5 I’m hearing this for the first time too;; Stuff like this is all superstition—then would there be separate beta meat and omega meat?????

⤷ I want to eat boneless chicken

19 Originally, omegas with alpha lines have reddish eyes and some kind of mysterious sex appeal? Apparently their pheromones also carry a peculiar scent optimized for alphas. They say there’s a strangely bewitching quality about them.. Even if they’re not necessarily pretty, alphas never stop hovering around omegas with alpha lines

⤷ I’m honestly jealous, , , , ,just give me one guy’s worth..

⤷ Starting today I’m painting around my eyes red

⤷ My eyes are bloodshot every day, so why don’t I have a single guy?

A week had passed.

Despite having worried over hearing nonsense about alpha lines and whatnot out on the street, Lee Yuseong’s week turned out to be more peaceful than the previous one.

Even though there were three alphas at work, thanks to the fame Harley Guy had brought in, the shop was constantly busy with customers, leaving almost no time for small talk. Lee Yuseong could just sit comfortably at the register and do his duty.

His foot had improved, making it easier to commute to and from the lecture halls. He’d also gotten completely used to the work, and the desserts, coffee, and food that dropped in as leftover treats right before Momentto’s evening service hours were all delicious, which boosted his life satisfaction.

‘A perfect week.’

Brrrring. Except for Choi Jigu and Harley-Gally.

“Lee Yuseong. Good morning?”

Seeing Choi Jigu sitting on his bike waiting for him today as always, a sigh escaped him naturally. A flashy, expensive bike parked in a spot bathed in warm spring sunlight, and a ridiculously fresh-looking handsome man… Honestly, it was overwhelming.

“…I can take public transit and walk on my own now, you know?”

Harley-Gally was the nickname Lee Yuseong had given Choi Jigu’s bike. He couldn’t remember exactly what Harley something it was, so he’d decided to just call it Harley-Gally. He should be grateful I even gave it four syllables instead of just Gally.

“You haven’t completed the full two weeks yet.”

“Are you counting the days?”

“You got hurt Wednesday night the week before last, so you need to be careful until this Wednesday.”

“Huh.”

Look at that perfect calculation. Lee Yuseong glared at him like a triangular-eyed pufferfish.

“This is why science majors are like this.”

“You’re a science major too, you know?”

Choi Jigu let out a low chuckle. Above his head, the tree branches were swelling with buds. Among them, here and there, a few early-blooming mutants were scattered. Pale pink flowers. Before they bloomed, I hadn’t realized, but now I could see—they must be cherry trees.

It was the season when the weather warmed and the sunlight grew gentle. It was also the time of year that college students loved the most.

Staring at the picture-perfect guy standing there with the flowering tree, Lee Yuseong sighed and obediently took the helmet he handed over and put it on his head.

It wasn’t that his heart had softened because of the weather or the flowers. It was simply that arguing would only tire Lee Yuseong out, so he’d chosen the more cost-effective option.

“Hang on tight.”

“Drive gently.”

Humans are creatures of adaptation, so Lee Yuseong had his own capacity for adjustment.

Now he was used to riding the bike and holding onto Choi Jigu’s waist. The same went for their commutes together and the lectures they were forced to sit through side by side.

Unfortunately, the fact that it was in the center—right under the professor’s line of sight—and that students’ stares kept gathering there was still something he couldn’t get used to, but after some time passed, the curiosity about “the omega next to Harley Guy” died down. Thanks to people who had seen Lee Yuseong walking around campus and at Momentto with bandages on his foot spreading the rumor that “that omega really was injured.”

Anyway, with thick-rimmed glasses, messy hair, and drab clothes as his daily uniform, Lee Yuseong faded into the background like a shadow, as always. And Lee Yuseong was perfectly satisfied with that.

After his last required major lecture, he naturally walked out of the classroom with Choi Jigu.

Somehow, Choi Jigu had become the most comfortable person for Lee Yuseong on this campus. It wasn’t that he felt a sense of security or ease—just that, literally, he was easy to deal with.

He could also see why so many people gathered around Choi Jigu. His personality was refreshing and humorous, he had a considerate side that pretended not to notice while looking after people, he was cheerful in greetings, and unexpectedly, he didn’t overstep into others’ territory. He had a knack for picking up on what was helpful and providing it, while keeping a clear line.

“I’ll buy you a hot dog on the way. The one with potato chunks and cheese inside. How about it?”

On top of that, he bought good food.

“Make it jumbo.”

“Look at you, now making demands outright. Fine, jumbo it is.”

It’s absolutely not that I became more comfortable because he buys good food. Honestly.

The two headed toward the main gate on foot to buy hot dogs. They decided to pick up Harley-Gally, parked in the lot, after Momentto closed. Lee Yuseong was determined to escape without riding Harley-Gally at night no matter what, but since telling him in advance would obviously cause a hassle, he kept it a secret from Choi Jigu.

The two walked slowly along the side path through the campus. Cherry trees lined both sides of the road. Because it caught a lot of sunlight, a relatively large number of flowers had bloomed. They could see several students taking photos.

Looking at the flowers, Lee Yuseong thought:

‘I want popcorn.’

Choi Jigu said,

“I heard our school is a cherry blossom spot. Students from other schools apparently come here on purpose to see them.”

“I see.”

Lee Yuseong responded flatly. Coming all the way from another school just to see cherry blossoms—it was something Lee Yuseong absolutely could not understand.

‘When they’re in full bloom, I definitely shouldn’t take this path. Too many people drains my energy.’

“Let’s take a picture together.”

Stopping abruptly, Choi Jigu pulled Lee Yuseong by the shoulder. Before Lee Yuseong could react at all,

Choi Jigu’s hand took off Lee Yuseong’s glasses. While he was flustered by the blurry vision, Choi Jigu held up his phone in selfie mode. Every movement was as fluid as water.

“Hey, what are you—”

Tap, Choi Jigu rested his head on top of Lee Yuseong’s.

“Cheese.”

Click.

Click.

Click.

Wait, did he just take three in a row?

“Hand heart.”

“Stop it.”

Lee Yuseong pushed Choi Jigu’s head away with both hands.

“Aww.”

Though he whined half-heartedly, Choi Jigu obediently let himself be pushed away. He likes saying “Aww,” huh. Unbelievable.

“Give me my glasses.”

“I don’t want to.”

“What?”

Did I just hear that right?

“I want to see your pretty face a little longer.”

Choi Jigu said, stepping briskly away. He was grinning.

“I said give them to me?”

Lee Yuseong said with a hint of irritation, but Choi Jigu kept stepping away briskly, turning back now and then to tease him. This crazy bastard. I thought he’d been quiet lately.

“Hey, I said give them!”

Lee Yuseong chased after him, nearly running. At that, Choi Jigu started running too.

“Wait, why are you running away?”

“Because you’re chasing me!”

“I’m asking for my glasses!”

“Are you going to scold me if I get caught?”

“What are you saying, you—you crazy bastard!”

Choi Jigu didn’t stop. Even after being cursed at, he just kept laughing happily and darted away, skipping. Lee Yuseong’s blood pressure was spiking. In the end, Lee Yuseong started sprinting with all his might.

Please don’t run recklessly on campus.

It’s dangerous.

Blind to everything around him, Lee Yuseong ended up tripping over a tree root.

‘Huh?’

“Lee Yuseong!”

His body tilted.

Is this how it ends? Somehow I thought my luck had been too good this past week.

I wanted to eat that hot dog. Why can’t I eat it even when someone else is offering to buy?

“Careful.”

But Lee Yuseong didn’t tumble onto the ground. Instead, he fell into someone’s embrace, buried snugly. A slightly sweet yet warm fragrance. A gentle voice.
