Currently, on various SNS platforms, there was a fierce battle raging over Ryeoun’s joining Helix Racing and his relationship with Aiden.

On the search bar of a major Korean portal site, Ryeoun typed in his own name and Aiden’s. And he clicked on the first post that came up without hesitation.

Korea’s F1 prodigy, first Korean ever something-or-other, rising rookie… honestly, he had a ton of those titles, but I didn’t think he was at the level to join Helix, lol.

Honestly… I’m a Ray fan.

But Helix must have their reasons too… Yeah, I thought, they’re not gonna bring in another Jamie, they’re gonna bring in a promising kid and raise him up, and I spent the last few months trying to calm my anxiety, lol.

Today, Helix’s official Insta posted a pic of them together, and all the worries that had been circling in my head instantly vanished, lolololol.

Results? Skill? Team image? I don’t care about any of that.

They just look fucking amazing together, lolololol.

They’re seriously fucking handsome, and just seeing them standing together makes me drool.

Honestly, at this point I can’t tell if I like F1 or if I’m just a driver fan, lol…

Ryeoun threw his phone at the pillow without a second thought.

“Mr. Carter has no intention of even giving out rice cakes, but they’re already drinking the kimchi soup.”

A snort escaped him naturally. It wasn’t a sneer aimed at the fans, but at Aiden.

He thought it was almost fortunate that the fans didn’t know just how much of a cold shoulder he was getting from Aiden right now.

F1 fans come in many forms. There are fans who support teams, fans who support drivers, fans who love the sport of F1 itself, and fans who enjoy the relationships between drivers like this.

Every racing team has vastly different dynamics between their drivers. And right now, Helix’s driver relationship was so broken it couldn’t even be called a ‘relationship’ at all.

‘I got my hopes up too much because my first team memories were so good.’

Ryeoun bitterly mocked himself inwardly.

Horizon Motorsport, the team that had first given him the title of F1 driver, had left him with good memories in many ways. Except for that rattling racing car, it was a team he hadn’t really wanted to leave. Even though he’d ended up leaving because of the car.

“Ah~ I miss Alex…”

Rolling across the bed once, Ryeoun called out Alex’s name out loud. Once he said it out loud, he suddenly genuinely missed Alex.

Ryeoun sprang up and hurriedly grabbed the phone he’d thrown onto the pillow. By now, Alex should have arrived in Australia, shouldn’t he?

While waiting for Alex’s reply, Ryeoun cheerfully opened his suitcase. He pulled out his training clothes, but Alex clearly wouldn’t care much about that.

After quickly changing, Ryeoun sat on the sofa and scrolled through his photo gallery. Just scrolling up a bit, it was filled with photos he’d taken with Alex. That’s how close Alex and Ryeoun were. Probably… Aiden and Jamie had been this close too.

At the time, it was a huge stroke of luck for Ryeoun that Alex was Horizon’s first driver.

Considering that a truckload of drivers got kicked out before they could even properly adapt… Alex had really helped him a lot.

Alex’s name appeared on the phone screen. Instead of a text reply, calling him directly was so like Alex.

Ryeoun smiled and pressed the call button.

“Where are you?”

Tonight’s drinking snack for the two of them would be Aiden Carter.

When he arrived at the lounge they’d agreed on, Alex was already seated. Alex got up happily and welcomed Ryeoun. A brief hug was exchanged.

“About five minutes ago?”

At Alex’s playful answer, Ryeoun shook his head. Even though he knew Ryeoun was asking about his arrival time in Melbourne, he always had to give such an offbeat reply.

Knowing he was the type who liked these little jokes, Ryeoun gave a light retort.

“You didn’t fall from the Melbourne sky into this lounge five minutes ago, did you?”

“Of course not. We’re going to see each other tomorrow anyway, so what’s the sudden occasion?”

“Just felt like having a drink.”

Alex wasn’t wrong that they’d see each other tomorrow. It was the day of Media Day, ahead of the first Grand Prix that marked the season opener.

“Liar. You’re not the type to drink without a reason.”

Alex shot back and winked playfully. Ryeoun shrugged silently and ordered whisky.

While waiting for the drinks they’d ordered, Alex excused himself, saying he needed to make a quick phone call. Ryeoun watched Alex’s back as he stepped out to the terrace to take the call.

Alex Howell is a driver from Australia. At thirty-one, he was an experienced driver with some solid mileage in Formula One.

He was playful, blunt, and loved trading jokes, but when it came to racing, he was more serious than anyone.

‘Hey, are you our rookie? That sky-blue suit is killer, you know?’

The first greeting Alex had ever given him at their first meeting was light and full of mischief.
