Wedding Ending Chapter 33

Min Jaeyoon gratefully received the water seeping between his lips. Soon after, he lifted his heavy eyelids and corrected his blurry vision.

Just as the waving silhouette seemed to gradually become clearer, Kang Seunghyun, who had approached right in front of his nose, overlapped their lips. Min Jaeyoon’s Adam’s apple throbbed. He swallowed the water that had seeped into his mouth. The cold tip of his tongue leisurely licked the tender mucous membrane and left.

“Want more?”

“I’m fine—”

Min Jaeyoon pushed him away and turned his head. It had gotten even darker outside the window. As if following Min Jaeyoon’s gaze, Kang Seunghyun looked at the same spot and spoke.

“We only did it for two hours.”

“Ha….”

After saying 45 minutes, he dragged out the time as much as he wanted.

“Where is Secretary Song?”

“He left. Is it because he’s a useful person? His quick-wittedness has grown quite a bit.”

Rising from the bed, Kang Seunghyun downed a bottle of mineral water. With wet hair as if he had just finished showering, he was wearing only pants. Throwing the emptied bottle into the trash can, he walked out the door.

Min Jaeyoon didn’t even have the strength to wiggle a single fingertip. It felt like he was utterly exhausted. Still, he couldn’t fall asleep like this. His whole body felt limp, so he wanted to wash. Effortlessly dragging himself up, the torn shirt blatantly drooping on the duvet came into his view.

“There was no need to tear it. It’s a shirt I cherish….”

Min Jaeyoon fiddled with the clothes and raised his head. Kang Seunghyun came in carrying a paper bag in his hand.

“What’s that?”

“Dinner, Song left it in the living room. Since he got fed like that, I guess he’s returning the favor. Sit down.”

Min Jaeyoon, who was about to stand up, stuck his butt back onto the bed. He covered his waist with the torn shirt.

“We’re going to eat here? You don’t eat food in your room….”

“It’s not like I’m going to sleep here anyway, so it doesn’t matter.”

This place was originally Kang Seunghyun’s room. The two used separate rooms. Of course, because that was more comfortable, Min Jaeyoon didn’t express any complaints.

“You’re sleeping in my room again?”

“Between a married couple, what’s with ‘your room, my room’? Here, take it.”

Kang Seunghyun shoved a paper box he pulled out from the bag. Richly scented curry was poured over thinly spread rice. Another box contained steak. Although it had cooled down cold, Min Jaeyoon swallowed his saliva. Generously chopped vegetables, meat—it was food he liked.

“Wait.”

Min Jaeyoon crumpled around his eyes. Was it an illusion? He felt like he was being treated like an animal. Min Jaeyoon clutched the plastic spoon.

“Why? I’m hungry….”

Min Jaeyoon whined and raised his head. As if waiting for this moment, Kang Seunghyun promptly kissed him. Inserting his tongue into Min Jaeyoon’s open mouth, he intertwined with the lump of flesh and lightly sucked it.

“I can smell the scent all the way here, so if you eat this, I feel like I won’t want to kiss you.”

Min Jaeyoon scooped up rice with the spoon as if giving up on refuting anything. His lips moved busily chewing. The salty, sweet taste rapidly lifted Min Jaeyoon’s mood. Min Jaeyoon savored one more spoonful. He glanced over Kang Seunghyun.

Kang Seunghyun was a person sensitive to scents. If there was even a slightly strange smell, he wouldn’t even put food in his mouth. That’s why there was no decoration on top of the steak meant for Kang Seunghyun. He poked a piece of meat with a fork and put it in his mouth.

‘If he eats this, does he not want to kiss?’

Watching that sight, a random thought brushed past Min Jaeyoon’s mind. If I eat this every day, will Kang Seunghyun try to distance himself from me? No matter how much of a patient he is, really. He was obsessing far too excessively. Even his younger brother Seonoh wasn’t to this extent.

However, Min Jaeyoon’s impure thought came to an end that night. After finishing his shower and before going to sleep, Kang Seunghyun kissed Min Jaeyoon on the lips.

When the resigned Min Jaeyoon tried to rest on a pillow, Kang Seunghyun shoved it away with his fist. With a bewildered face, Min Jaeyoon looked down at the pillow rolling under the bed.

“I couldn’t sleep properly yesterday either.”

Isn’t that why you took a nap during the day? If you hadn’t done that, I wouldn’t have owed 45 minutes and reached this state.

Just whose fault is all of this happening because of…!

Min Jaeyoon couldn’t bring himself to spit out the rest of the words and only shouted internally. The fault in this matter lay with him as well. Because in the first place, the reason Kang Seunghyun lost his memory was because of him.

“Get used to it.”

Wearing nothing at all, Kang Seunghyun lay on the bed and stretched out his long arm. He motioned with his head. It looked like he was telling him to lie down.

“Ha….”

A hot rage boiled up from deep within his lower abdomen. Awkwardly resting his head on his arm, Min Jaeyoon adjusted his neck here and there.

Turning his back to Kang Seunghyun, Min Jaeyoon closed his eyes while lying on his side. Right then, beneath the pillow he was holding, a cold hand suddenly dug in without warning. Kang Seunghyun proudly grabbed his chest. Min Jaeyoon subtly tried to strike it away with the edge of his hand, but it was an absurd attempt.

In the end, Min Jaeyoon tried to grab his wrist and tear it away. Kang Seunghyun gave a short reprimand.

“Isn’t it good for you too if I regain my memory?”

Kang Seunghyun’s voice vibrated through his spine. The nape of his neck touched by his breath tickled.

“That’s… true… but… I’m telling you, you weren’t someone who slept like this….”

Min Jaeyoon let go of the wrist he was holding. He didn’t even have the energy to fight.

‘Haa, it’s tough….’

Because of the pillow that didn’t even fit him, Min Jaeyoon tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep. If he regained his memory, would they be able to return to their original life? Would everything be resolved? He couldn’t be certain, but he thought that if he first regained his memory, the obsession might cool down, and he might at least be able to try something.

Resting his head on Kang Seunghyun’s hard arm, Min Jaeyoon squeezed his eyes shut. He only hoped that he would regain his memory as quickly as possible.

💍

The New Year dawned.

Min Jaeyoon busily moved around the living room. Secretary Song in the study was the same. The only person in this house who was nonchalant as if it were someone else’s business was Kang Seunghyun.

“Come quickly.”

“It’s not even late, why are you making a fuss already?”

Led by Min Jaeyoon’s hand, he entered the dressing room.

On one wall hung suits suited for the season. On the opposite side were formal clothes that could be worn during daily activities. Kang Seunghyun always preferred stiff, formal attire. In the display case placed in the center, neckties, watches, belts, and cuffs were provided by type.

“Try wearing this.”

Min Jaeyoon handed him the black suit he used to enjoy wearing.

Putting on the suit pants that wrapped around his long legs and fell neatly, the dress shirt, necktie, vest, and outer jacket, it felt like seeing the Kang Seunghyun he used to face in the past.

“Managing Director Kang….”

Secretary Song wiped the corners of his eyes. It was because he felt an indescribable surge of emotion in his chest. However, Kang Seunghyun answered without even giving him a glance.

“Song, don’t make a scene.”

“Yes. Managing Director.”

Now he seemed quite accustomed to Kang Seunghyun’s way of speaking as well. Min Jaeyoon stared at Kang Seunghyun, who was looking into the display case.

He fastened the cuffs on his wrist. Min Jaeyoon’s eyes widened roundly. Kang Seunghyun picked up a watch and put it on his right wrist. Even if he couldn’t remember, habits were truly scary things.

“Why?”

Sensing the gaze, Kang Seunghyun looked over. Min Jaeyoon shook his head side to side.

“It’s nothing.”

He felt like he understood a little of what Secretary Song was feeling just a moment ago. Smiling, Min Jaeyoon gestured with his hand to step back.

“Step outside.”

“Why?”

“Then, are you saying you’re going to watch me take off my clothes?”

Min Jaeyoon raised his eyes as if looking serious.

“We’re people who have seen worse….”

Without finishing his sentence, Kang Seunghyun turned around. Secretary Song promptly walked back out the way he came. Following right after, Kang Seunghyun was ousted as well.

Closing the door, Min Jaeyoon took off his clothes. He chose a cream-colored suit. Tying a necktie around his neck, he stared into the mirror. Faint marks on his neck came into view. They were left by Kang Seunghyun.

Min Jaeyoon opened the accessory drawer. Pulling out a scarf, he tied it around his neck. Turning his body around, he moved his steps.

When the door swung wide open, Kang Seunghyun, leaning his back against the wall with an indifferent expression as if bored of waiting, turned his head. Secretary Song had said he would go out ahead of time and prepare the car. Smiling, Min Jaeyoon stepped up to his side. He grabbed Kang Seunghyun’s arm.

“You definitely promised me.”

“I did. That after we come back, we’re going to the pool to have sex.”

Min Jaeyoon almost bit his tongue. He had never made such a promise. Soon, he tried hard not to get swept away.

“Did you forget already? You decided not to speak carelessly.”

“Got it.”

“Let’s go quickly. Secretary Song will be waiting.”
