Now This Family Belongs to My Mother Chapter 57
“Find a good man for Epirosa? Are you out of your mind? Have you forgotten what that damned girl did to our mother?” Nicholas shouted, his voice rising in anger.
Stella turned to look at Nicholas with an expression of utter disdain. “Brother, do you really not understand what I’m saying?” She placed her hands on her hips and stepped closer to him. “I’m doing this because I want to avenge Mom too. I’m trying so hard, but you can’t even understand a single word I’m saying and just keep arguing.”
“What do you mean I don’t understand?”
“Think about it. Do you even have the right to be angry?”
“What did you just say?” Nicholas’s eyes flared with rage.
Stella, unfazed, sneered coldly as she spoke. “If you think about it, it’s basically your fault that Mom ended up in the Tower of Condemned.” She acted as if he had nothing to do with Diane’s situation.
“Hey, you were the one who agreed to send Mom to the Tower of Condemned!” Nicholas shouted, his eyes bloodshot. But Stella was shameless.
“When did I ever say that? I just told Father not to intervene because I was worried that Mom might harm our family! I thought, of course, Grandfather would take care of saving Mom! How was I supposed to know it would turn out like this?”
“Uugh, Grandfather, how could he…!”
“Idiot, the problem isn’t Grandfather, it’s Epirosa!” Stella spoke icily. “Do you remember the day Mom was taken? Epirosa had a private meeting with Grandfather. She must have told him to send Mom to the Tower of Condemned. Otherwise, why would Grandfather abandon our Mom? She’s the only daughter-in-law of the Blanche family!”
Stella’s relentless words flooded Nicholas’s dim-witted mind. Soon, his face burned with fury.
“Epirosa, that wretch!”
“So think carefully. Is there anyone around you we could stick to Epirosa?”
“Stick to her?”
Nicholas rolled his eyes. It seemed like there wasn’t anyone around him who was more of a scoundrel than he was. Even the people he used to know had all drifted away after a fraudulent investment scandal, and he had been kicked out of Claude’s circle, leaving him with no connections.
Stella, as if frustrated, spoke again. “Isn’t there anyone who’s so greedy to become an in-law of the Blanche family that he’d be willing to endure any scandal?”
“The only ones left are those pathetic nobles who can’t even hold their own in the provinces…”
“Exactly, those are the kind of people I’m talking about!” Stella beamed as if she had been waiting for this moment.
Nicholas tilted his head in confusion, but then, he finally thought of someone. Someone who would even flatter someone like him just to establish connections with central nobles. A pathetic guy who had nothing but a silver tongue and a ridiculously handsome face. Any woman who got involved with that greedy b*stard would surely ruin her life. Now, Nicholas felt like he truly understood Stella’s intentions.
“Maddux Luiji! Let’s stick him to Epirosa.” Nicholas smirked wickedly.

“Welcome, Lady Epirosa Blanche! We’ve been expecting you.”
The bank manager himself came out to greet me and escorted me with utmost care. After entering a special room through a private passage and having a discussion, he guided me to my vault. I turned the key to the vault with a bewildered expression and whispered to Benjamin.
“He’s being so nice to me because of my grandfather, right?”
“No, that’s not it.”
But the one who answered wasn’t Benjamin. It was the bank manager.
“You yourself are our bank’s top VIP, Milady.”
“Me? I just have a bit of money, that’s all.”
“‘A bit’ of money, you say!” The bank manager shook his head dramatically, as if to dismiss my words, and then opened the door to my vault.
For a moment, it felt like light was pouring out. Inside the vault, countless jewels, gold bars, and gold coins were stacked neatly like a mountain. There was barely any room to step. The sight was so overwhelming that even Benjamin, let alone me, was stunned.
“You’ll need to purchase another vault,” the bank manager whispered.
“Looks like it. But it’ll take some time to fill the second one.”
“I don’t think so. Didn’t your recent investment turn out to be a huge success?”
I had started investing to manage the overwhelming amount of money I couldn’t handle. Relying on memories from my past life, I only invested in businesses that seemed profitable. As a result, the already unmanageable amount of money had multiplied several times over, leading to this unfortunate(?) situation.
“If we move the investment returns into the second vault, how much will it fill?”
“Even the second vault won’t be enough.”
“What?”
“One vault won’t be enough. It’ll burst.”
I was at a loss for words. Even though I was staring at the glittering gold and jewels right in front of me, it didn’t feel real.
In my past life, I didn’t even have a single penny to spend on myself, and now I’ve made this much money. Even the wealthiest in the capital probably didn’t have this kind of fortune. Even if I left the Blanche family right now, I wouldn’t have to worry about making a living for the rest of my life—no, for generations to come.
But money wasn’t my goal. There was something I needed to do with this money.
“I’ll purchase three more vaults.”
Benjamin’s eyes widened at my words.
“Two more would be enough.”
“It’s fine. I’ll fill all three vaults to the brim.”
At my confident declaration, the bank manager clapped his hands. “As expected, the mindset of someone with a lot of money is different!”
Suddenly, Benjamin seemed like a man without any nerve. Though he didn’t seem particularly fazed himself.
I stepped into the vault. Gold coins scattered under my feet. I grabbed a handful of gold coins from one of the boxes. The feeling of the large coins slipping through my fingers was satisfying. Even after a few coins fell, my hand still felt heavy.
“I’ll withdraw the amount of gold coins in this one box.”
“Are you thinking of buying a large villa in a prime location?” The bank manager asked.
I shook my head, smiling serenely with no greed in my expression. “No. I have a more urgent use for it elsewhere.”
After loading the chest of gold coins into the carriage trunk, I climbed into the carriage to head home.
“What do you plan to do with such a large sum of money?” As soon as the carriage door closed, Benjamin asked, looking visibly concerned. “Even if it seems like a small amount to you, Milady, you should still be cautious when spending money.” He sounded like an older brother worried about a younger sibling who had suddenly come into a fortune.
I spoke in a tone meant to reassure him. “I don’t think of it as a small amount. But right now, it’s time to spend big.” My words were spoken with both caution and boldness.
The concern on Benjamin’s face shifted to curiosity. “What do you plan to use it for?”
“Before that, I need your help, Sir Benjamin.”
“My help?”
“Yes.” I looked into his eyes as I spoke. “Please find out if there are any employees at Blanche who are in dire need of money or facing difficulties.”
“Are you planning to help them with this money?”
“Yes.”
“Why on earth… Wait, could it be?” Benjamin’s eyes widened.
I nodded. “I’m planning to earn the trust of every single employee, from top to bottom. If, by any chance, I end up managing the household, I won’t be able to do anything without their help.”
“But surely, there are people who aren’t worth helping. Like those who gamble or…”
“I don’t plan to invest in people like that either. In fact, this is the perfect opportunity to inform Grandpa and dismiss them. They could harm the family. And also…” I took a deep breath and spoke slowly. “There’s someone I’m looking for among the employees.”
“Someone you’re looking for? Who is it?”
“The person who will become the new head maid.”
Benjamin’s face was filled with astonishment. I gave him a confident smile in response.

“This is a necklace that Empress Selem used a hundred years ago. I’ve kept it safe all this time, but I thought it would suit Duchess Clementi better than me, so I brought it.” Stella said, her voice dripping with sweetness.
Violet’s eyes sparkled with desire as she looked at the necklace, adorned with glittering jewels.
“My goodness! Did Empress Selem really use this? It’s so beautiful!”
“Go on, put it on. I can’t wait to see it on you!”
Violet, after putting on the necklace, looked at the other noblewomen with a satisfied expression. “How do I look?”
“It suits you so well! It looks like it was made for Duchess from the start!”
“My goodness! You truly look like an empress.”
“Not just like an empress. Duchess Violet is practically an empress in her own right.”
With the noblewomen’s flattery, Violet’s shoulders rose high with pride. She looked at Stella with a softened expression, as if the past events were completely forgotten. “How did you manage to get something so precious?”
“My grandmother passed it down to me.” Stella lied with a bright, cheerful smile. She had never received it from her grandmother, nor was it hers to begin with.
