<Episode 47>
Spade Joker departed for Thailand.
Even so, preparations for their activities had to continue.
“Sir. The music video storyboard and scenario are ready.”
“Already?”
“The director said he worked really hard on it.”
I expected the scenario to come out quickly, but I hadn’t imagined the storyboard would be finished as well.
‘He must’ve really put in a lot of effort.’
I checked the scenario first.
[#S1. Hotel Room.
Kang Woojin slowly walks toward Leejoo, who is tied to a chair.
Kang Woojin: (handing over documents) Where are your brothers?
The moment Leejoo turns his head, fade out.
The song begins.
#S2. Casino.
Amid dazzling lights and various people, Cain, Heeseo, and Juseok are seated.
Each of them is enjoying a game. Then Heeseo lightly signals to Cain with her eyes.
After winning big at a card game, Cain stands up.
Seeing this, Juseok gives up his game and walks off somewhere with a smile.
#S3. Hotel Bar.
Juseok quietly sits beside Cain, who is drinking at the bar.
Cain takes out a note from his pocket, places it on the table, and soon leaves.
Juseok carefully unfolds the paper.
[Leejoo kidnapped.]
Juseok’s expression hardens.
Zen, who is making cocktails at the bar, watches Juseok’s face and bites her lip.
#S4. Hotel Lobby.
As Kang Woojin exits the room, Sora, dressed as a hotel staff member, greets him.
Kang Woojin pats Sora on the shoulder and gives him a tip.
After Kang Woojin disappears, Sora throws the money on the floor and checks the closed hotel room number.]
It was better than expected.
Whenever dialogue was needed, they replaced it with props instead. Thanks to that, as long as the direction and facial acting held up, it likely wouldn’t come off as cringeworthy.
‘He said it was his first time directing a music video… but it looks like Kang Woojin wasn’t lying about him being skilled.’
I checked the storyboard as well.
It was detailed enough that it felt like reading a comic.
‘This might turn out even better than I expected.’
“Shall we proceed as it is?”
“Yeah, I think it’s fine. No issues on Spade Joker’s side?”
“None. They departed quietly without any problems.”
We had deliberately not announced Spade Joker’s departure.
We didn’t have proper security prepared yet, and their manager, Kim Jawook, was also taking idols abroad for the first time.
At the moment, our company’s ability to respond to sudden incidents was close to zero.
‘If something happens at a time like this, all the good image we’ve built will collapse instantly.’
Was it the fourth timeline?
There had once been an idol group that got heavily criticized for excessive security at the airport.
I still remember the comments word for word.
[What, are celebrities royalty? Why are they blocking other people from boarding? What if someone misses their flight? And why are the guards pushing people when no one even touched them?]
Something like that had to be avoided at all costs.
“Let’s keep the arrival quiet, too. I feel bad for the fans, but making a scene at the airport doesn’t do any good.”
“Yes. But since news of their departure already spread on SNS, it might be hard to keep it completely quiet like before.”
“Then prepare proper security. And make sure both the guards and the security company understand… no pushing people or getting aggressive. Don’t let others suffer because of Spade Joker.”
“Understood.”
“And since the departure photos are already out, release an article saying they left for reality show filming. People will find out soon anyway.”

[??? I just saw Spade Joker at the airport. I rubbed my eyes several times, thinking I was seeing things. (Photo of them walking at the airport.)]
↳ ??? What?
↳ There’s a camera, so it’s not like they’re going on vacation.
↳↳ A variety show? But their promotions ended, why a show now?
↳ This isn’t edited, right?
[I saw them too. Looked like filming. They were super excited, like students going on a school trip. (Photo of them eating burgers at the airport.)]
↳ Why do their faces look so small? The burger looks huge.
↳↳ Was the burger always that small?
↳↳ Wow, the size difference is insane.
↳ Guess this proves the airport sighting wasn’t fake. So where are they going?
↳ I checked the official schedule, nothing there…
[Guys, article’s out! “Spade Joker departs for Bangkok to film reality show.” (Screenshot)]
↳ Wow, a reality show?
↳ It’s their first flight ever! They’d better share stories later.
↳ I’m already excited.
↳ This is crazy!
↳ But why didn’t they update the schedule? I wish I had seen them at the airport.
↳↳ Maybe they forgot? They used to mess up like that before, but not recently.
[I thought the agency messed up since it was their first overseas schedule, but apparently not. The article says: “Ramos Entertainment understands fans’ feelings but chose a quiet departure to avoid inconvenience to other passengers.” Is it okay for them to suddenly become this thoughtful? I’m even questioning if this is the same person I knew before.]
↳ Oh, so that’s why.
↳ People are saying John Raid Lombardi might actually have a twin.
↳↳ LOL sounds like drama.
↳↳ Honestly, he feels like a completely different person.
↳↳↳ That last part hurts because it’s true.
↳ I’m sad I couldn’t see them off, but I understand.
↳ Guess we should respect the agency’s decision.
↳ This might actually be the smart move.
↳↳ Let’s not wait at airports anymore.
↳↳↳ Please. Let’s follow the agency’s lead.

For Spade Joker, boarding a plane for the first time in their lives was overwhelming.
They couldn’t stop looking around in wonder.
“This place is just… amazing.”
“PD-nim.”
“Yes?”
“Do we get in-flight meals?”
“Of course.”
At Producer Yoo’s answer, the members cheered silently.
“Better eat a lot while you can. Just in case.”
There was clearly something behind his words, but none of the members noticed.
They were too excited about traveling abroad.
And since they hadn’t experienced variety shows much yet, they didn’t fully understand how filming worked.
“By the way, will we have free time?”
“Free time?”
“Yes.”
“Do you need it?”
There wasn’t any scheduled, but if they wanted, he could adjust things a bit.
“We want to buy souvenirs.”
“Ah, there will be time set aside for that.”
Sora smiled in relief.
“For your families?”
“Yes. And for the company staff too.”
“For the staff?”
Producer Yoo looked surprised.
He had worked with many idol groups before, but none had ever mentioned buying gifts for their company staff.
“They worked overtime every day to help us. And during the company dinner, they congratulated us, saying they were proud of us. And the CEO even sent snacks for fans at the fan signing and took care of us in detail.”
“But they weren’t like that before. Usually, idols complain if the company changes too late.”
At that, Leejoo quickly waved his hands.
“Because of them, we didn’t disband and even got first place. And they’ve been consistently taking care of us now. We can’t just complain.”
“Leejoo’s right. And I think the CEO had a hard time too. Secretary Han always told us he wasn’t originally like that… just going through a long, rough patch.”
“That’s why he stayed by his side. So I don’t think he did it on purpose. He sincerely apologized too. So we want to focus on the future.”
Producer Yoo found himself liking them on a human level.
With them, he felt confident he wouldn’t have to worry about accidents during filming.
‘Maybe I should work with Spade Joker again on my next program.’
