The Prince Seduces Me with His Body Chapter 128
“It’s been a while. You’re just as beautiful as always, Third Princess Consort.” Ludwig slightly bowed his head and extended his hand, implying that he wanted her hand so he could kiss the back of it.
Diana, who had been silently watching him for a moment, smiled lightly, adjusting the handle of her parasol as if following his lead. “The parasol is a bit heavy. I trust Marquis will understand.”
Ludwig’s shoulders tensed slightly. He blinked once in surprise before quickly regaining his composure and straightening his posture. His lips moved slowly. “…I see. How come you haven’t even brought a maid with you?”
“I sent her to Kayden to bring him here once his business was done. It seemed Marquis missed the timing.”
“The Third Prince’s business…” Ludwig narrowed his eyes and cast his gaze toward the imperial palace. Tilting his head, he muttered quickly. “Could it be that he has gone to visit the second prince, who’s confined in the tower? If it’s the third prince I know, he will try to persuade her by delivering the news that the execution of Lord Sudsfield has been confirmed.”
“…”
Diana felt a chill run down her spine. He was, as always, sharp-witted. She barely managed to hide her surprise.
As if he had noticed nothing, Ludwig, who had been observing her expression carefully, suddenly spoke up. “Shall I save him?”
“…Huh?” Diana couldn’t understand what she had just heard. She reflexively asked back.
Ludwig took a step closer. With a seemingly gentle gesture, he swept Diana’s hair over her shoulder and whispered. “I’m on my way to meet with the judge to confirm the execution date for Lord Sudsfield.”
“…”
“No matter how bad your relationship is, you are siblings, after all. I’m sure Your Highness isn’t entirely indifferent to it.”
“…”
“If Your Highness just says the word, ‘please save him,’ I will plead to spare his life from execution.” It was a whisper as sly as a snake. Ludwig, looking at Diana as if she were prey, narrowed his eyes and smiled.
…How fascinating. Ludwig suddenly thought to himself. The blue-violet eyes looking back at him were calm. He had always been adept at reading people’s emotions just by looking them in the eye. But even he couldn’t easily read Diana’s thoughts. The combination of her youthful face and eyes that were too calm for someone her age was strange.
After a moment of silence, as if considering his offer, Diana finally spoke. “…Then, what should I give you in return?”
“Something very simple,” Ludwig answered, his gaze drifting downward.
Noticing his eyes lingering near her pale pink lips, Diana couldn’t help but chuckle softly. She called him gently. “Marquis Kadmond.”
“Yes, Your Highness.”
“Don’t dream in vain.”
“…Pardon?”
This time, Ludwig couldn’t hide his confusion. His brain almost short-circuited from the cognitive dissonance. Such harsh words in a sweet voice.
Whether he noticed or not, Diana, with a soft smile, continued speaking sharply. “You may think you’re quite charming, but you’re not to me.”
“…”
“So don’t waste your energy on something pointless. It would be more worthwhile to pay attention to the young ladies who are pining for you instead.”
“…Haha.” Ludwig finally couldn’t hold it in any longer and burst out laughing. Covering his mouth with one hand, his shoulders shook with laughter, causing Diana’s eyebrow to twitch slightly.
Whether he knew it or was pretending not to, Ludwig laughed for a while longer before finally calming down. Wiping his still-smiling mouth with one hand, he muttered. “This is troublesome.”
“…”
“Hearing Your Highness say that makes me want to chase after the impossible even more.”
In his pale blue eyes, an unfamiliar heat flickered. If his gaze toward Diana earlier had been like someone eyeing well-prepared prey, now it was more like…
…Is he a pervert?
It was a look of someone genuinely ‘desiring.’
Diana clicked her tongue silently. Before her regression, Ludwig had never approached women, so she hadn’t realized he was the type to become more interested when rejected.
One thing was clear: Ludwig was deliberately approaching her.
It seemed he wanted to drive a wedge between her and Kayden. Having learned what she needed, there was no longer any reason to face him. Without hesitation, Diana turned away.
With a smile still on his face, Ludwig quickly followed behind her. “Where are you going?”
“I only have one place to go, don’t I?”
“Let me escort you—”
“No need. I’m already here.”
Diana belatedly noticed the presence that had come right up to her while she was preoccupied with Ludwig. Ludwig, too, seemed surprised. A strong arm suddenly wrapped around Diana’s waist. A steady embrace pulled her into a firm chest.
Kayden, holding Diana in his arms, smiled fiercely at Ludwig. “Whether it’s out of kindness or something else, I refuse. I’m not the kind of man who would let another man escort my wife while I’m right here.”
* * *
Ludwig withdrew without protest once Kayden appeared, his expression unreadable. Although she had sent him away, Diana still felt uneasy due to the heat she had seen in Ludwig’s eyes. But Kayden didn’t give her much time to dwell on it.
“…Thinking about another man in bed, really?”
“Ah. It’s not like that, gasp…
A mischievous voice came from behind her, and her ear suddenly stung. Diana let out a reflexive gasp and turned her head.
Kayden, who had been playfully nibbling at her ear, relaxed his grip, looking sulky. His heavy weight pressed down on her, and Diana wriggled under him, whining.
“You’re heavy.”
“I’m doing it on purpose.”
“…You’re such a bully.”
“That hurts. Want me to really show you what real bullying is?”
“I didn’t even let him kiss the back of my hand this time…”
“Oh, so last time when he was flirting, he kissed your hand, is that it?”
“…”
“That b*stard…” Kayden gritted his teeth.
Heavy as he was, what made it more unbearable was the feel of his muscles flexing with each movement. Diana squirmed.
“You can burn with rage over the marquis all you want, but could you get off… Hup.”
Her complaints were abruptly cut off as her mouth was sealed. A soft, warm sensation pushed its way in.
“Mmm…”
Her breathing quickly became ragged again. Though it was just a kiss, it felt like she was being devoured. Diana panted and gripped the sheets tightly.
Kayden finally pulled away after what felt like ages. He nipped at her lower lip playfully with a mischievous grin. His low, seductive voice tickled her ears. “I told you not to call his name.”
“…But I didn’t call his name.”
“Doesn’t matter. Just don’t even think about him. I get jealous.”
“So unreasonable…”
“So, do you hate it?”
Kayden gave her a pitiful look, raising his eyebrows dramatically. But with his naturally handsome face, even that expression suited him.
Diana pouted and nudged his stomach with her elbow. She immediately regretted it when the pain shot up her arm. She shouldn’t have done that…
“…Stop testing me. You already know what I’m going to say.”
“I know, but it feels good every time, so I want to hear it again.”
“Can’t you stop being so smug…”
Unable to resist, Diana burst into laughter. Seeing her mood lighten, Kayden’s hands began to slide upward again. She didn’t notice until he had already grabbed her wrists.
It was quite sometime later before Diana was able to free herself from him. Lying sprawled out on the bed next to him, she heard a knock at the door, followed by Bella’s small voice.
“Your Highness, I apologize for disturbing you. Viscount Sudsfield is here to see you.”
