Waiting For Your Reincarnation Chapter 114
Yeon-young called out to Saeri with an urgent touch and shook her shoulder several times. Saeri didn’t even stir, as if she’d lost consciousness for a moment.
Yeon-young breathed a sigh of relief that her form was still there. As she gripped her shoulders, Yeon-young was lost in thought.
‘Where should I take her?’
Saeri’s condition meant she should have gone straight to the emergency room, but everything had been destroyed by the Snarl’s invasion.
After a moment’s hesitation, Yeon-young clasped her bracelet and activated her teleportation.
The coordinates were in front of the chairman’s office on the seventh floor of the center.
She crossed the pillar of light and arrived at the chairman’s office to find Ryu Won there. He had stopped by to retrieve the materials he needed.
“Ms. Yeon-Young?”
He smiled broadly at Yeon-young’s unexpected appearance, but his smile quickly faded as he realized that she had found Saeri.
When Yeon-young asked for help with troubled eyes, he rushed to her side.
“What’s going on? What’s wrong with Saeri?”
“…I found the chairman.”
“Are you hurt?”
“I’m not hurt, but…, I think I’m having an annihilation situation like Idelia-san.”
“No, no. Not Saeri, but Yeon-young.”
Ryu Won didn’t pay any attention to the collapsed Saeri, only to Yeon-young. His white eyes, darting from top to bottom, were meticulous.
Yeon-young raised her arms and shrugged her shoulders to emphasize that she was unharmed.
His gaze, which had been clinging to her like a snake, dropped. After assessing the situation, he opened the door to the chairman’s office.
“Let’s go inside, there must be a spare room.”
Ryu Won used the wind to lift Saeri’s body with ease. Watching him do that, Yeon-young once again regretted that she wasn’t a physicalist.
Watching Ryu Won enter the chairman’s office, Yeon-young stopped in her tracks and stood there, calling out to Ryu Won.
“Mr. Ryu Won.”
“Yes, go ahead.”
“Please take care of the chairman here for a while. I’m going to go to the library.”
Hovering in midair, Saeri slowly descended onto the couch in the center of the chairman’s room.
Ryu Won put one arm on the doorframe and leaned in close to her.
She felt her face heat up slightly. She unconsciously grabbed his left cuff. Ryu Won’s smile deepened at the gesture. He asked in a low voice, “Ms. Yeon-young, have you ever been to the library? Don’t you know it’s dangerous in the library?”
Behind his soft laughter, she could see the concern in his eyes. He seemed to have noticed that she had been on edge from the moment she had been teleported here.
At his question, she shook her head horizontally.
“No, it’s not dangerous.”
“Didn’t we promise each other something?”
At Ryu Won’s words, Yeon-young slowly lifted her head from the floor.
A promise between them.
The night Ryu Won regained consciousness, they had made a promise. To believe and listen to each other, no matter what crazy things they say.
Ryu Won was referring to the promise they’d made then. He stroked Yeon-young’s jawline with a gentle touch.
“No matter what you say, I’ll listen, so don’t hide anything from me.”
“I don’t lie either. It’s really not dangerous.”
“Okay. One more thing. Is there any particular reason we have to go to the library right now?”
Yeon-young turned her gaze to look at Saeri lying on the couch. Ryu Won’s head naturally followed her gaze.
“I found my memories through the Chairman, and I was convinced of some pretty important things. For example…”
“Such as?”
“That I’m Iris, and you’re….”
Yeon-young opened her mouth to speak, then closed it again. It was better not to make guesses she wasn’t sure about.
As the name Iris slipped from her mouth, there was a moment of silence. She stared into his pure white eyes.
The sadness behind those glassy eyes was gone, replaced by joy.
Now, looking at his face, there was no mistaking whether he was crying or not.
Ryu Won had a beautiful, bright smile on his face.
“I also have a punishment that is not yet complete, and this must be my share of what you are referring to.”
Ryu Won cupped her cheek with his thumb without replying. Silence was affirmation.
Yeon-young stared at him intently, catching the unspoken meaning in his eyes.
“Mr. Ryu Won, I… I want to know more about us and this world, and my intuition tells me that the clue to this is in the library, so I’m going to go.”
“You’re only halfway there.”
“…I’m only halfway there?”
“Not far, okay, go ahead, I’ll keep an eye on the rookie.”
“I’ll be right back.”
“Ms. Yeon-young, wait.”
Yeon-young was about to activate the teleport when he grabbed her wrist. With a smirk on his face, Ryu Won tapped his index finger to his lips.
The gesture suddenly reminded Yeon-young of the first time she and Ryu Won had met here, when he had casually asked for a reward like this.
“You’re asking for a reward, aren’t you?”
“Ms. Yeon-young, when you give an order, it should come with a reward, so that you listen to it.”
“I’m asking for a favor.”
“Let’s call it a reward.”
He closed his eyes, as if to ask for a favor. The pupils of his eyes hid beneath his dense lashes.
She exhaled softly, trying not to make a sound.
This was a new one, but he was always good at taking chances.
With her index finger, she rubbed the tiny mole under Ryu Won’s right eye. She thought back to the night she’d spent with Ryu Won.
Just remembering the heated air made her breath tighten and her fingertips tremble. Every time his breath touched the nape of her neck, she felt her heart heat up.
Seeing the smooth upturned corner of his mouth gave her the conflicted desire to savor the moment once again.
After a moment’s hesitation, she tilted her head and pressed their lips together. At the same time, Ryu Won’s playfully closed eyes opened wide. Surprise flashed in his eyes, and heat suddenly radiated from them.
His hand clutched his chin. Ryu Won swallowed, his lips pursed as he intently studied Yeon-young’s reaction with his eyes open. Even with her eyes closed, she could feel his gaze on her, but she forced herself to look away.
Their lips locked, his heated flesh sliding between her moist lips and filling her mouth.
His tongue explored every nook and cranny of her, deep and secret. Her toes curled as the hot sensation touched the roof of her mouth, and she was so busy following his movements that she forgot to breathe.
When the heat finally met and mingled in her mouth, he let out a satisfied breath.
After following his movements for a while, Yeon-young gently pushed against his chest.
Suddenly, she realized she’d been doing this instead of going to the library.
Ryu Won smiled coyly and took her hand in his, holding it tightly. Finally, the seemingly eternal moment was over. He wiped his thumb across his chapped lips and gently released her hand.
“That’s nice.”
“…I was just going to give you a quick peck.”
“You’re the one who opened your mouth and took me in, Yeon-young.”
“Do you have to say that?”
“Don’t be ashamed of opening your heart because you love me.”
“I…, I can go now, right?”
Yeon-young’s eyes narrowed with suspicion; if she hadn’t come to her senses, she would have gotten herself into trouble here. Ryu Won smoothed out her clothes and nodded.
“I’ll keep an eye on her, so you can go.”
“Thanks, I’ll be right back, but if the chairman wakes up, please communicate with me immediately.”
“Okay.”
As long as Ryu Won was here, Saeri would be fine.
His answer reassured her, and she turned toward the library. There were still so many questions about Saeri in the memories she wanted to find, and she needed to find at least one more while she was still present.
Arriving in front of the library, Yeon-young pushed the sign to the right and pressed the power button. Hiding her nervousness, she placed her bracelet on top of it. The button scanned her bracelet and welcomed her with a green glow.
“I hope I don’t get caught on the track this time…”
Yeon-young thought back to the first time she and Ryu Won had come to the library. She swallowed a nervous breath and pushed the door slowly forward.
There was nothing but darkness in sight. She stepped inside, relying on the light from her bracelet to guide her.
The darkness of the library engulfed her completely.
