Heavy Rain Chapter 3
With a tiny whim, Lyle turned his steps away from the bathroom and approached Haejin. He did so without knowing that Haejin was stiffening with tension at this unusual display of interest.
Before he had even taken two steps, Lyle regretted it. It was a bothersome task. Although Lyle had ordered it in the beginning, tying the Omega’s hands and putting on the blindfold were things prepared at the butler’s level. Thus, he had never once paid attention to Haejin’s state like this. All he needed was the pheromone interaction that was resolved by copulating with an Omega.
Irritably, he took two more steps and approached right in front of Haejin’s nose. Haejin’s white face, looking up as if in fear even though he couldn’t see, happened to face Lyle’s face head-on.
Black hair soaked in sweat was scattered messily near the blindfold. The small face was moist with sweat, shaking in a pitiable manner. Seeing Haejin properly for the first time in quite a while, Lyle thought reflexively.
Were those two eyes black like his hair?
When he impulsively reached for the blindfold, Haejin suddenly flinched in surprise and pulled his neck back. Like a person huddling up in expectation of being hit.
Thanks to that, Lyle clicked his tongue as he watched his own hand stop dead in mid-air. What was he doing.
Shifting his steps slightly, he roughly untied Haejin’s two arms that had been firmly bound. Strangely, he felt that his already poor temperament had become even more sensitive since a few days ago.
Even as he swept his hair back and headed toward the bathroom again, Haejin still did not move an inch. Looking at his shivering body, it seemed he was cold, yet he didn’t move; it was a strange thing.
“Jin. Since I’ve done this much for you, get lost quickly.”
“…”
At Lyle’s cold voice, Haejin struggled. However, because he had been handled roughly today as well, his legs did not move well. It was because he hadn’t been able to eat properly yesterday. To make matters worse, as if a heavy rain was about to fall again, his left leg—which had been injured in the accident—ached sharply.
Lyle called Haejin by whatever name he pleased. That was not some kind of affectionate nickname. When he first faced the contract, Lyle had been bothered by Haejin’s exotic name. Then, he continued indifferently, as if giving a name to an object.
‘It’s a bothersome name. I’ll just call you Jin.’
It was an attitude that there was no reason to go through the effort of pronouncing an unfamiliar style of name. In that first encounter with Lyle, Haejin felt as if something inside him was breaking. The name his adoptive parents had carefully given him was also smashed to pieces in this mansion.
At any rate, he had to move quickly now. For some reason, his employer hated to see him looking relieved today.
However, contrary to Haejin’s heart, his body acted of its own accord. His two arms were free, but as he moved his steps in a hurry, his knees buckled and gave way.
Lyle watched such a Haejin irritably. He was an Omega he used well because he was always obedient, but wasn’t his behavior quite slow today of all days? It would be bothersome if he used this as an excuse to demand something.
Then, he suddenly discovered that Haejin’s legs were convulsing incessantly. Only then did Lyle realize that his legs had given out from the tryst, and he immediately withdrew his interest. And he entered the shower room, following the same steps he had turned earlier.
For him, it was a long-lasting whim, truly the first in a very long time.

“That is all.”
“Get out.”
Lyle ordered without even looking at the secretary who had finished the report. The secretary, who assisted him from the closest proximity, quietly left the room as if such an attitude were familiar.
For a long time, the scratching sound of a pen echoed through the office. His two bright blue eyes did not leave the documents for a moment. The Vermouth family had originally operated a large corporation that dominated the economy, but since Lyle took the chairman’s seat, its size had expanded significantly.
Lyle, raising his head briefly, rubbed his brow neurotically. Only after his perfectly slicked-back blonde hair was slightly disarranged did he remove his hand from pressing on his brow. He self-mockingly thought that if this damn pheromone situation didn’t torment him, his work efficiency would be higher.
Tapping on the polished, giant black desk while enduring the pain, he suddenly recalled Haejin’s black hair. It was just a coincidence. He had used this desk for so long, yet it was an unusual flow of thought to finally think of it once now.
The white face and white body, contrasting with the black hair, suddenly popped out of their own accord and then changed into that pathetic appearance from yesterday.
“…”
Although he was wielding him through a contract, he had no intention of giving him more humiliation than necessary. Of course, an ordinary person would think this when tying the other person’s arms because holding them was bothersome, but unfortunately, Lyle was not such an ordinary person.
From the moment he was born, he was the sole heir to the Vermouth family. After his parents passed away early after being caught up in a certain incident, he was the young master who kept his position despite fierce attacks from the branch families. Lyle’s ability was so outstanding that even the relatives who initially tried to take his place blindly eventually had no choice but to bow their heads.
Some even made jokes that Lyle would have come out ordering bathwater to be prepared the moment he was born. Everyone said he was a human suited for the trait of a Dominant Alpha, but Lyle did not think so. Because he would have seized this position whether he was an Omega or a Beta.
As he tapped on the black desk again, Lyle recalled that Haejin’s two eyes were the same black color as his hair. And also the fact that it had been a very long time since he had seen Haejin’s bare face.
Until now, he hadn’t cared what Haejin did after his business was finished. Had he not seen that pathetically crumpled appearance yesterday, or had the guy not been so thin that his hip bones could be felt every time he swung his hips, this indifference would have continued.
By the way, had the butler been the one cleaning up that state all this time?
Recalling this fact, Lyle flinched for a moment. The finger that was tapping the desk also came to a dead stop. An inexplicable sentiment spread through his chest like thin smoke.
Since his legs had given out and he couldn’t move at all, the butler must have seen that explicit state. No, the butler would have handled himself appropriately. So that no useless complaints, like feelings of shame, would come out.
The thoughts continued once again. The tapping of his finger, which had cut off, also continued. Lyle continued his thoughts without even being conscious of the fact that he had momentarily stopped. Before he knew it, a deep furrow was carved between his brows.
But why is that guy so thin?
It was a relationship where they mingled bodies at least once every two days. No matter how much he disliked Omegas, Lyle had no choice but to know Haejin’s body well. Even in a desolate relationship where he only used him in a face-down position rather than facing him every time.
A slender waist that was almost half-covered by one hand suddenly tore through his thoughts and popped out. Also the hips that were so thin that a rough counter-force could be felt when he swung his hips.
Come to think of it, among the Omegas he had contracted with, Haejin belonged to a very peculiar group. For one, the fact that he had endured in his mansion for as long as five years was like that. This was because Omegas with strong pride could not endure this kind of treatment from Lyle. No matter how much they were in need of money.
In contrast, Haejin was a useful contract partner. Especially the point that he had never even seen Haejin’s face except when he was needed. Among the Omegas who responded to such a humiliating contract, there were those who came with the purpose of craving a different kind of interest from Lyle. Therefore, Haejin’s value—someone whose face was hard to see unless it was time for pheromone discharge—shone even brighter.
But to become that thin while living in his mansion. An unexplainable unpleasantness dyed his chest a bit more deeply. Lyle did not want rumors that the Vermouth family was even persecuting a guest they were halfway detaining. Regardless of the truth, it wouldn’t help his reputation.
Picking up his pen again, Lyle thought lightly that he should once again remind Haejin of the contract details regarding body management. He didn’t know with what thought the guy was being so neglectful in fulfilling the contract, but it was none of Lyle’s business. Because the important thing was that he liked a relationship like right now, where there was no reason to face each other.
