Deflower Me If You Can Chapter 24
“Huh? Are you sick? You barely ate either—so your body really isn’t feeling well, is it?”
“What?”
It’s because of the stress you’re causing me, you little…
Anger surged up, but it wasn’t entirely wrong. On top of that, his already heavy head from the hangover was throbbing even more. And the faint ache in that unspeakable place as well.
Just as he thought, If I could just get rid of this brat, something suddenly flashed through his mind.
Wait a minute.
Bliss was still looking up at him with a worried face. The very culprit behind all this, acting as if he had absolutely no idea.
But there was a way out. After all, this little squirt was just a little squirt.
“Well, a bit.”
Cassian deliberately spoke in a more exhausted voice, pressing one hand to his forehead.
“Maybe because I didn’t sleep well, I’m not in great shape.”
“I knew it!”
Bliss exclaimed, as if he’d known it all along. Seizing the opportunity, Cassian gave a wry smile and asked.
“So, about that, Bliss. Since I need to rest today, can you play by yourself? Is that okay?”
“Oh…”
Bliss blinked blankly, as if caught off guard. Naturally. He must have been expecting that today, of all days, he’d get to play with him.
But Cassian had absolutely no intention of doing that. Maybe there had been a tiny bit of willingness before, but now it was gone without a trace. He just wanted to get rid of this annoying brat and lie in bed sleeping until late.
“Mmm…”
Cassian quickly closed his eyes, put on a pained expression, and pressed his forehead. Seeing that, Bliss was startled and urgently nodded.
“Yeah, okay. Cassian, go rest quickly. You’re going to lie down in bed, right? I’ll take you there—let’s get you to bed!”
Bliss hurriedly ran over, jumped up, and grabbed Cassian’s hand. Cassian had to lean his body heavily in the direction the child was pulling, but he didn’t mind. Dragging the staggering Cassian, Bliss diligently crossed the long hallway to his room and, once again, stood on tiptoe to grab the doorknob.
“Hurry up and lie down, quick.”
The child insisted on taking Cassian to the bed, laying him down, and pulling the sheet up over his shoulders before finally looking at his face.
“If you sleep well, you’ll get better soon.”
“Okay, thank you, Bliss.”
Saying it with the implied meaning of ‘Now leave,’ the child nodded and turned away as desired.
“Oh, wait.”
The little guy, having reached the door, suddenly stopped and turned around. Of course he wouldn’t go on the first try. Cassian thought inwardly and forced a smile.
“Yeah, what is it?”
At Cassian’s question, Bliss hesitated with an “Um…” and then carefully asked.
“Is Cassian sick with a cold right now?”
“Oh…”
Stumped by the unexpected question for a moment, he quickly smiled and nodded. After all, he probably didn’t even know what a hangover was. Calling it a cold was convenient for making excuses, so this worked out well.
“That’s right, so you can’t come here. It’d be bad if the virus spread.”
“Okay, I understand.”
Bliss nodded obediently.
“Then get plenty of rest, Cassian.”
Waving one hand in a goodbye, the child finally opened the door and went out. Just before closing it, for some reason, the bright smiling face aimed at Cassian lying in bed felt ominous, but thankfully the door closed without incident.
Phew. Lying in bed, Cassian let out a sigh, finally relaxing in the newfound peace and stretching. He planned to stay in his room all day. No more disasters, thank you.
To be precise, no more ‘Bliss Miller.’
Correcting himself inwardly, Cassian rejoiced in the peace he hadn’t had in a while and closed his eyes. He’d never realized how precious quiet rest could be. A wild, noisy vacation? No, this kind of peaceful nothingness was the best.
Fatigue suddenly washed over him. He’d been up all night drinking and partying, so it was only natural. Maybe he’d sleep in and go out again at night. The car he’d taken yesterday should be back by now…
For the past few days, Cassian had been barely managing to enjoy a proper vacation. He’d gone fishing with his friend all day, hung out with women he’d just met at the club, and was planning to stay up all night with his friends around a campfire, drinking and jumping into the lake.
This is what a vacation spot should be.
A faint smile touching his lips, he had just drifted off to sleep at some point.
Creeeak…
With an ominous sound, the door to his room slowly opened, and a small lump crept stealthily inside.

Hah, hah.
His breathing was strangely labored. Cassian frowned and repeated deep breaths. What is it? Why is this happening again? I’ve definitely felt this sensation before. This, this is definitely…
The moment he snapped his eyes open, he was momentarily bewildered. Déjà vu? Or am I dreaming right now? Still unable to distinguish reality, Cassian just blinked. And no wonder—on his chest, yet again, a round-faced child was perched, looking down at him.
“…Bliss?”
As he muttered in disbelief, Bliss suddenly pulled something out. Before Cassian could even ask what he was doing, the child shoved it straight into his mouth without warning. As his speech was momentarily cut off with a “Mmph,” Bliss declared triumphantly.
“Patient, don’t move!”
For a moment, Cassian was frozen, completely speechless.
What in the world is this idiotic situation…
“Wait, don’t talk with the thermometer in your mouth! I’ll take care of everything myself, so you have to trust and follow the doctor’s orders.”
The child spoke with a remarkably grave demeanor, but what was actually stuck in Cassian’s mouth was a stick-shaped cookie. The sweet and salty taste in his mouth was absurd enough, but Bliss went even further, placing his hand on his own forehead and nodding.
“No fever. I’ll give you some antipyretic.”
What’s the point of sticking a thermometer in and then feeling the forehead with your hand? And why give antipyretic when there’s no fever? In the end, Cassian couldn’t stand this ridiculous situation, shot up, and shouted.
“What on earth are you doing now?”
“Whoa!”
The same situation as this morning unfolded. The difference this time was that he managed to catch Bliss, who had tumbled off his body and was about to roll onto the bed again, just in time.
“What exactly are you doing right now? I told you not to come in because I had a cold, didn’t I?”
Sitting the child up straight and immediately pressing him, Cassian was met with Bliss’s unflinching reply.
“That’s why I came in. To make you better.”
Before he could even say ‘Who do you think you are?’, Bliss beamed and shouted excitedly.
“This is my first time seeing someone with a cold! I’ve always wanted to do this. Take their temperature, give them medicine.”
In that instant, Cassian realized he had made a grave mistake. Ultra-alphas don’t catch colds. And the Miller family, except for one person, were all ultra-alphas. In other words, he was now the first ‘human with a cold’ Bliss had ever seen in his life.
“Hah… ah…”
A deep sigh sputtered out in fragments. Bliss was hopping around on the bed excitedly, chattering about giving medicine, bringing water. In the end, Cassian’s plan to somehow get through the day fell apart pathetically, and hearing Bliss shouting that he needed to administer a suppository, he simply escaped into sleep.

He woke to a cold sensation touching his forehead. Opening his eyes, there was, as expected, that round face right in front of him. Now thoroughly tired of this endlessly repeated situation, Cassian asked in a weary voice.
“What are you doing now?”
“I put a wet towel on your forehead to bring down the fever.”
Bliss patted the wet towel he’d placed on Cassian’s forehead and smiled proudly. The effort was commendable, but the water dripping from the unwrung towel had thoroughly soaked not only his forehead but also his hair and the pillow. Finally, with a “Phew,” Cassian sighed and sat up. Bliss asked in surprise.
“Are you okay? Are you all better? You’re supposed to stay in bed for a whole day!”
“No, it’s fine. I’m all better. Thank you.”
As he mechanically recited the predetermined responses in order, Bliss tilted his head as if half-doubting.
“Now, please just…”
“I brought soup!”
Just as he was about to tell him to leave, Bliss suddenly shouted and jumped off the bed.
