Inside, two beautiful girls were locked in a heated stare, the tension between them so sharp it felt like sparks could actually fly.

I froze in place.

Every instinct screamed, ‘Don’t go in there. ‘

Turning slightly toward Madam Rimon, I whispered,

“Should we maybe… check out somewhere else first?”

“Hm? Oh, no. This is the most popular shop these days.”

Unbothered by the clear tension in the room, Madam Rimon strode in without hesitation.

Near the counter, beside a small door, I saw someone poking their head out. Madam Rimon called out cheerfully.

“Ah, there she is. Miss Selene, would you mind sitting on the sofa for a moment? I’ll go have a word with the manager and be right back.”

I nodded and sat awkwardly on the edge of the sofa.

And thanks to that, I ended up getting a front-row seat to what might’ve been the most entertaining spectacle of my life—a live showdown.

‘Just one glance, and I could tell.’

Their beauty was absolutely striking — so radiant, it almost hurt to look at them.

They’re both main characters.

The girl with pink hair had matching eyes. With her delicate features and innocent charm, she had to be the female lead.

“I don’t think this dress suits you at all, Lady Viviana.”

The other had crimson hair and piercing ice-blue eyes. Her sharp, fox-like features gave her a fierce vibe—definitely the villainess…

“And you think you can afford this, Lady Elloe?”

With every word exchanged, it felt like sparks were flying.

A strong instinct told me I shouldn’t be here. I nervously tightened the sash of my dress and shrank back.

‘I’m basically invisible. Just furniture… Please, pretend I’m not here…’

As I hesitated, Madam Rimon slipped through the inner door.

Naturally, I couldn’t help but overhear the heated exchange between the two girls.

“Lady Viviana, are you really going to buy that dress just to let it rot in your wardrobe? What a waste!”

“And yet you wear the same outfit every day, Lady Elloe! Isn’t that a little pitiful?”

Neither of them backed down. They hurled words like they were firing ammunition.

‘Whoa, so fierce. But still…’

I found myself tilting my head without realizing it.

What are they even fighting about?

Curious, I glanced at the dress lying between them.

It was… meh.

I’m no fashion expert, but I have eyes — and that dress was just plain.

A simple ivory-white thing with some gathered lace around the chest, a dull pearl stuck in the middle, and a slightly uneven hem meant to look frilly.

‘Why on earth are they fighting over that…?’

One of my secret hobbies — though I rarely admitted it — was reading online posts asking for fashion advice, like “Should I get this or that?” and leaving comments.

Watching people argue over cute outfits or accessories had always been oddly entertaining.

And now, all that accumulated “fashion critic” experience inside me was screaming:

‘I want to recommend something else…’

But I knew my place. There was only one thing I needed to do here — stay quiet.

‘Eyes down.’

With my eyelids lowered in caution, I sat quietly, but a nagging worry lingered. What if every outfit in this store had that same awful style?

Still… wearing something that looked like tree bark felt a bit too much.

‘Just a quick peek.’

I stole a cautious glance at the dresses hanging along the wall. Thankfully, the selection was much broader — and far more stylish — than I’d feared.

I let out a small sigh of relief.

But maybe I hadn’t been as subtle as I thought.

The two girls, locked in their tense standoff, turned to glare at me in perfect unison.

“Then let’s hear this young lady’s opinion.”

“I second that.”

“What do you think, Lady?”

“Huh? Me? Wait… you mean me?”

Elloe gave a charming smile. So pretty… but right, this is exactly the kind of person you’d expect as the original female lead.

“Lady, please take a look. The moment this dress was placed on the mannequin, it immediately caught my eye. That’s why I told the manager I wanted to try it first.”

“Ah… I see.”

“But while I was in the fitting room, this person grabbed the dress like it was hers. What do you make of that?”

“Oh my…”

I was struggling to respond when Viviana gave a small nod and chimed in.

“I was going to try it on, but why go through all that trouble if I’ve already paid for it? I mean, I bought it first. Doesn’t that make it mine?”

“Oh…”

I hesitated. Maybe it would be better to just say something to send them away quickly?

Carefully, I opened my mouth.

“Um… this is just, like, my personal opinion, but…”

“Go ahead.”

Both of their sharp gazes zeroed in on me at once.

Overwhelmed by their beauty, I nearly flinched.

Swallowing hard, I barely managed to speak.

“This dress… isn’t really that pretty, is it?”

The two of them glanced at the dress, then back at me.

“Well… the color is kind of… don’t you think?”

I could feel cold sweat forming under their unwanted attention, but I pushed through and shared my thoughts.

“This Lady has pink-toned hair, so I think something more muted would suit her better. Maybe a softer shade that complements the pink? Like that one over there…”

I pointed to a dress hanging off to the side, and Elloe followed my gaze, walking over to it.

“As for this Lady, with your complexion, I think a soft blue would look really nice… It’d brighten your face. That one — what do you think? Too plain?”

Before I even finished speaking, Viviana had already snatched up the new dress I pointed to and marched off.

“Clerk! Where are you? I’m buying this!”

She seemed pretty satisfied with the switch. I let out a quiet sigh of relief.

‘Alright, I guess we’re done here? Now I can finally buy my own clothes and go home in peace…’

Chatting casually with those two main characters still felt a little dangerous, but… this much should be okay, right?

Please let it be.

As the shop calmed down, two staff members who had been quietly hiding in the back finally came out and helped me pick out some clothes.

Then the shop owner and Madam Rimon appeared.

“Shall we re-measure your size?”

One of the workers, holding a tape measure, stepped toward me.

“Let’s go behind the partition, measure again, and try on a few outfits.”

With the clothes in my arms, I trudged into the fitting room.

After I changed and stepped out, the two girls from earlier were calmly sitting on the sofa, watching me.

“What kind of situation is this?”

Elloe flashed a sunny smile.

“Lady, since you picked out a dress for me, I’ll pick one for you too.”

“It’s better if we both help.”

“Lady Viviana’s taste isn’t exactly flawless. If Madam Rimon and I choose something, I’m sure it’ll be perfect.”

“I’ll pick one with Madam Rimon.”

Strangely enough, the two of them—who had been bickering just moments ago—gave the exact same reaction each time I stepped out in a new dress.

You’d never guess they were about to fight just moments ago — now they were completely in sync.

Thanks to that, I managed to choose clothes quickly.

“Thank you.”

I said with a small nod, then Elloe spoke.

“By the way, what’s your name?”

“Selene Whedon.”

“Whedon? Weden…? That’s confusing.”

Hearing my name, the two of them exchanged glances, their expressions suddenly turning elegant and composed.

As I smoothed down my skirt, I greeted them politely.

“I’m Elloe Callart, daughter of Baron Callart.”

“I’m Viviana Erylleon, of the Marquess of Erylleon.”

I wanted to go home quickly, so I stepped outside, pretending not to hear whatever those two were chatting about.

Just as I was about to climb into the carriage, someone called out behind me.

“Lady Selene!”

“Yes?”

Elloe came rushing over and clung to my arm.

“It must be fate that we met today. Let’s go have tea together!”

I gave an awkward smile and gently tried to pull my arm free.

“Ohoho… I actually had tea before I came out.”

Then Viviana grabbed my other wrist.

“Then just come for dessert. I know an amazing place.”

“Goodness~ how perfect. Lady Viviana, you really do know all the best spots. You’re always so generous with your spending.”

Uh… Am I not going, though?

The two of them completely ignored my refusal.

To make matters worse, Madam Rimon suddenly said she had another engagement and disappeared with quick steps, leaving me in their care.

Before I knew it, I was being dragged away, one arm held by each of them.

They kept chatting as we walked.

“It seems like it’s your first time in the capital?”

“Ah, yes… I haven’t been here long. I just came up from the countryside…”

Worried that my transmigration might be discovered, I cautiously mentioned I was from a rural area and kept my answers short. But…

“Oh my! I’m from the countryside too! It’s so nice to meet someone from somewhere new!”

“I was born and raised in the capital. I’ll show you around.”

“If you were born and raised here, shouldn’t you stay where you belong instead of tagging along?”

“Lady Elloe, isn’t it already outrageous enough that you’re eyeing that residence? Why don’t you just stay at your own estate?”

The two women pulled me between them, glaring daggers at each other.

I just wanted to go home…

While being tugged around like a paper doll, a luxurious carriage adorned with golden ornaments pulled up beside us.

As soon as the door opened, a man stepped out with quiet dignity.

“Ah, so you were both here…”

“Tsk.”

Both women clicked their tongues and turned away, clearly annoyed. Huh, why? Who’s this guy?

“Please, get in.”

Without another word, both of them obediently stepped into the carriage at his prompt.

Wait, hold on…

Why me?!

Swept up in the chaos, I was practically shoved into the golden carriage right after them. In a panic, I shouted,

“I need to go home! At home, my rabbit-like…!”

But my desperate plea was drowned out by the soft rumble of the wheels as the carriage began to move.

After some time, I found myself sitting in an opulent reception room — so lavish, the word itself felt insufficient.

Across from me sat a breathtakingly handsome young man, his golden-blond hair shimmering like threads of sunlight.

“I didn’t expect to meet you like this, Lady Whedon.”

Yeah, me neither.

“I am Noelle Bradford, Crown Prince of the Empire.
