Humanity Chapter 4.2 - Secret Affair

“I don’t have a passport.”

“What?”

Han Jiwan, who had just followed Secretary Choi out, asked in a voice laced with disbelief. He looked as if he had never considered the possibility.

Yimyeong spoke toward Han Jiwan.

“I’ve never once been abroad. I’ve never even made a passport.”

The expression on Han Jiwan’s face was a sight to behold. It felt like Yimyeong had unintentionally landed a blow on the guy who only felt satisfied when he got his own way in everything.

“Isn’t it possible to get an emergency passport issued?”

Secretary Choi added. However, Han Jiwan cut him off.

“That won’t work. I’ve tried. They’re really strict about the circumstances.”

“……”

“And he has an issue.”

Han Jiwan said “he” and gestured toward Yimyeong with his chin.

Yimyeong knew exactly what he was talking about. According to the newly changed law, Omegas or Alphas were required to have that characteristic listed on their passport, just like their gender. If Yimyeong did not reveal that he was an Omega, it would be considered forgery of a public document.

“Do you perhaps have any disqualifying factors?”

Secretary Choi asked. He had an expression as if he were looking at a criminal. Finding it ridiculous that a man who assisted a gangster family was acting this way, Yimyeong nodded his head without much sincerity. Secretary Choi’s face showed his dismay.

“Book the tickets for now, anyway. We’ll go if we find a way, and if not….”

As Han Jiwan spoke, Secretary Choi bowed his head and retreated.

After the sound of his footsteps faded far away on the first floor, Yimyeong opened his mouth.

“That’s unexpected.”

“What is?”

“My secret. I didn’t know you were keeping it.”

It was a simple impression, nothing particularly surprising or grateful.

Honestly, he had thought that Secretary Choi, being a close aide, would probably know. But surprisingly, Han Jiwan had kept his mouth properly shut. It didn’t feel like it was out of loyalty. It only felt like an extension of his pathetic possessiveness.

“When you leave this time, when are you coming back?”

Yimyeong asked.

“It won’t be long. There’s a time difference, so maybe about four nights and six days.”

“Four nights and six days?”

Although he didn’t understand it, Yimyeong roughly accepted it. He recalled Han Jiwan going on a business trip like this about two months ago. It seemed he wouldn’t hesitate to make a short trip abroad if there was something he absolutely had to acquire at an overseas auction.

Back then, he had been an animal with its ankles tied, helplessly being bred in captivity, but this time was a little different.

Rather than killing time meaninglessly, wouldn’t it be better to end it right now?

As he was thinking that, the words slipped out unconsciously.

“Until you get back… what do I do?”

“Hyung.”

Suddenly, Han Jiwan wrapped an arm around Yimyeong’s waist.

“I’ll come back quickly.”

It was the same softened voice he had been hearing frequently lately. Standing side by side overlooking the courtyard, with an arm wrapped around his shoulders, they looked just like a couple pretending to be lovers.

“…When you come back….”

What are you going to do. Before he could even say it, Han Jiwan prattled on by himself.

“Ah. Now that I think about it, is this the first time we’ve been apart for this long? When I get back and fuck you, your hole will feel brand new. Shit, I guess I’ll be chaste for six whole days too.”

Han Jiwan chuckled, keuk keuk, telling a joke that only he found funny. Yimyeong silently stared at Han Jiwan’s side profile before opening his mouth.

“Chaste?”

“Nearly a week can be considered chaste.”

“You have other men besides me, don’t you.”

“……”

“I guess you thought I didn’t know.”

Saying that, Yimyeong slowly unwound Han Jiwan’s arm from around his shoulder.

He didn’t want to have this conversation in the hallway anymore. This place was open all the way to the first floor through the courtyard, and this house, in particular, had too many listening ears. Yimyeong was not shameless enough to discuss such vulgar topics in a place like this.

It was just as he opened the door to enter the bedroom. Han Jiwan asked.

“Hyung, are you jealous?”

When he turned around, Han Jiwan looked pleased for some reason.

Yimyeong’s brow furrowed for a reason he couldn’t pinpoint. His unpredictable reaction was subtle.

“You’re saying I was jealous?”

“You were just jealous now.”

“What are you talking about.”

“Stop denying it. So shameless. Don’t worry about them.”

“Isn’t it because you’re sick of me?”

Yimyeong reached past Han Jiwan, who had followed him into the bedroom, and closed the bedroom door.

“You said three months was your limit.”

“Why would you say something like that, it’s hurtful.”

Yimyeong’s face hardened. Han Jiwan was grinning, but for some reason, his words didn’t seem like a joke.

“I thought you never got jealous, hyung. How could you not show it at all? You should have told me sooner.”

“……”

“The fact that you’re jealous really, truly… makes me so happy. Wow… should we really start dating?”

Han Jiwan pressed himself right up against Yimyeong and hugged him. He naturally reached a hand behind him and squeezed Yimyeong’s buttock tightly, then slapped it with a slap sound before brazenly rubbing between the cheeks of his ass in a crude manner.

“The reason you’re acting like this, it’s because you still… haven’t been able to do it, right. That place….”

That was the only reason. Han Jiwan was acting like this because he hadn’t been able to use the Omega’s hole he was so obsessed with.

“There you go saying hurtful things again.”

“…Ngh!”

“That was just a bonus. From the first moment I saw you, hyung, I wanted to pin you down.”

“……”

“If you weren’t special, I wouldn’t have savored you. You get it? If I just wanted to fuck in here, I would have done it and thrown you away long, long ago. Regardless of whether it tore or not.”

Saying that, Han Jiwan squeezed his buttock tightly again.

“How could I get sick of you, hyung. You have to live with me forever.”

It was a despairing statement that made the end, which he thought had come right before his nose, feel suddenly distant. Yimyeong bit down on his lip and spat out the words he had been holding back all the way in his throat.

“You said you’d be sick of me in three months!”

Han Jiwan had persuaded him to fall into this trap with those words. He shouldn’t have trusted this cunning bastard. A fiery anger he had forgotten about ignited inside Yimyeong’s body.

And only then, Han Jiwan’s gaze changed as he realized Yimyeong’s true intention.

“Why do you keep harping on about three months?”

“Three months is what you said. Yesterday was exactly the three-month mark. Whether it takes longer or not from here, there’s no reason for me to wait. So just tell me. How do I end this… keo-heok.”

Yimyeong staggered for a moment after taking Han Jiwan’s fist, which had slammed hard into his solar plexus. He had been hit squarely enough to momentarily cut off his breath.

“Ah… this is really pissing me off.”

Han Jiwan muttered. The moment he straightened up, Yimyeong threw a punch at Han Jiwan’s face with all his might. With a ppak! sound, his middle knuckle landed squarely on bone.

His lip split, Han Jiwan glared at Yimyeong as blood trickled down from the corner of his mouth. The area around the knife wound on his cheek, which the doctor had painstakingly stitched up, turned red like a flush.

“You fucking male prostitute.”

Han Jiwan’s curse was not the least bit threatening. Yimyeong clenched his fist again.

“Count yourself lucky I didn’t hit you in the stomach. If I hit you where you were stabbed, you wouldn’t even be able to talk right now.”

“You seemed to have an aptitude for selling your body, but you were thinking of leaving? Since when?”

“That’s not something the guy who drugged and confined me should say.”

“Fuck, you’re going to backstab me like this?”

Han Jiwan wheezed, his face venomous with anger. He gasped for breath, leaning against the waist-high nightstand. Contrary to his fierce demeanor, his body swayed slightly. There was no way he could fight on equal terms with a body that had just been discharged from the hospital after surgery.

“Backstab? Don’t pretend you trusted me.”

“I did trust you.”

Han Jiwan growled in a furious voice. From Yimyeong’s perspective, it was just absurd. It was never a relationship of trust to begin with. Wasn’t it just a transaction? A low-quality transaction of buying and selling a body, at that.

It was already over. He didn’t need the money or anything. If Han Jiwan had no intention of letting him go, then he would just walk out on his own two feet. Even if the three months of humiliation became meaningless, he wanted to leave everything behind and go.

“Don’t resist. Not unless you want to be hospitalized again.”

“Fuck…”

“I have no intention of beating up someone who was just discharged. I’ll just neatly knock you out.”

Saying that, Yimyeong listened intently for any sound from the first floor. Even with this much of a commotion, the first floor was quiet.

If he could just knock Han Jiwan unconscious, he could somehow….

It was at that moment.

Thwack!

Yimyeong’s vision instantly went black.

An impact like being struck hard with a hammer landed on his head, followed by the terrible sound of glass shards crashing down and scattering in all directions. His forehead instantly grew hot and his vision turned red.

What was flowing down from his head and seeping into his eyes was none other than Yimyeong’s own blood.

“So stupid…. Hyung, you should have hit me in the stomach first.”

Han Jiwan, who had brought the ceramic vase from the nightstand straight down on Yimyeong’s head, was dusting off his hands and sneering.

As he collapsed to the floor, Yimyeong muttered.

Son of a bitch….

With that as his last thought, the lights went out before Yimyeong’s eyes.
