Rabbit Hole Chapter 28
Geumseo had spoken honestly, but Go San didn’t take it at face value.
“What are you embarrassed about. Be honest. Don’t play coy.”
When he had already spoken honestly, how could he speak more honestly than that…? It was an unreasonable demand, as if being naked wasn’t enough and he was being told to show his internal organs too. As he looked up with a dumbfounded expression, Go San pressed down firmly on Geumseo’s head.
“You said you were cold.”
He giggled as he swept Geumseo’s back. His hand was no ordinary size. Soon his body became warm. He thought that would do it, and it did. Geumseo, whose tension had melted away on its own, let out a sound like an ailing moan. Go San felt the frame and muscles wrapped around his body grow distinctly pliant.
‘I was going to hold back, but I can’t, fuck.’
Go San’s hand slowly slipped inside the towel wrapped around Geumseo’s waist.
“Mm.”
Geumseo frowned and tried to pull his body away. It was a useless act. Go San squeezed Geumseo’s soft buttocks and then, without realizing it, let slip.
“Should I suck you.”
“Huh?”
Geumseo asked back. It didn’t seem like a joke. Go San’s expression was serious. No, he looked starved. Geumseo shook his head quickly.
“No. Forget it.”
“Why?”
“Because I don’t want it… I don’t need it.”
Does this one not have much of a libido. If he said he didn’t want it, there was nothing to be done, but Go San smacked his lips. Maybe because his skin was savory, even there looked worth sucking.
However, contrary to Go San’s desires, Geumseo was already nodding off. Sitting half-naked, practically nearly nude, on someone else’s thigh and falling asleep was so like Yang Geumseo.
“I’m fine with doing it with someone who’s asleep, Yang Geumseo.”
As expected, Geumseo gave no answer.
Go San clicked his tongue once and scooped up Geumseo’s bottom. With an ‘up we go,’ he stood and headed for the bedroom. The towel covering him fell down below. Go San kicked the cumbersome towel away with his foot.
When he laid him on the bed, Geumseo, who had been dozing, briefly woke. Go San, who had ended up mounted on top of him while laying him down, grinned.
“You always wake up once the hard part is over.”
There was no way. If that were the case, he would have to be asleep every time he did it with Go San. Geumseo looked up at Go San with a puzzled expression. Whatever Go San was thinking to himself, his eyes grew damp. Like a swimming pool smelling of disinfectant.
“You crying like crazy the first time I screwed you was really cute.”
“…I don’t remember.”
“You remember pissing yourself, though.”
“That’s exactly why I want to never remember, ever.”
“Suit yourself. I don’t care.”
Go San rolled over to the side. Laying his arm, heavy as raw tuna, over Geumseo’s body, he kept laughing. What was making him so happy? Go San had clearly seemed tired and in a pretty bad mood when they’d just gotten out of the taxi, and Geumseo wasn’t pleased about him suddenly changing like this. It was a little scary.
“Then I’m the only one in the world who remembers that night.”
To think he’d go so far as to keep score of that. Geumseo shut his eyes tight again. Go San abruptly pulled the stark-naked Geumseo into his arms and dragged the blanket over them.
“You really don’t have anyone bothering you?”
“…No. If I did, would you scold them for me?”
“Yeah.”
“Why would you?”
This he was genuinely curious about, so he couldn’t pretend to be asleep. Geumseo turned his head and asked. Looking at Geumseo’s face illuminated by the dim mood light, Go San thought he wanted to take a proper bite and eat him up. This bastard was well past the age of growing up, yet there was downy fuzz on his cheeks. It was unbelievable.
“You’re mine, aren’t you.”
“Ugh.”
“Ugh?”
“Why am I yours.”
Geumseo got goosebumps, as it sounded like something a cheesy couple would say. But Go San, finding this conversation amusing, held Geumseo tight and got glossy, crazy-looking eyes.
“We just haven’t written up the contract, but we’re in a contractual relationship.”
“…”
“Ha… Maybe if I just engrave my name right into Yang Geumseo’s body, it would be a bit more satisfying.”
“You really are strange…”
“Me? You’re the strange one.”
Go San tangled his legs with Geumseo’s. Thinking that engraving his name might actually be fairly decent.
He had been insanely tired, but the moment the name talk came up, sleep fled completely. His body was still exhausted, but sleep wouldn’t come. Geumseo blinked blankly. Signatures he’d had to sign without even being able to read them properly flashed across the dark ceiling. This is your father’s signature, this is your name, right? Check it, and sign. Here, here, here. The thick voices of the loan shark Misters also came to mind.
Then at the end, he shuddered at the clear name Go San, written somewhere on his flesh, though he didn’t know where.
“…If you’re cold, hug me more.”
Go San murmured, pulling Geumseo closer. Telling him to hug with his words, but with his body, he was the one pulling and hugging. It seemed he figured Geumseo was sensitive to the cold. Right, it must be the cold. Geumseo decided to regard it that way too. He shifted his body and hugged Go San. It was a body so solid his arms could barely reach around it. It felt like hugging marble. There was no way hugging stone could make you warm, but he grew warm. Marble must be a stone that holds warmth. Geumseo fell asleep firmly believing that what he was hugging was not Go San but marble.

When he woke in the morning, Go San was gone. He thought he’d half-heard him say he was going to exercise in his sleep, or maybe he hadn’t. It seemed he really was training hard these days.
Coming out to the living room, he discovered a sandwich placed neatly on the large table. It was probably left for him to eat. Just as he had woken up, naked, he shuffled out and nibbled the sandwich. He wanted to drink some coffee mix, but there was no way Go San’s house would have such a thing. Whatever else, Go San did control his sugar intake. After rummaging, Geumseo took out a coffee capsule and made himself one as he pleased. With such a huge debt anyway, adding the cost of one coffee capsule wouldn’t even show.
“Ah… bitter.”
With a deeply grimacing face, he pushed the cup far away, then pulled it back. The sandwich was delicious, but his throat was clogged. Not knowing he could just add water, he ended up drinking all of the coffee brewed as espresso. Doing the dishes in the empty house, Geumseo found the water sound echoing strangely fascinating and zoned out for a moment with the water left running.
Strangely enough, it was peaceful. If this was peace, then it was peace.

After lazing around Go San’s house naked, he took his clothes out of the dryer and put them on. He thought they’d smell musty from being in the washing machine all night, but they were only fragrant. What kind of detergent did he use? It was definitely not one of the detergents commonly seen at the mart. With the commute distance drastically reduced compared to from his rented room, the day felt much more leisurely. Geumseo was only able to recall Heo Sangmuk once he arrived at the employee break room.
It was thanks to the complaints of the employee who had been in charge of serving together with Geumseo.
“It was fucking crazy busy yesterday.”
“Seriously, fuck, why did the boss reduce the servers?”
“Since there were some mistakes yesterday, he’ll probably put it back the way it was today.”
Another employee replied indifferently. It was the guy who supposedly received room and board here. His hair was slightly still damp, as if he hadn’t washed long ago. He smelled of cucumber soap.
“The boss is a fucking cheapskate. He makes that much money and still wants to act like that.”
“What do you expect. Have you used the shower room here? They have cucumber soap.”
As expected. Geumseo smiled to himself, proud of having identified the soap just by the smell.
“Who besides you uses the shower room here. Maybe a guy who did a second round in a room.”
“Guess you’ll never get to use it, huh?”
“Get lost. I’m already going crazy from the old ladies touching my butt.”
Old ladies? In all the time Geumseo had worked, he could count on one hand the number of times he’d encountered female customers. Whether it was good luck or bad luck, every place he ended up in was mostly men. Like Heo Sangmuk’s group. And though he had never experienced it, he was certain that male customers were worse than female customers.
“Hey. Youngest. How was it for you?”
He realized late, very late, that the ‘Youngest’ was calling him. Geumseo adjusted the silly bow tie as he let out an ‘mm…’ and groaned.
“It was just whatever.”
Indeed, even thinking about it now, a day later, with the tiredness gone, it was just whatever. Like the delicate balance of a seesaw, Heo Sangmuk and Haeju hyung hovered between distress and normalcy.
“Youngest, I heard you rake in the tips pretty good. Word got around. If you’re raking it in like that, you little shit, you should treat your sunbaes to something now and then. This bastard doesn’t know how to get along in society.”
