BJ Villainess Chapter 322
* * *
Things escalated quickly.
“Nice to meet you. My name is Luin from the Ananuka family.”
When I arrived at Clyde’s estate with David, Duchess Ananuka was already waiting for us.

[She never came when Frea asked her to come, but she came to Signio planet so easily now?]
The only reason she would come to Signio without a summons from the emperor was obvious. She must have come to see me after hearing about Clyde’s marriage. I didn’t even have to guess. Luin’s curious gaze revealed her purpose for coming.
I quickly paid my respects. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Duchess. My name is Thersa. And this is…” I hesitated, unsure how David would react, and glanced at him. He immediately greeted her with elegant poise.
“My name is David, an acquaintance and business partner of Miss Theresa. I ended up here due to a small incident in the dimension I was in.”
“Oh gosh.” Luin seemed genuinely sympathetic. “At least you ended up on a planet with friends.”
Clyde, seemingly unprepared for this situation, approached Luin with a bewildered expression. “Why did you come all this way when you’re not feeling well?”
“How could I not come when I heard you had a wife?” Luin smiled kindly as she gazed at me. “I never imagined the foreigner His Majesty was searching for would be Clyde’s wife. To reunite across dimensions, shat a fateful love.”
I quickly responded. “Please feel free to speak comfortably, Your Grace.”
Luin wasted no time, dropping formalities and taking my hand. “Oh, is that alright?”
At that moment, David took a step back and bowed. “Then I’ll leave you all to enjoy your time.”
As he tried to excuse himself, Luin’s eyes widened as she grabbed him. “On such a happy day, you must join us. We were already preparing a party, so it was perfect. Let’s celebrate David’s arrival together.”
“I’m fine, but…”
“Come on, let’s go before the food gets cold.”
The impromptu party turned out to be more enjoyable than expected. Surprisingly, the conversation mostly revolved around David.
“There are so many stories about nine-tailed foxes who refrain from eating humans because they want to become human. Is that true?”
David scoffed. “Nine-tailed foxes hate that story the most.”

[A superior being like a nine-tailed fox would never want to become human.]
David glanced at me briefly before continuing. “But in a long life, there are times when you find yourself drawn to something absurdly short-lived. Like an accident.”
Luin, who had lived for 1,200 years, nodded in understanding. “Humans with divine power usually live over 1,000 years. Even without it, they live for more than 300 years. However, the lifespan of foreigners is, at most, 100 years. I had a good friend once, but our time together was too short.”
I wondered if my lifespan had also lengthened since I received divine power from Gufel.
“Now that I have divine power, will my lifespan extend to a thousand years?”
“There have only been three cases of foreigners gaining divine power, so I’m not sure.”
Those three were Hardy, Clyde, and me. Hardy wasn’t a foreigner, but only Ozworld and Frea knew that.
So I still don’t know how long I’ll live.
Then Luin suddenly remembered something and asked. “You mentioned that the two of you are from different races?”
I nodded and explained. “Yes. Clyde is half-human and half-demon. Although his demonic side has disappeared, his race hasn’t changed, so his lifespan and abilities should remain the same.”
As I answered, I realized that I hadn’t really thought about that fact before. What would happen to the people left behind if I died? Even if it wasn’t due to failing a quest or some unfortunate accident, if I died simply because my lifespan was shorter, Clyde, with his relatively longer life, would be left alone…
“Are you afraid that you’ll die before me?”
Clyde somehow sensed exactly what I had been worrying about. I was momentarily speechless at how he had hit the nail on the head, but then he took my hand.
“If you want, I’ll die first, so don’t worry.”
Is this supposed to be a solution?
I glanced at Luin and slapped Clyde’s thigh. He quickly changed his tune with a playful smirk.
“Then how about we die together on the same day?”
I was so taken aback. “You say the most ridiculous things.”
Despite scolding him for his absurd words, I couldn’t help but laugh. Maybe because I knew this was Clyde’s way of being affectionate? Somehow, his talk about dying together with me seemed endearing.
Ding!

[Why did that make my heart flutter? Is my ideal type always a guy who wants to die together with me?]
The party continued late into the night. I ate, drank, and chatted until I could no longer resist my heavy eyelids and began to nod off.
When I briefly awoke, Clyde was laying me down in bed. He noticed I was awake and gently stroked my head. “You’re awake?”
His tender touch felt so good that I pulled his hand to my lips and kissed it with a loud smack. A hand that behaved so nicely deserved praise.
“This makes me not want to leave.”
Clyde still had to return to the ongoing party. But whether it was because my kiss had stirred something in him, he soon found himself breathing heavily as he pressed his lips against mine. The slightly cool bedroom temperature warmed to match his body heat.
Before he could fully crawl under the covers, I pushed his shoulder away. If this went on any longer, people would start to think something was up. So I decided to send him back to the party.
“You should go.”
He understood why I was pushing him away, but reluctant to leave, he pulled me into a tight embrace. And then he whispered to me. “I love you.”
My heart, already pounding from the kiss, felt like it was going to explode. Feeling dizzy and lightheaded, I unintentionally murmured. “Why do you love me?”
Clyde chuckled softly and looked into my eyes. “Do I need a reason not to love you?”
“You used to hate me. And as you know, I’m the creator, so maybe you’re just emotionally drawn to me.”
“So you think I’m a fool, huh?”
“That’s not it.”
Clyde bit my lip playfully and continued with his signature look of exasperation. “Do you think love only happens for grand reasons? Not at all. Love can happen in a moment, like when you pick up a glove someone dropped and your eyes meet.” He spoke of love as if it were a trivial emotion.
I realized that I had subconsciously believed love was something grand and significant. To me, love was an act where someone from outside my world crashed into my life, consumed me, shook me, and took over all my senses. I always thought true love felt like being the only two people in an empty world.
“Especially when you’re so beautiful, lovely, and treat me better than anyone else. How could I not love you?”
Clyde dismissed what everyone calls special love as nothing more than a simple emotion.
At that moment, I realized. The way he loves me is the most devoted love I’ve ever experienced. While everyone else sought possessive love, only he held my hand and led me into a broader world. I finally realized that he, who slowly seeped into every moment of my life, is the most lovable of all.
I had always thought of love as something destined, as if loving my rival, my friend, my colleague, and my creation was different from what one feels for a lover. But it wasn’t. Without realizing it, I began to cry and foolishly confessed.
“I think I love you too.”
Clyde smiled as he wiped my tears away. “I know.”
His nonchalant response left me feeling frustrated, so I sobbed even more and insisted.
“I’m serious. I love you.”
“Why do you think I kissed you? Do you think I’m trash?”
At that moment, I wasn’t sure if I was crying because I felt guilty for realizing my feelings too late or because I was mad at his attitude. At that moment, I suddenly understood why Ozworld had told me that I didn’t know anything.
“You don’t know anything.”
He may say love is no big deal, but I realized I was completely immersed in his love, and there was nothing more shocking. This was the most significant love I had ever experienced.
“Why are you crying like a fussy baby? And who says I don’t know?” He carefully wiped away my tears and tucked me in. “Get some sleep. I’ll be back soon.”
I closed my tear-streaked eyes and answered. “Okay. I love you.”
I thought I saw Clyde silently laughing with a happy expression.

😒😒😒
finally my babies are happy!!! 🥹🥹🥹
