As one of the twins leaned in, whispering sweetly, Grayson let out a short laugh. When everyone else looked puzzled at his uncharacteristically good mood, Grayson brought his glass to his lips and said,

“If someone told me my soulmate was there, I wouldn’t hesitate to do it.”

At those words, one of them looked deflated, and the other laughed as if it were absurd. But their greatest strength was that no matter the situation, they could always snap back to reality.

“Grayson, you really are a romantic.”

As one of them quickly flattered him with sweet words, the other jumped in, as if he had been waiting for the chance.

“To believe that destiny exists and to do your best to find it—it’s truly admirable. In that spirit, why don’t we go release some pheromones?”

The most efficient way for an extreme Alpha to release pheromones is sex. Of course, Grayson had absolutely no qualms about using that method, and he used it often. He was always hunting for his “soulmate,” and because there was never a shortage of “partners,” it was incredibly easy and simple to relieve his pent-up pheromones.

Knowing this well, the intent of these men was obvious. One fondled his sex, while the other stroked his crotch, leaning against him and looking up at Grayson with excited faces. As if they couldn’t wait to take that inside their bodies.

“Oh, um… but, if you do find that person, doesn’t that mean you won’t do this kind of thing with us anymore?”

The man, who had been leaning in as if he would put Grayson’s sex in his mouth at any moment, paused as if he had suddenly realized something. As his sex toys sitting on either side of him looked up at him in anxiety, Grayson chuckled and said,

“What kind of nonsense are you babbling about? Sex and love are two separate things.”

Besides, this was merely an act to release pheromones. For his own survival.

There were many Alphas who had relations with several Omegas at once. Others called Grayson particularly promiscuous among the extreme Alphas, but from Grayson’s perspective, that was somewhat unfair.

He had simply gone through several partners in order to find his destiny. Once he realized it was an illusion, he quickly ended the relationship and moved on to the next partner immediately—to be called promiscuous for that? Even an extreme Alpha is human after all. Isn’t trial and error something that can happen to anyone?

However, releasing pheromones is a different story. It’s an unavoidable act based on one’s genetic traits, or perhaps you could call it the equivalent of getting a vaccine to prevent an illness.

The men sitting on either side of Grayson knew his line of thinking well. They also knew perfectly well what a trashy mindset that was, but they didn’t bother to say it out loud. In any case, their goal was sex, and if Grayson continued to live such a debauched life, it was actually a good thing for them.

“Then, it’s fine, right? Since that person isn’t here right now.”

“Let’s release pheromones—with us.”

The men each chimed in from either side and clung to Grayson’s body. They were in the mood to willingly accept any demand Grayson made if it was for the sake of this night. If he had said, ‘Get naked and crawl after me like a dog on all fours,’ they would have stripped off their clothes right there without hesitation. There is no shame. Their minds were filled only with the pleasure Grayson would give them later. They knew all too well how debauched he was in bed because they had already experienced it.

Give it to me, hurry.

In their desperate craving, their pheromones began to leak. Their minds were occupied solely by the thought of taking this man’s terrifyingly large sex right now. Grayson smiled as he looked down at the twins, who were rubbing their flushed bodies against him. Even until he finished his remaining drink, they believed—that after he put the glass down, he would use those hands to pull them by the waist.

The pheromone scent that always faintly lingered around Grayson became exceptionally thick. Having inhaled that scent deeply, the twins’ eyes soon lost focus and grew hazy. Grayson kissed them in turns. As he swirled his tongue against theirs and mixed their saliva, sweet pheromones spread from deep within his mouth. The twins felt a tingle in their bellies and were so excited that they looked ready to strip off their clothes right there and then, when Grayson whispered softly,

“Sorry, but I have to go now.”

“Uh…?”

At first, they didn’t understand what they had just heard. To the twins, who were only blinking their dazed eyes, Grayson added with a bright face,

“Alex hates sleeping alone.”

“Alex?”

“You mean that dog you keep? The Rottweiler?”

As if they had barely grasped the situation, the twins asked in turns. They struggled to maintain their consciousness as it faded from the pheromones, but Grayson stood up readily without a care.

“W-wait, wait, Grayson!”

One of the twins, who had barely managed to grab the man who was about to leave his seat, shouted urgently.

“Where are you going? Weren’t you going to sleep with us?”

Even in their feverish state, a desperate voice came out. The other twin was looking up at Grayson with his whole body trembling, wearing an expression as if he were about to cry. Watching their pitiful faces, Grayson didn’t show even a shred of pity, but rather laughed as he furrowed his eyebrows in disbelief.

“Me? Why?”

Looking down at the pale twins, Grayson added in a genuinely affectionate tone,

“I don’t sleep with someone I’ve already slept with once.”

“Grayson!”

“Grayson Miller! No, don’t go! Please!”

“Stop right there! You son of a bitch, I’m going to kill you…!”

A scream bordering on a howl echoed from behind, but he walked away without even looking back. The abandoned twins, suffering due to the pheromones he had sprayed, writhed and sobbed in agony, but there was nothing they could do.

To go out of his way to spray pheromones when he had no intention of sleeping with them—he must have done it purely for his own simple amusement. Watching the twins leave the hall as if being carried by the waiters, the bartenders thought: what a truly cruel man without a shred of consideration.

Meanwhile, as soon as the twins were helped out of the hall by the staff, their attitudes changed completely.

“Let go, let go of me!”

The twins shouted as they shook off the staff. As the surprised staff stumbled back and let go, they glared at one spot with eyes bloodshot from a mix of excitement and fury, then moved their bodies urgently. Watching the two stagger as they ran in the direction Grayson had disappeared, the staff could only look at each other in confusion.

That very Grayson Miller was actually humming a tune as he walked down the hallway. With a cynical thought: Omegas, honestly. He felt like laughing when he saw how they would immediately go into heat just by having a little bit of his pheromones dripped on them. Watching them weep and beg to be impaled was quite a fun pastime, but he had no intention of spending any more time with them. The twins weren’t his destiny, and even if they were just partners to release pheromones with, sleeping again with someone he had already slept with once was a waste of time. It had only been two days since he last released his pheromones, so there was no need to go through the trouble for nothing.

Even so, the reason he had gone to the pheromone party at all was the expectation that he might meet his destiny there. As expected, it had been a failure again, though.

‘Fire,’ huh.

Grayson subconsciously furrowed his brow. He had dismissed the fortune-teller’s words as nothing but nonsense, but he couldn’t help but be bothered by it.

“Tsk.”

The humming stopped as he clicked his tongue. A terrible sense of ennui suddenly washed over him. He had spent almost his entire life hunting for his damn ‘destiny.’ Relying only on those words from back then:

—Someone like that will definitely appear for you, too.

The words spoken by the Omega who gave birth to him now felt like a curse, binding him. While Grayson, who had been hunting so desperately, was all alone, those who had mocked him had ironically found their ‘destiny.’

Doesn’t such a thing exist for me?

Hah. With a short sigh, he stuffed both hands into his pants pockets. It was then. Suddenly, along with the sound of footsteps rapidly approaching from behind, he felt an ominous chill.

“What the….”

The moment he turned his head reflexively, something hit him hard on the head. Grayson, who experienced for the first time in his life the sensation of his own head making such a massive sound, felt the dull impact only a moment too late.
