I Ran Away And The Reverse Harem Started Chapter 89
“It’s really suspicious. Angela was sneaking around in front of my room, acting like she was up to something.”
Night had fallen again.
After finishing my evening chores and dinner, I made my way to Angie and Mika’s room.
Marie had already fallen asleep early, but I couldn’t stop thinking about what had happened earlier that day.
Marie told me not to worry… but how can I not? Angela and I have argued too many times before.
Besides, Angela was already under probation and about to be fired.
It was only natural that she still resented me.
Angie and Mika sat across from me, nodding as if they understood my concerns.
But from their expressions, they also seemed to think I was worrying too much.
They tried to reassure me.
“Honestly, it was Miriam who did most of the dirty work. Angela was always more passive. I want to tell you not to worry, but… I get why it would bother you.”
“Yeah, you never know. I don’t think Angela is that cruel, but…”
It seemed like the two of them had known Angela longer than I had.
Unlike Miriam, who openly tormented other maids, Angela had always stayed in the background, making sure things worked in her favor.
I wished I was just overreacting.
Letting out a sigh, I mumbled, “Maybe I’m just being too sensitive. Maybe she was just bored from being stuck in her room all the time and decided to wander around…”
“Hmm…”
Mika and Angie folded their arms, deep in thought.
They seemed to be carefully choosing their words, trying not to upset me.
In the end, I hesitated before telling them everything.
I told them about how Angela had tried to push me into the fountain in the indoor garden, only to be caught by Lucas.
And about how, on the night of the party, we got into a fight in a secluded area and were caught by Yvette Büllossen.
As they listened, their faces turned red with anger.
This was the first time they had heard about it.
Mika, unable to hold back, burst out in frustration.
“Wait, are you saying Angela got put on probation because she got caught attacking you? And it was an important guest who caught her?!”
“Oh my god, Rosieta! Why didn’t you tell us this before?”
“Well… it’s not exactly something to brag about…”
Feeling awkward, I fiddled with my glass of milk.
Mika ran her hands through her hair in frustration and let out a long sigh.
“So Angela probably blames you for everything. She might think it’s your fault she’s getting fired. She must be furious.”
“Mika’s right, Rosieta. I wasn’t sure at first, but after hearing all this… we can’t just ignore it.”
Then, as if something clicked, Mika suddenly gasped.
“Wait. Could it be that?”
“…That?”
“You know, that dirty trick Miriam and Angela used to pull when they wanted to get rid of new maids.”
“You think she’s doing that again?”
Angie frowned, as if she understood exactly what Mika was talking about.
I, on the other hand, was completely lost.
“Whenever a maid became a problem for Miriam and Angela, they always got rid of them the same way.”
“Got rid of them? What do you mean?”
Mika hesitated for a moment before shrugging.
“If you’re going to keep working here, you should know this.”
Then, she lowered her voice and said,
“They used to frame maids for stealing the master’s jewelry.”
“Wait, jewelry?!”
“They would lure their target into the toilette room, then call the head maid over and claim they caught her stealing and selling jewelry.”
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.
“But that’s a lie! Would the head maid really fire someone with no proof?!”
Mika crossed her arms and shook her head.
“They would make proof.”
“That’s…”
“While Miriam put on a dramatic show in front of the head maid, Angela would sneak into the target’s room and plant stolen jewelry under their bed.”
“Mika’s right. So many maids were kicked out that way.”
Angie’s expression darkened.
“At first, we actually believed those maids were thieves. But just a few months before you arrived, Miriam and Angela finally got caught.”
Apparently, one day, while Miriam was falsely accusing a maid in front of the head maid, Mika had caught Angela sneaking into the victim’s room to hide stolen jewelry.
And that was just one time.
All the other “thieves” who had been kicked out before?
Angela and Miriam had framed every single one of them.
“And when we tried to tell the head maid, Miriam threatened us—said we’d be next. And Angela just stayed silent, letting Miriam do all the dirty work.”
“So we had no choice but to keep quiet. But things have been peaceful these last few months…”
Mika scowled, looking frustrated.
“I should have spoken up back then, even if it meant losing my job. But it’s too late now. Those two were careful—they erased all the evidence. We missed our chance to stop them.”
Angie’s face was just as troubled.
I hesitated for a moment before reaching out and taking their hands.
“Please, don’t blame yourselves, Mika, Angie. You did what you had to do to survive.”
In the end, the real villains were Miriam and Angela.
They had manipulated, threatened, and driven out innocent people for years.
I hadn’t realized it before, but there was a clear hierarchy among the maids here.
Even Mika and Angie, who had been here for a long time, hadn’t been able to speak up.
I guess when your entire livelihood depends on your job, it’s not so easy to stand up to people like Miriam…
As I glanced between the two of them, now looking small and defeated, I let out a quiet sigh.

The next day, Angela woke up in high spirits.
Nearly two weeks had passed at the summer villa.
Soon, the masters would return to the capital, and she would be fired immediately—but her steps felt lighter than ever.
“Today’s the day. The day Rosieta gets kicked out!”
Feeling no guilt whatsoever, Angela headed to the kitchen.
She took a wooden cup and poured in the finely ground herbs, then added milk on top.
Just as she finished, Rosieta and her friends walked in after completing their morning chores.
Angela checked the cup.
The dark green powder had completely dissolved into the milk, leaving no trace behind—just as the herbalist had promised.
“Perfect.”
“Angela? What are you doing?”
Rosieta’s cheerful voice rang out from behind her.
Angela nearly snorted at the sound.
“What do you think I’m doing? I’m preparing to ruin you.”
She could barely stand that phony, innocent act.
Angela had only ever followed Miriam’s orders—never once had she deliberately bullied anyone.
And what she was doing now?
This wasn’t cruelty.
This was revenge for being wrongfully blamed and thrown away.
Pushing aside her wicked thoughts, Angela turned around with a sweet smile.
“Hey there! Just got back from work? You look hot.”
“Yeah, we’re going to rest a little. The sun is so strong today.”
Behind Rosieta, Marie, Mika, and Angie exchanged uneasy glances.
Marie, who knew what had happened between Rosieta and Angela, frowned.
“Why are they acting like everything is normal?”
Angela was one thing—but just yesterday, Rosieta had been deeply suspicious of her.
And yet now, she was casually chatting with Angela like nothing had happened.
Mika nudged Angie, silently asking What’s going on?
But Angie, just as confused, shook her head.
Meanwhile, Angela silently mocked Rosieta.
“Did she find out I’m leaving soon? Is that why she’s acting nice? What a creepy, two-faced girl… Let’s see how long you can keep that smile on your face.”
Still smiling, Angela offered Rosieta the cup of milk.
“You look exhausted. Here, drink this.”
“For me? Aren’t you going to drink it yourself?”
“I can just pour another one. You look like you need it more. Working must’ve been really tiring.”
Angela beamed warmly, acting as kind as she could.
