Desire Me If You Can Chapter 18
There was one thing he had gained. The fact that the person he was looking for was a woman. He couldn’t remember anything else, but one thing was certain: before he collapsed, he had seen an incredibly magnificent chest. Unfortunately, he couldn’t recall the shape or size of it at all.
The problem was how to find her. Extreme Omegas could hide their pheromones entirely, so they often posed as Betas. But if she released her pheromones and revealed her identity, Grayson would just go into shock and pass out again. Then, the same result would repeat.
Hah. After letting out a deep breath, he violently ruffled his hair. He had tried to stay relaxed, but having missed her twice right before his eyes, he couldn’t afford to be patient anymore. He had to find her. Quickly. But there was something more important than that.
What should I do so I don’t lose her again?
No answer came to mind. As he twisted his face in annoyance, something flashed through his head.
That’s right, if it’s him…!
Grayson immediately increased the speed of his car. The supercar sliced through the darkness, racing along the empty road.

“Darling.”
Tip-tap-tap.
As he entered the house, his cat came out to greet him as if it had been waiting. Dane, who had willingly scooped the creature up, stroked its body softly and kissed the cat on the bridge of its nose. The cat in his arms rubbed its face against his chest as if about to start purring at any moment, bumping its small, cold nose against him.
“Wait a second, I’ll refill your water.”
As if Darling actually understood, it swished its tail and let out a short “meow.” Leaving the cat to climb naturally onto his shoulder, Dane began his post-arrival routine. After cleaning the litter box and changing the cat’s water, he gave it a treat, and the satisfied cat began a clumsy grooming session. After giving the cat a light pat on the rump, Dane headed to the bathroom. Now, it was his time.
“Phew.”
After finishing his shower, he sat on the sofa drinking a beer, and Darling approached as if on cue. The cat, which he had rescued from a fire scene, was blind in one eye and deaf. Even so, wherever Dane was, it would always find him and lean its body against him like this.
Dane habitually lifted the cat that was rubbing against his legs and meowing, placing it on his lap. Slowly stroking the cat as it settled in comfortably, he drifted into a relaxed state of rest.
Suddenly, the absurd mishap from a few hours ago came to mind.
That bastard is looking for me?
Could he really have figured out that he was knocked unconscious by pheromone shock? He had never been caught like that before.
Things had gotten complicated. If he had known in advance, he wouldn’t have used his pheromones today. Ugh, Dane groaned.
“Why the hell does the crazy bastard have to stand there watching?”
He cursed, but it didn’t change anything. The chances of Miller remembering Dane when he opened his eyes were fifty-fifty. If he found out…
Tsk. Dane clicked his tongue briefly and thought with annoyance. If that happened, he could just leave for another state. There were plenty of places to go, and he was always ready to move. With just one trunk and one cage for Darling, he could go anywhere with his old car packed with just those two things.
“Shall we go to sleep, Darling?”
When he stood up, lifting the cat that had been on his thighs, the cat rubbed its head against Dane’s face as if waiting for it. He headed to the bedroom, taking the stairs two or three at a time. As always, Darling settled down beside Dane, and the two soon fell into a deep sleep.

Keith Knight Pittman was not in a very good mood. Anyone would react the same way if they were forced to welcome an uninvited guest who had burst in and shattered the silence of the mansion while they were in the middle of a sound sleep. Exuding an unpleasant pheromone scent from his entire body, Keith glared at the man sitting across from him in the parlor, his face deeply furrowed.
“Grayson Miller, do you have any idea what time it is?”
“2:00 AM.”
Grayson answered shamelessly and immediately. Keith’s eyebrows twitched significantly once, but he soon closed his eyes and rubbed his forehead with a sigh.
“So, what’s the reason for coming at this hour? I was sleeping.”
At this point, it would be normal for Grayson to be smirking and talking nonsense—for example, saying the weather was nice or that he suddenly thought of Keith.
But today, he was different. The proof was his coldly rigid face, above all else. That Grayson, who always wore a fake smile, was revealing his true face like this was not a very good sign.
“I have something I want to know.”
“Speak. And get lost quickly.”
The last words came out as if they were spat out. It sounded as if Keith were grinding his teeth, but Grayson ignored it and asked.
“Do you know how to find an Extreme Omega?”
“What?”
Keith’s forehead deepened with wrinkles. Grayson brushed his hair back with impatience, feeling the gaze of Keith, who looked at him as if wondering what nonsense he was spouting by showing up in the middle of the night.
“You’re the only one I can ask. So tell me, you know, right?”
The commonality between Keith and Grayson was that they both had the same lineage from the person who birthed them. It meant that, like the person Grayson was looking for, they were Extreme Omegas. However, the only one who could answer the question Grayson had now was Angel, the Extreme Omega who gave birth to Keith. Unlike Koi, Angel frequently disappeared, and his Extreme Alphas, including Keith’s father, would always find him and drag him back.
Until now, such behavior was just an interesting spectacle to Grayson. Because, after all, it was someone else’s business. But this time, it was different. Once he was in that position himself, the anxiety was beyond words.
Watching such a Grayson, Keith answered with a still-furrowed face.
“There is no such thing.”
The color drained from Grayson’s face. Keith, having ruthlessly crushed his only hope, asked sarcastically. His personality wasn’t great to begin with, but since he was in a terrible mood, his words were even less filtered.
“If you have a brain, why don’t you think? If such a thing existed, why would my fathers have to go through all that trouble?”
It was such a correct statement that there was no room for rebuttal. It was the only plan he had been able to think of, and upon learning that it was a futile effort, Grayson felt lost for the first time. Seeing him close his eyes and tilt his head back, letting out a seething sigh, Keith added after a pause.
“As you know, when an Extreme Omega gets excited while having sex, a spot appears above their pelvis.”
Grayson looked at him at the slow, drawling tone. Why didn’t I think to look for that?
No, even if he had looked, he wouldn’t have remembered. Because all that remained in his head was the fact that her chest was absolutely ecstatic. Grayson barely swallowed back the seething sigh that came out on its own.
“Is there no way to induce a heat cycle in an Extreme Omega?”
In any case, Keith was the only one he could get information from. At Grayson’s question, Keith chuckled and asked back.
“You need five Extreme Alphas. Do you think you’re capable of that?”
Grayson furrowed his brows and kept his mouth shut, but Keith was indifferent.
“Now you know why Angel has five Extreme Alphas.”
“Haa.”
This time, he couldn’t hold back the sigh. Grayson, who had been rubbing his forehead as if he had a headache, muttered as if to himself.
“No choice. I have no choice but to have sex and find out.”
“That’s not a bad method.”
Keith also agreed. Isn’t sleeping with just anyone the very thing Grayson has been doing all along? It might be killing two birds with one stone, as he could vent his pheromones and find the partner at the same time.
“That was very helpful, thank you.”
As Grayson stood up readily and said his goodbyes, Keith grumbled with a scowling face.
“Don’t ever come uninvited again, it’s a huge nuisance.”
Even though he said this, Keith knew well. If he had business again next time, Grayson would barge in like this whenever he wanted. Sure enough, instead of saying he would, Grayson just narrowed his eyes, looked at him with a mysterious smile, and left.
Standing by the window, watching Grayson’s car leave the mansion, Keith thought. Should I just move to the East?
