I guess this was what humans talk about courtesy.

After thinking about it, Mirania realized that it wasn’t just humans who were like this.

“Mirania?”

Looking at Mirania still, a shadow cast over the Prime Minister.

“Huh?”

The Prime Minister’s eyes widened, “Ugh!”

He screamed and fell, looking up at the roof of the carriage.

Mirania, who saw the Prime Minister falling, thought, ‘Old people are really dull.’

Grecan, who jumped from the carriage, reached out to Mirania blinking innocently.

“Mirania, your hand.”

“What?” (Mirania)

“You should hold my hand, not that old man’s hand.”

Mirania watched the Prime Minister get up behind Grecan, supported by a servant.

The Prime Minister placed his hand on his chest and sighed as if his heart was heaving.

“You should not frighten an old man like that.”  (Mirania)

“Why?” asked Grecan.

“It is a pitiful creature that can die just by being startled.”  (Mirania)

When Mirania seriously advised, the Prime Minister said with an aggrieved look on his face.

“It’s not that bad.”

Mirania shrugged and grabbed Grecan’s hand.

Grecan smiled gleefully, wrapped his arms around Mirania’s waist and lifted her, and carefully placed her on the ground.

Mirania glanced over the carriage on which Grecan had climbed.

Rattling— A wagon rattled to a halt late.

The carriage, which he had told Grecan and Malandor to ride, had arrived forlornly.

“You could just take that carriage comfortably.”

“I feel most comfortable here,” answered Grecan.

Mirania looked closely at the top of the carriage, which looked uncomfortable at first glance, and then gave Grecan a questionable look.

“Are you saying the roof was comfortable?”  (Mirania)

Grecan shook his head and clasped Mirania’s hand tightly.

“No. By Mirania’s side. That’s where I’m most comfortable,” said Grecan with a bright smile on his face.

Mirania stared at Grecan’s bright face without blinking.

Maybe it’s because Leverianz wasn’t here, Grecan seems to be smiling a lot these days.

‘I thought something would change because of Alice.’

The reaction was blander than I thought, it’s almost embarrassing.

Did spending your childhood together work? I was about to seriously think.

“Have you seen such a cheeky wolf bastard?”

Malandor, who jumped from the back of the carriage that Mirania had taken, swept his hair away as if in shock.

“Are you going to throw away my shoes so you can get off first?”

When Malandor glared at Grecan with grim eyes, Grecan blinked his eyes as if he had no idea what Malandor was talking about.

“With all the pretense of being upright, you also use such dirty tricks on the same subject. I was struck by the unexpectedness. Huh?”

Because of his blazing eyes, the smile on Malandor’s lips did not look like a smile.

Mirania sighed. She seemed to know what had happened.

‘Grecan must have been playing around.’

Mirania clicked her tongue, then tapped Malandor’s shoulder, staring at Grecan with a look at how to cook him.

“Don’t waste your energy on unnecessary things.”

Grecan clung to Mirania’s side as she walked to the imperial palace.

“That little bastard…”

After glaring at the back of Grecan’s head for a while, Malandor secretly fired a shot.

If he were an ordinary person, he would have stopped walking immediately and felt anxious.

Grecan stopped walking. Then he swings his arms as if his shoulders are stiff, and chases Mirania again.

That was the end.

“Hah. It’s amazing. What the hell are you doing?”

Malandor, who was discouraged, shook his head.

Upon entering the imperial palace, a maid approached Mirania and held out something.

It was a black eye patch that stood quietly on a purple velvet pedestal.

“What is it?”

Mirania asked, looking not at the maid but at the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister, who had heard the story from the Imperial Palace servant in advance, awkwardly raised the corners of his mouth.

“It’s His Majesty’s orders. He wants to keep the existence of the person you’re seeing very confidential…”

“So you want me to use this?”  (Mirania)

As the Prime Minister nodded, Mirania lifted and waved the black eye patch from the pedestal.

Swoosh—

Flames rose from Mirania’s fingertips.

The flame moved to the eye patch and burned it in an instant.

The maid, who was unable to scream, stared blankly at some ashes fluttering in the air with wide-open eyes as if they were about to fall.

Mirania shook her hands as she looked at the Prime Minister with his round eyes.

“I will admit that you have a lot of courage. This is the first time anyone has dared to tell me to cover my eyes.”  (Mirania)

The subject stared at the scattering ashes and snapped his trembling lips.

“I guess they should use fabric that won’t tear.”

“For some reason, it didn’t fit well.”  (Mirania)

“It’s strange to wear it…”

Recalling once again that Mirania was no ordinary being from the second continent, the Prime Minister trembled, and hurriedly followed Mirania as she walked.

After going some distance inside, the Prime Minister stopped walking.

“From here on, only those authorized by the emperor can enter, so I also can’t enter. I guess we should leave from here.”

The Prime Minister raised his hand in bewilderment when he saw Grecan and Malandor entering with faces that said it didn’t matter, whether he left or not.

“No, no, the other two can’t go in either. Didn’t I tell you that I also can’t enter?”

Malandor, blocked by his arm, raised an eyebrow.

Grecan flexed his body to avoid the Prime Minister’s arms and followed Mirania.

Mirania noticed his expression and raised her hand. Grecan stopped tall and looked puzzled.

“I’m the only one going in. Grecan, you should go back and rest, too.”

‘There is no need to make Grecan meet Alice.’

Grecan frowned, “It’s dangerous.”

“Just as I can’t harm the emperor, neither can he. There is nothing to worry about.”  (Mirania)

When Grecan was not convinced, a disapproving look, Mirania patted Grecan’s head to tell him not to worry.

“There is nothing to worry about, as the covenants of the past were two-way.”  (Mirania)

Step by step.

Mirania went inside with the guidance of the maid.

Grecan stood there and stared at Mirania until she disappeared.

Soon, Mirania disappeared from his sight.

Grecan turned around with a strangely sullen mood.

Malandor tapped on his shoulder while looking at Grecan in amazement.

“You look like a dog that lost its master, Wolf Boy.”

Tack—  Grecan fiercely slapped Malandor’s hand away and leaned back against the wall, crossing his arms.

His eyes were closed as if he was waiting for Mirania to come out.

“He also has a dog’s temper.”

Whoosh, Malandor whistled and took a seat some distance away from Grecan.

It was after the Prime Minister had returned.

After looking alternately at Mirania, who had disappeared, and Grecan, who had closed his eyes, Malandor fixed his gaze on the motionless Grecan.

His eyes narrowed subtly as he pursed his lips.

“That guy pretends to be fine, but he’s quite crazy. He reeks of madness.”
