Honey, Why Can’t We Get a Divorce? Chapter 160 - Side story 13
Callian became momentarily dazed.
What, who? Who is alive?
“What nonsense are you talking about?”
Callian looked at Sylvester instead of Ophelia and spoke. He didn’t want to show Ophelia the sight of him answering sharply.
“First of all, Your Highness. There’s something I want to ask you.”
Ophelia spoke again to Callian , who was like that.
“Do you need a magic circle?”
“…magic circle?”
The question was so out of context that Callian was once again flustered, but he quickly shook his head.
“Why? I don’t need that?”
In reality, the reason Largo had the magic circle in his hand was because of the fight for the throne.
But now that Largo was gone…
Given that he was already chosen as the next emperor, Callian didn’t need to take on any unnecessary risks.
“No, we were talking about Largo, and suddenly it’s about the magic circle? I already answered your question, so could you explain what the context is?”
As Callian pressed, Sylvester finally spoke up. Callian’s face crumpled as he explained about the intruders who came to the annex and how they were targeting the magic circle.
“If I had sent someone, I wouldn’t have sent such sloppy guys.”
“Are you saying that the guys that Ophelia worked so hard to subdue are sloppy? Are you ignoring my wife?”
“Don’t twist my words.”
Satisfied with scratching Callian’s temper, Sylvester smiled pleasantly and buried himself in the sofa.
Are they elementary school kids? Watching them, Ophelia clicked her tongue before speaking again.
“Anyway, Your Highness, you haven’t actually seen Prince Largo’s body yourself, have you?”
“That’s true.”
“Then…”
Ophelia said, feeling a chill run down her spine.
“It really is possible that he’s alive.”
Even though all the windows in the room were tightly shut, it felt as if an eerie breeze had swept through. A sudden chill crept over him, and Callian unconsciously rubbed his arms.
“I don’t understand.”
Callian said.
“You killed him.”
He gestured to Sylvester. Sylvester tilted his head.
“Who? Who killed whom?”
“You. You to Largo.”
“Oh, Your Highness. Don’t go around saying things like that carelessly. It could cause serious trouble.”
“To me? Or to you?”
“To both of us.”
Sylvester shrugged and looked at Ophelia as if telling her to get up.
“Well, alright. I came to check just in case there was even the slightest possibility. But it seems that the likelihood of Largo being alive is greater than that of Your Highness breaking into my home.”
Ophelia also agreed.
She had rather hoped it wouldn’t be true. Ophelia let out a long sigh as she smoothed her crumpled skirt.
“What should we do?”
As they seemed about to leave, Callian asked them another question.
“We need to find out. Is Largo really alive? If so, what is he planning?”
“Well, we need to find out.”
“So what are we going to do? Is there a way?”
“I don’t really want to tell you.”
“Are you on par with me these days?”
“Not these days, but we’ve been on par before.”
Sylvester stopped trying to get up and leaned forward.
“Let me think about it for a moment.”
He placed both elbows on his thighs and rested his chin on the fingers of his interlaced hands.
“Who was the last person to betray us?”
Both Callian and Ophelia’s gazes turned to Sylvester. He accepted their stares proudly and continued speaking.
“That person must have had a reason to betray us.”
“….”
“Who could it be?”
Ophelia slowly blinked her large eyes and soon muttered.
“…Rice grain.”
“Rice grain?”
“Grand Duchess!”
As Callian wondered why the Grand Duchess would say “rice grain,” he pictured her in his mind and immediately understood. Meanwhile, Ophelia covered her mouth, her expression showing that everything was finally clicking into place.
“C, could it be… that person…!?”
The corners of Sylvester’s mouth tilted up. He frowned and smiled at Ophelia.
“Should I go and see him?”

According to what’s been heard, the Grand Duke and Duchess are currently going through a divorce lawsuit.
The Grand Duke, who refrains from going outside due to hypochondria, and the Grand Duchess, who enjoys being the center of attention and handles external affairs on the Grand Duke’s behalf.
Not only was their relationship mutually beneficial, but they also got along well, so no one ever imagined that they would end up getting a divorce.
Was that why?
The news of the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess’ divorce lawsuit became a hot topic among the nobility, spreading through everyone’s gossip.
“It smells.”
Ophelia muttered after hearing the story through Irene.
“There’s no reason for them to suddenly get divorced.”
“Right. They got along well.”
“Then suddenly they’re filing for divorce?”
Ophelia said, narrowing her eyes.
“There must have been a difference in opinion between the two. That’s probably…”
It must have been about Largo.
In fact, didn’t the Grand Duchess side with Largo during the temple trial? Given that the Grand Duke didn’t say a word about it, it seems he might not have known either. That likely caused some friction. After all, the Grand Duke is close to Sylvester.
‘Then, why?’
Ophelia bit her lower lip and muttered.
The Grand Duchess isn’t a fool. There must have been a solid reason for her to support Largo.
‘She must have been confident that Largo would win.’
That advantage lay precisely in the twist of coming back from the dead.
‘What, does he think he’s a saint or something?’
Ophelia was a little annoyed.
Just when she thought she could finally end it all and find peace, that damned bastard shows up again.
Did he just show up?
She didn’t know where he was or what he was planning. If he survived, he’d be up to something… but she just couldn’t figure out what that “something” was.
“It’s frustrating.”
“Oh my. Is that so? Do you want to change your clothes?”
Ophelia snickered as she looked at Irene, who was looking at her with concern.
“No. The clothes are fine.”
“Then why… Could it be morning sickness? Should I call for the physician?”
“What about morning sickness?”
Ophelia shook her head.
“I don’t think I have morning sickness.”
“How do you know?”
“My instincts tell me so. The baby’s been calm.”
“Aha…”
Can you really sense morning sickness by instinct? Probably not. And it wasn’t yet the time to feel the baby’s movements, so maybe that’s why it seemed calm… Irene thought Ophelia was mistaken but chose not to say it out loud.
“So I need to eat. Can you bring me some food?”
“You always feel a little hungry after going out. I expected that, so I already made a request to the kitchen. I’ll bring it right away!”
As expected, Irene. Ophelia gave her a thumbs up, and Irene smiled happily and left the room.
And soon after, she came back in with a tray of food.
“Oh, my blood sugar is low.”
She had thought too much today. So, she decided to eat well and think more later. Ophelia muttered to herself as she picked up her fork and knife.
In front of her were a delicious-looking steak, mashed potatoes, and salad. The moment she reached for the salad with her fork…
“Ugh!”
…Huh?
