When she first met Hata.

Poor Hata was left mixed up in a pile of garbage.

After lingering around and kicking out the residents of the underworld, Chesha saved Hata with her own hands.

Hata was a puppy shapeshifter who was abandoned after being experimented on.

A grown dog isn’t cute.

It was created out of the greed of humans who wanted to have a small puppy forever.

Due to the side effects of the experiment, Hata was incomplete.

Unlike other shapeshifters who can completely transform into their original human form, his body did not grow with his ears and tails sticking out.

At the age of seventeen, he was trapped in a body that had stopped growing.

Perhaps because of repeated experiments, his mind was a bit immature, and most of his memories had been lost.

So, he couldn’t give Chesha, who was tracking her mother’s traces, any helpful information.

Still, Chesha cured the dying puppy and hid his ears and tail with the power of a fairy.

Hata, who survived the threshold of death, wanted to swear allegiance to the witch fairy.

“Hata wants to stay with the miss fairy forever!”

It was hard to survive alone, but it was such nonsense.

So, of course, she ignored it and left him alone.

But Hata was persistent.

He followed Chesha and eagerly advertised his need.

“Hata helps! Look at this. I made it for miss fairy.”

Present hats and accessories made by himself.

Presenting various potions made with the power of a shapeshifter.

“Hata got the information!”

He sold the goods he had made to find useful information and donate it.

The way he grunted to get Chesha’s favor was no different from a dog meeting a new owner.

The annoying Hata bothered her, but she still didn’t want to kill him.

Is it because of the fact that he was experimented on like her mother?

She was always a little soft towards Hata.

It was one day when she was ignoring Hata who was following her and running around.

Hata is gone.

To think that he had finally given up, the sudden disappearance was strange.

Worried, Chesha set out to find Hata.

And she found out that he was taken by people who held a grudge against her.

That’s why she didn’t want to have anyone by her side….

Chesha was very angry and went to find Hata.

She can’t remember how many people she killed that day.

Just like the daughter of the mad fairy, she only remembers that she ran amok.

Drenched in blood, Chesha finally found Hata.

As expected, with a bad state.

So she thrust an ax at the sprawling Hatta with his limbs twisted in strange directions.

“Don’t ever get in front of me again.”

She placed the dripping ax blade under his chin and warned.

“Because I will kill you.”

She thought that if she had done this, he would understand her words.

However, Hata suddenly started to shed tears.

“Sorry…. Hata, not cute…. It’s a big, ugly dog.”

Until Chesha came, the man who had not shed a drop of tear or moan even though all his limbs were broken cried with his whole body trembling.

“It’s natural that the pretty miss fairy hates Ha, Hata….”

The stupid puppy shapeshifter didn’t even know how to cry properly.

Hata laughed while crying.

“Hata is an idiot. He’s a useless bastard.”

At his familiar words, Chesha frowned.

It’s probably something he heard in the lab.

Repeated countless times, enough to remain clear even though he lost his memory.

“A dirty and messy bastard, ugh, does, doesn’t even know his subject, to the miss fairy…. Hiks, I’m sorry…. Bu, but….”

The mouth that was forcibly pulled up trembled.

Stuttering at the rising cry, Hata brought his cheek to the cool blade of the axe.

Even though red solid lines were drawn and drops of blood were flowing, he begged without hesitation.

“Just, from behind, wouldn’t it be okay if I follow you…?”

It was really annoying and tiresome.

Still, it seemed that there would be nothing wrong with raising a puppy.

The first thing Chesha did after making up her mind to keep him by her side was to hold on to his lifeline.

There is nothing more foolish than trusting others in the underworld.

Of course it had to be done.

She ripped through the tattered hem of his clothes and placed her hand on Hata’s left chest.

Colorful flowers bloomed there.

Wrapped in fluttering petals and butterflies, Hata blinked blankly, then moaned in pain.

“Ugh…!”

Despite breaking out in a cold sweat from the pain, Hata endured it.

At the end of the time of patience, a mark was engraved that redeemed the heart.

Hata, who confirmed the flower pattern blooming on his skin, made an ecstatic expression.

The puppy who entrusted life and death to the leash was very pleased with that fact.

Chesha commanded Hata, who was looking at her with a reddened face.

“From now on, live as my puppy.”

From that day on, Hata became the witch fairy’s dog.

The loyal dog bet his everything on Chesha.

He worked harder than necessary for anything, and if there was anyone who was a threat to Chesha, he would be the first to run out and bite them.

To the extent that she feels like he was exaggerating.

Still, the creature that resembled a fluffy dessert was cute when it barked like a beast.

‘I’m in trouble now! Why are you already here!’

Chesha felt like her soul was escaping.

Karha, who held Chesha who was screaming inwardly with one arm, put his hand on the hilt of the sword tied around his waist.

“Wait a minute.”

Click, the sword was released from its scabbard, and a dazzling flash flashed at the same time.

There was the sound of air cracking, and a little later, thud, followed by a heavy sound.

It was the sound of the fountain in front of Chesha just being split cleanly in half.

The gurgling water made a mess of the lawn in the garden.

Karha smiled crookedly as he swung his sword.

“Let’s catch that one dog then talk again.”

Karha’s intuition for cutting the fountain in half was correct.

Hatta had been hiding behind some shrubs not far from the fountain.

Hata, who had hidden himself by placing a butterfly sent by Chesha on his head, glared fiercely at Karha through the bushes.

Judging by the flashing purple eyes, he seemed to have misunderstood the situation.

He thinks that Karha was harassing Chesha.

Hatta was poised to jump out at any moment and bite Karha.

‘Hata! You can’t!’

She desperately glanced at Hata.

Hata, who had been growling, instantly became docile as soon as his eyes met with Chesha’s.

A well-tamed puppy looked at its owner with gentle eyes.

When he asked what to do, Chesha gave a secret sign with her chin from Karha.

It was a signal to jump.

However, it seemed that it would not be easy for Hata to escape.

That would also be the case, Karha, who had followed Chesha precisely with his beastly sixth sense, was walking straight to Hata’s spot this time.

It was completely different from when he was chasing Chesha while smelling the flowers.

It was the eyes with a will to kill.

Chesha glanced at Karha’s sword.

Two swords tied side by side at the waist.

It was a sword that was shorter in length than a commonly used sword.

Judging from the light and rhythmic movements, there was a high probability that it was a two sword style based on swift swords.

Swordsmanship, which focuses on extreme attack, was a contrary match for Hata, who was a shapeshifter focused on hand-to-hand combat.

Right now, he is holding Chesha, so he pulled out only one sword, but if a full-fledged fight breaks out….

Chesha’s puppy might be minced like a piece of meat by the two blades that would pour down without a break.

‘I can’t let that happen.’

Chesha’s eyes softened.

It was the moment when she was determined to reveal her identity and tried to use her strength.

Suddenly, the ground shaking could be felt.

It was the vibration caused by the running of dozens of horses.

Bells rang from the castle tower, and lights were lit throughout the castle.

The castle, which had been locked in darkness, became bright in an instant.

Karha frowned at the loud ringing of the bell.

‘… Ugh.”

Due to the sudden uproar, Karha gave up dog hunting.

“I have to go to the castle gate.”

Instead of chasing Hata, who ran away in a hurry, he carried Chesha in his arms and ran lightly to the gate.

And he hid himself behind a bush in sight of the gate.

He had his hand on the hilt so that he could pull out the sword at any time.

In front of the gates, there were knights waving red flags.

It was a flag with the pattern of the imperial family.

Kiern walked out slowly, wearing a coat over a simple dressing gown.

The nobleman who came with the knights looked down at Kiern without getting off his horse.

He said arrogantly.

“Count Basilian, accept the Imperial order.”

As if sleepy, Kiern yawned with half-closed eyes.

The nobleman bawled out at the sloppy behavior.

“How can you be so arrogant! How can a noble who serves the emperor act like this!”

“Aah…. That’s why, wouldn’t it be nice if you came during the day?”

Kiern, who combed his messy hair roughly with his hand, replied in a languid voice.

“Just tell me about the Imperial order, please.”

The nobleman gritted his teeth and took out a scroll from his bosom.

He tore off the wax seal with the emperor’s seal on it and read the Imperial order in a shrill voice.

“As soon as Count Basilian receives the message, enter the Imperial Palace. This is an order from the Emperor, and failure to comply will be considered treason. Also definitely….”

He spoke as if pressing down one and one on each letter at a time.

“Enter the palace together with the newly adopted child you brought into the House.”
