Possessor #2 Just Wants to Fangirl Chapter 140
Ki Hyeonmin in deep sleep was nothing short of a work of art! Hang him in a gallery under the title <Sleeping Beauty: The Crown Prince> and it would be perfect!
While admiring his graceful form, I gave myself a satisfied shrug.
‘The Incapacitation skill really is the ultimate multi-tool!’
It must provide such blissful sleep that Ki Hyeonmin went out of his way to borrow my BB gun just to try it. But once the pride faded, what came flooding in was heartache.
‘Hyeonmin, did you want to sleep that badly? My baby, are you sleep-deprived?’
For a regressor, even sleep is a luxury.
Ki Hyeonmin was so devoted to training that he only took brief naps, and even those were shallow enough that the slightest disturbance would snap his eyes open. He couldn’t let his guard down even while sleeping.
In the original, the first time Ki Hyeonmin truly slept was the first semester of sophomore year. It was only after Yeom Juwan had completed his explosive growth.
Only after he came to trust that Yeom Juwan could handle anything that arose while he slept did he finally allow himself a proper rest. And now….
‘He’s entrusted his sleep to Juwan again this time too?’
The moment I processed this new fact, I clamped my hand over my mouth and let out a dolphin-pitched squeal.
The thing I regretted most about possessing was the potential loss of my biases’ relationship dynamics. I’d worried that the narrative they were supposed to build brick by brick had been scrapped entirely—but apparently not.
‘Wait—the story has diverged this much, and Juwan is still Hyeonmin’s sleep guardian? This relationship transcends even the butterfly effect? Is that how it is? Are you two just destined for this?’
A devoted fan’s heart swelling with grandeur was only natural! While I was internally gushing with admiration at the bond between Yeom Juwan and Ki Hyeonmin that transcended time and space—
【Time limit expired. Viewing session terminated.】
The cruel notification window appeared, and I was yanked back to reality.
The skill had run out.
Those were the happiest twelve minutes of my life.
‘My deepest gratitude to the Goddess for her sublime wisdom in bestowing such a magnificent ability!’
I immediately pressed my palms together to offer thanks—but my conscience prickled a little.
Because the image of Ki Hyeonmin’s bare upper body, firm as a marble statue, had inserted itself uninvited into my mind. A beautiful solidity that no language could express. Viewing that without permission seemed dangerously close to criminal activity, no matter how you sliced it.
‘Isn’t this kind of sasaeng-fan behavior? But it’s not like I peeped on purpose…. And I can’t just not use a skill the Goddess went to the trouble of giving me, right?’
I spent quite a while after that agonizing over the proper balance between fangirling and felony. Only after extensive deliberation on how to wrap this ability in maximum good conscience did I arrive at a workable conclusion.

Yeon Sora’s Secret Crime Journal
*** Only crimes that save the world are forgiven ***
– Serial incapacitation (8 victims)
– DNA theft (mastermind, 6 victims)
– Thievery disguised as righteous robbery (11 victims)
– Privacy invasion (1 victim)
———————————
You know the saying—the road to hell is paved with good intentions? Then couldn’t the road to heaven be paved with crime?
I peeped into someone’s private life because it was possessor duty. Not out of some creepy sasaeng obsession, but as the responsibility of a possessor to stay informed about the direction this world is heading.
As proof: I had no intention of peeping at sleeping Ki Hyeonmin again. He’d just stay asleep like that for hours without a single movement, after all!
‘Phew….’
Having barely completed my self-rationalization, I continued performing my possessor duties. Meaning I also spied on Gyeon Junhwi, Yeom Juwan, and Han Boram.
Gyeon Junhwi was researching materials at the library, Yeom Juwan was training, and Boram was diligently crafting outfits for the fairy.
That was everything I could currently view. But the <I Was Taught to Watch the Good Stuff Big and Slow> skill also showed the past.
Just as I was about to access my babies’ pasts in the name of possessor duty, an unexpected window appeared.
【Your level is too low to view past time periods.】
A level restriction. Just like how the skill copier could only copy Yeom Juwan for now, it seemed I was limited to live viewing for the time being.
I was a little disappointed, but only for a moment.
‘It’s fine! There’s more than enough to watch!’
I still hadn’t gone through the two-nights-three-days footage I’d filmed with my babies during practicals. I needed to watch that and properly fangirl over it! And if I was going to catch live viewings starting tomorrow, I’d be busy, busy, busy!
A flood of plot bait that made my head spin.
Thank heavens the weekend starts today!

The next morning.
As promised, Yeom Juwan woke Ki Hyeonmin at exactly 9 AM. Unfortunately, Yeon Sora—who’d fallen asleep watching footage all night—missed this scene entirely.
“You up?”
“Thanks.”
“Can you check right away?”
“Of course.”
Juwan held out an unusual device to the just-woken, still-disheveled Ki Hyeonmin.
It was a measurement instrument loaned out by the academy.
A device that displayed numerous strike points on the screen for the user to hit with only their index finger, used for detailed analysis of combat-types’ accuracy, agility, power, muscle strength, and more.
[Measurement complete.]
[Detailed graph generated.]
[For more accurate results, please conduct multiple tests.]
Ki Hyeonmin ran three additional tests for precision, and Yeom Juwan watched the entire process with eyes full of anticipation.
“Results?”
“Hold on. Looking at them now.”
Yeon Sora believed Ki Hyeonmin and Yeom Juwan operated on mutual trust—but the truth was different.
These two weren’t together out of camaraderie or friendship. They were conducting an experiment from the shared perspective of having gone through the same experience.
Immediately after being hit by Yeon Sora’s Incapacitation skill, both had sensed changes in their bodies. Their growth rates were different from usual.
An ordinary cadet would have missed such a small difference, but these two trained daily and were sensitive to even the subtlest changes. And to confirm it, they’d borrowed Yeon Sora’s BB gun and were running an experiment.
“Just as we guessed. Accuracy increased 1.5 times, and muscle strength tripled. In my case, daily muscle strength growth rate had been 0.001, but today it’s 0.003….”
Yeom Juwan’s eyes widened at the results Ki Hyeonmin reported. The hypothesis was confirmed. Yeon Sora’s Incapacitation skill aided ability growth.
“It went up that much? Why?”
“Muscle strength doesn’t improve through exercise alone. You inflict micro-damage to muscle fibers, and they strengthen during the recovery process. Yeon Sora’s Incapacitation seems to have shortened the average 48-hour recovery time down to 10.”
“So we just need to use the Incapacitation skill?”
“It seems to only manifest with Yeon Sora’s Incapacitation skill specifically. I believe it’s because the skill activates at its maximum possible output.”
Once all the experimental data had been shared, Juwan hurriedly snatched up the toy gun.
“It’s my turn now, right? Wake me up in ten hours!”
An enthusiastic Yeom Juwan—this was unfamiliar territory for Ki Hyeonmin.
In every past life, Yeom Juwan had despised his own abilities and shown no interest in training.
‘Was this always his true nature?’
There was a reason Ki Hyeonmin had chosen Yeom Juwan as his test partner. While Yeon Sora and Gyeon Junhwi were people he’d met for the first time this cycle, this was his seventh encounter with Yeom Juwan.
Juwan had been tight-lipped in every past life. He wasn’t the type to scheme behind anyone’s back, and he’d always met his death by sacrificing himself.
Unlike the past, Juwan was now training with genuine enthusiasm this time around—but his fundamental character remained the same.
The only difference was….
“Oh, right! If Yeon Sora wanders off somewhere while I’m asleep, could I trouble you to keep an eye on her? The monitoring too, sorry.”
Along with those words, Yeom Juwan sent a document via DM.
A log recording Yeon Sora’s body temperature, daily food intake, meal times, and more. Ki Hyeonmin had been taking turns with Yeom Juwan monitoring Yeon Sora, and every time, all of this had to be recorded.
Juwan scratched his head sheepishly, looking apologetic.
“It’d be nice if Sora just stayed put, but… something tells me she’ll wander around.”
“I think so too. I’m used to it, don’t worry.”
“Then I’ll leave it to you.”
After Juwan left, Ki Hyeonmin sent Yeon Sora a DM asking her to contact him when she woke up.
Her reply didn’t come until past 2 PM. When he asked about her plans for the day, this was the answer:
|Yeon Sora| I was gonna go shopping with Boram?
|Ki Hyeonmin| I’ll come too.
|Yeon Sora| Really? Shopping???
He had no interest in shopping, but fulfilling his promise to Juwan meant tagging along. And so Ki Hyeonmin found himself dragged from store to store by Yeon Sora and Han Boram.
It was his seventh life, but his first time shopping. He thought it was a waste of time, yet even this yielded useful information.
“Hyeonmin, they say chamomile tea is really good for sleep!”
“This sleep mask completely blocks out light—apparently that helps you fall asleep!”
“And this is aromatherapy oil!!”
Everything Yeon Sora foisted onto Ki Hyeonmin was sleep-related.
This was an important clue.
‘She doesn’t know.’
When he’d asked to borrow the gun, she’d handed it over so readily that he’d assumed she’d seen the future and grasped his true intent. But that wasn’t the case.
While observing Yeon Sora’s behavior and collecting useful information here and there, something unusual occurred.
“Yeon Sora! Ki Hyeonmin! Han Boram! A gift for you guys!”
Several classmates approached and offered them drinks. Familiar faces—all cadets they’d met on the 2nd floor.
Yeon Sora accepted the gifts without hesitation, and a warm conversation flowed.
“Wow! Thanks! When did you guys even buy these?”
“We spotted you three over there, and you’re our saviors—of course we had to treat you!”
“Call it a bribe too! Think of it as a ‘please take care of us going forward’ kind of thing!”
This, too, was an unfamiliar experience for Ki Hyeonmin.
In every past life, the 2nd floor was where you built grudges. Everyone you met there invariably became an obstacle later. That was why Ki Hyeonmin had always cleared the 2nd floor while avoiding human contact as much as possible.
But… Yeon Sora’s approach was completely different. Going forward, they’d be climbing the Tower alongside people who were genuinely well-disposed toward them.
‘Securing the holy sword and the strategy of leaving only one test site—those are definitely save points.’
Ki Hyeonmin’s mind was automatically tagging save points. A habit ingrained from being a regressor.
‘Gyeon Junhwi must accompany us too.’
Until now, Ki Hyeonmin had questioned whether Gyeon Junhwi was truly necessary, but this practicals session had resolved that doubt. The man had proven himself exceptionally skilled at cleaning up after Yeon Sora’s reckless actions.
Even on the 2nd floor, all Yeon Sora had done was smash the test sites. The person who’d sculpted that act into a virtuous cycle was Gyeon Junhwi.
‘What else needs to be saved….’
He tried to tag the remaining save points, but it wasn’t easy.
During these practicals, Ki Hyeonmin had handed the steering wheel to Yeon Sora. He’d wanted to see what kind of path would emerge when the prophet took the lead. He’d limited himself to riding shotgun and observing.
Yeon Sora’s path was inefficient.
She seemed to have no interest in the practicals themselves. The moment she spotted Bang Haeun’s holy sword, she suddenly fixated on nothing else. She seemed to prioritize filming over finding the fairy.
He’d seriously considered more than once whether it was right to keep her at the wheel.
‘Far too impulsive.’
Yeon Sora had no interest in the highway. Whenever an exit caught her fancy while driving, she’d take it on a whim, meandering through strange back roads in circles.
But… the result?
Eighty-nine cadets had passed the practicals, and all of them were showing goodwill toward Ki Hyeonmin. An impossible path—yet the outcome was good.
Above all else…
‘On the path Yeon Sora takes, there are no corpses.’
Even this current atmosphere of peace was something foreign to Ki Hyeonmin. He would give this life his all, but he needed to prepare for failure.
If so, which of Yeon Sora’s actions should he preserve, and which should he correct? As he continued turning this over, a strange question rose from somewhere deep inside Ki Hyeonmin.
‘If I repeat it… would the same result come?’
Yeon Sora followed whatever path caught her eye on impulse. She’d likely react strongly to the small variables that shifted subtly with each regression.
Even if the same people were saved and the same places were visited—would Yeon Sora make the same choices in the next cycle?
He had no confidence.
‘Is it only this once?’
Yeon Sora’s path could never be repeated.
This, too, was an unfamiliar sensation for Ki Hyeonmin.

Weekends really are the best!
Saturday afternoon was an all-day shopping spree with Hyeonmin, and the evening was spent designing a fairy house with Boram. I had plenty of questions for the fairy too, but those were on hold until Gyeon Junhwi issued orders.
‘Lots to do this week.’
I needed to interrogate the fairy, lure out Bang Haeun’s parents to set a mastermind trap, uncover the Tower’s secrets, meet the mad scientist unnie, level up, and so on.
But all of that came after Gyeon Junhwi drew up the battle plan.
Next week was going to be intense, so let’s play our hearts out on Sunday!!!! …is what I was thinking when an ominous DM arrived.
|Broadcasting Club President| Yeon Sora! Our ace! Why didn’t you tell me! I heard something went down during your practicals?
A gag order had been issued on the 2nd floor practicals due to the ongoing investigations, but the Broadcasting Club president had sniffed it out somehow.
|Broadcasting Club President| Have you not checked the General Forum? Wild speculation is running rampant right now!
|Broadcasting Club President| Practicals results being put on hold is a first in history
|Broadcasting Club President| Something happened right? Something different? Shocking news? Don’t tell me… everyone got eliminated? One person took over everything? What is it?
|Broadcasting Club President| The time has finally come! Yeon Sora’s We’ll Tell You Everything Refreshingly, Part 5!!!
It seemed like…
Sunday was going to have to be sacrificed.
