he could also set traps.
Important work, yet his gaze unconsciously kept glancing at the clock.
‘Contacting now isn’t right, is it?’
Sending a message at 5 AM would be rude.
But… he couldn’t hold back.
|Gyeon Junhwi| You up by chance?
|Go Daesik| Nah
|Go Daesik| How could I sleep
Go Daesik was a Boogeyman farm victim with language-related abilities.
While searching for Tower Goddess materials, Gyeon Junhwi had requested Go Daesik’s help just in case, and in that process obtained unexpected information.
— This story, isn’t it that thing written on the 1st floor?
The 1st floor temple where Gyeon Junhwi obtained an item and Yeon Sora picked up a strange orb. Inside was a room full of hieroglyphics.
A language that disappeared long ago that no one could read, but Go Daesik could interpret it.
— Something about searching for a lost god… I only saw it briefly so I don’t remember well.
A clue about the Tower Goddess.
Gyeon Junhwi obtained photos of the 1st floor temple with difficulty and requested Go Daesik to interpret them.
Seeing the god’s cherished child building a tower, another god disrupted the language.
The hieroglyphics recorded the Tower of Babel myth.
Up to here was ordinary.
But a few days ago, change arrived. As Go Daesik’s proficiency increased, he began reading the multiple meanings embedded in words.
The above sentence could be reinterpreted as follows:
(Creator, creation, god, beginning) (cherish, revere, protect) (human, offspring, child, hope, creation) (tower, building, hope, future, history, creation) (build, stack, connect) seeing the appearance, (destruction, collapse, god, envy, sibling) (language, letters, records, writing, system, knowledge, customs) (divide, distinguish, differentiate, develop).
There was so much information it made him dizzy.
The Tower Goddess is the creator god, the god the masterminds are trying to summon is the destruction god. The two gods conflicted over humans, and the Tower was the backdrop for that conflict.
|Go Daesik| Got a new translation, wanna see?
|Go Daesik| Still a simplified version though
In just a few hours, Yeon Sora would meet the masterminds. Now he should invest time in that direction.
His head understood, but… his body acted in the exact opposite way.
|Gyeon Junhwi| Can you come to the 2nd floor lounge now?
|Go Daesik| Ok
