“Sister!”
“Evelin!”
“Miss Evelin, Sir Werner!”
The three shouted at the same time, hurrying into the infirmary.
However, there was no Evelin to be found, but only Werner, who had collapsed.
Holloway’s eyes hardened coldly. Evelin’s smell disappeared again.
The smell that Suriel buried. Only this woman was disappearing and appearing repeatedly.
In particular, when she moved somewhere, her smell couldn’t be sensed at all, and only after some time had passed could he sense it again.
It’s probably the same this time too…
‘If I wait and she gets hurt again…’
Holloway unconsciously tightened his jaw.
Since when did he care about even a single human getting hurt, he began to hear his worries for Evelin.
He chewed the flesh in his mouth, touching his forehead.
He was so puzzled that a fierce energy leaked out.
Cleta and Moran, who were next to him, were startled for a moment.
“H-Holloway?”
As Moran’s voice trembled, he could barely suppress his strength. Then he acted while crying.
“Sister…”
Young children deserve to be protected.
With that thought stuck in their heads, Moran and Cleta put aside their momentary doubts.
No one suspected the young and delicate Holloway.
Moran gently patted the crying Holloway on the back.
“It’s fine. We’ll meet her again. Let’s ask Sir Werner what happened.”
There were sword marks everywhere as if something had happened here, and the infirmary was in even more disarray than when they came in.
He thought about taking the weapon away, yet there was no sword in Werner’s hand.
In case of a dangerous situation, Cleta left Holloway and Peony quite behind.
“He might attack suddenly again, so step back for a moment.”
“Y-Yes… Be careful, Sir Cleta.”
Cleta grabbed Werner and shook him.
After shaking vigorously a few more times, Werner groaned and slowly opened his eyes.
“Sir, Sir!”
“Eugh…”
“Sir!”
The moment Werner opened his eyes, Moran, behind them, held her hands together and asked with a slightly worried face.
“Sir Werner! Are you back to your senses?”
Holloway looked closely at the sword that wasn’t in Werner’s hand.
Did she survive by accidentally breaking the sword, or did she know about it, he wondered.
As time passed, he became more suspicious, yet he couldn’t pinpoint anything.
Looking at her actions, he wondered if his suspicions were a mistake, and looking at this situation now, he felt like there was something there.
He had a suspicion, but there was no evidence.
‘It seems like she’s one of those people, then it’s like she’s not.. ’
“H-Here…”
Werner frowned and straightened up. Cleta and Moran looked at him nervously.
Although they thought he might attack, he didn’t take any action.
Instead, he continued to frown while touching his forehead as if his head was hurting.
“Where am I?”
A light came into his eyes as if he had come back to his senses.
Both of them breathed a sigh of relief. She kindly explained to Werner, who was looking around.
“It’s the infirmary. You suddenly attacked us, do you remember?”
Werner widened his eyes in surprise at that question.
“I-I attacked you? I don’t remember…”
It was like there was a fog in his head and he couldn’t remember a single thing.
He was obviously looking for a companion when he saw someone…
“Ah, I met someone!”
“Someone?”
She asked back, and Holloway’s face became frighteningly cold.
“I couldn’t see it because they were covering their face… but they looked like a woman.”
Holloway sneered lowly so they couldn’t see. His suspecting self was dumbfounded.
This was done to trap Evelin.
As soon as he realized that Evelin didn’t bring this whole situation on, his doubts disappeared.
“She approached me and suddenly inserted a syringe into my arm. She was so strong that I couldn’t fight back, but when I woke up…”
After that, they knew without having to say anything.
“Then it could be that the syringe is what caused you to attack us.”
“Are you saying the drugs in it were the cause?”
“I can only guess. It might have something to do with this hotel. Anyway…”
Putting aside the reasoning for later, Cleta looked around and asked Werner for now.
“You may not remember, but I hope you do. Where is Evelin?”
“…You mean Miss Evelin? Why are you asking me that.”
Cleta sighed deeply as he looked at Werner, who had a completely clueless expression on his face.
“You and Evelin were locked in the infirmary. Yet when we opened the door and came in, there was only you, who collapsed.”
In short, Evelin was with him, then she disappeared.
Although it wasn’t an accusatory tone, Werner’s face became thoughtful.
He felt guilty about forcibly bringing Evelin, who already didn’t want to.
Yet as if that wasn’t enough, she even disappeared after being alone with him.
“What tricks have I done without my knowledge?”
Cleta shook his head, looking at Werner in confusion.
“The woman caught her. She put a syringe on you and took her to the infirmary, leaving Evelin and you alone. Then when we opened the door, you came to your senses and Evelin was gone.”
“So, you’re saying she used me as bait to take away Miss Evelin?”
“Under the circumstances, yes.”
“Ha…”
She didn’t let down her guard. That woman was no ordinary person.
Werner stood up, holding his throbbing head.
“Let’s quickly go find Miss Evelin. Even if we can’t use aura, that woman is strong.”
He didn’t know what was going to happen.
She had the audacity to give him an injection and bring him to the infirmary…
“If Miss Evelin is her goal…”
“Damn, isn’t there a secret passageway leading to another way in the infirmary?”
Although Cleta quickly searched the infirmary, he couldn’t find anything.
He was anxious, fearing that their paths would misalign as they wandered around without knowing where she had gone.
It was then.
“Huh?”
At the sound of Moran’s voice, Werner and Cleta looked at her. She shouted with a confused look on her face.
“H-Holloway is gone!”
Holloway, who clearly had been next to me just now, had disappeared.
***
The sword was lodged right next to Evelin’s neck.
A thin line of blood appeared on her white neck, and fresh blood flowed.
Celyr looked back and forth between the stray sword and Evelin’s neck, then raised her head.
Her lips quivered as her head raised to the point her chin was lifted.
“H-Holloway.”
Long hair and refreshing scent.
Holloway, who was much taller than the others, had already returned to his normal self.
His hand tightened around Celyr’s, which was holding the sword. Crack, crack.
“Ugh…”
Celyr groaned softly at the pain of her bones breaking, yet Holloway didn’t relax his hold.
The red eyes flashing in the darkness radiated a deadly force so strong that it was difficult to breathe.
“What are you doing.”
Celyr flinched at the cold voice.
“I’m asking what are you doing. I asked you twice.”
“…G-Getting rid of her.”
Holloway’s face tilted to an angle.
His lips were set in a straight line.
The sparkling eyes couldn’t gaze away from Celyr.
“Why?”
“…”
“Ah.”
Holloway let out a low exclamation and gripped Celyr’s hand even harder.
Tears welled up in her eyes due to the intense pain.
“Aagh…”
“Do I have to rip off one of your arms for you to answer me?”
At that time, Ectenron grabbed Holloway’s hand.
Ectenron’s hand, twisted as if he was crying, trembled. Holloway’s gaze fell on him.
The gazes of two people of similar height collided in the air.
Ectenron was unable to maintain eye contact with Holloway and eventually lowered his head first.
Ectenron shook her head.
“You’re telling me to stop?”
“Hm.”
“Why?”
“Uh…”
When Holloway raised his hand, looking at Ectenron in confusion.
“Eugh… ”
At Evelin’s faint moan, his arm stopped in the air.
Holloway’s face slowly lowered and looked at Evelin.
Evelin was badly injured, blood flowing around her.
Anger arose at Celyr and Ectenron to the point that his fingertips grew cold.
Where does that anger come from, and why does he get so nervous just because a mere human being got hurt?
Even Holloway himself didn’t understand.
He tried to find and suppress reason as best as he could, yet it was to no avail.
Crump!
Finally, unable to bear it any longer, Holloway broke Celyr’s hand.
“AAAAGH!”
“…!”
When Ectenron was startled and rushed towards Celyr, Holloway moved his hand, which had been suspended in the air, again and plunged it into his neck.
“UUGH!”
Ectenron, pushed by that strong force, was thrown into the wall.
“…I’m so fucking angry, you know.”
“H-Heugh…”
“I’m still angry like this.”
Holloway blew his hair back and exhaled.
There was no way to calm the anger rising from deep inside.
Celyr, who fell to the floor and sobbed, and Ectenron, who had lost his consciounsess, didn’t even move.
Holloway got down on one knee toward Evelin.
Fortunately, the bleeding from her neck had stopped. His large hand supported her head.
He carefully lifted her up, holding her close.
Holloway stood up while holding Evelin and looked down at Celyr.
Putting on an unfair look, Celyr screamed at Holloway with bloodshot eyes.
“She’s a human!”
Holloway lifted Evelin’s motionless hand and buried his lips on her fingers.
She stuttered as if bewildered by his unexpected behavior.
“Y-You…”
“She’s a human, but.”
He licked her bloody fingers.
Her fishy yet sweet blood slowly spread in his mouth.
Celyr was left speechless by the strange and even bizarre scene.
Finally, Holloway lightly kissed Evelin’s fingertips as if making a fortune and spoke indifferently.
“She seems to be special.”
Tiring!
[Holloway’s tightly closed heart has been opened!]
[All numbers rise explosively! The numbers have reached 30%!]
[Holloway recognizes you as a ‘cute and special comedian’!]
The fainting Evelin couldn’t thank him.
