The Prince Seduces Me with His Body Chapter 140
After being defeated by Kayden in the mock battle, Rebecca had undergone grueling training as if carving out her own bones. Naturally, her skills had improved drastically compared to before.
The duke, lying on the ground, clenched his fist so tightly that his veins bulged. Rebecca quickly erased her expression and raised her sword high. There was no point in capturing him, as he would be executed immediately, and there was no telling what other tricks he might have up his sleeve, so she decided to finish him off right there. But just as she was about to plunge the sword down, a strong wind blew, causing her hair and clothes to flutter wildly.
Rebecca frowned reflexively because of the debris and turned her head. At that moment, a huge shadow loomed over her.
“What on earth…?” Her eyes were locked on the demonic dragon flying in the sky.
At the same moment, the duke, who had been writhing like a worm at her feet, gritted his teeth and stretched out his arm. It happened in an instant. A sharp dagger was in his hand, and his target was Rebecca’s heart.

Drip- The sound of water dripping echoed loudly. Diana furrowed her brow slightly and opened her eyes.
“…?”
The first thing she saw was Kayden’s face, with tears streaming down his cheeks. Startled, she cupped his face with one hand. “Kayden? Are you crying?”
“Diana…?”
“Huh?”
As Kayden mumbled in shock, Diana let out a bewildered gasp as well. It was no wonder because of her body… Feels so light.
Diana’s last memory was of staring blankly at the demonic dragon’s wings descending on her. Considering the impact of those heavy wings, there was no way she should have been fine. Yet strangely, her body felt light. Even when she moved her hand away from Kayden’s cheek to examine it, there wasn’t a single scratch.
Kayden, who had been holding the unconscious Diana in despair just moments ago, was equally bewildered. He was so stunned that his tears abruptly stopped.
“What on earth is this…?”
Both of them looked around in confusion. Then, an even greater shock hit them.
The world around them had come to a standstill as if it were a painting done entirely in black and white. The demonic dragon with its gaping mouth, the flames erupting from it, and the people raising their arms to shield themselves—everything had frozen in time. The only things still moving, still full of color, were Kayden and Diana.
Diana carefully stood with Kayden’s support, but even as they moved, the world remained frozen.
<It’s been a long time since someone capable of being a ‘vessel’ has appeared, and to think they hold opposing attributes. How extraordinary.>
Suddenly, a voice like thunder echoed in their ears as they were looking around in confusion.
An overwhelming presence enveloped Kayden and Diana. Both gasped in shock, instinctively swallowing hard as their legs gave out beneath them. They collapsed, their legs too weak to stand.
Slowly, cautiously, they lifted their heads. And then, simultaneously, different words escaped from their lips.
“Light?”
“Darkness…?”
They exchanged astonished glances before looking up again at the glowing orb floating in the air, radiating a soft aura. To Kayden, it appeared as a ball of light, while to Diana, it appeared as a ball of darkness. Fortunately, the voice that followed eased their confusion.
< It’s only natural that it looks different to you both. For I am both light and darkness.>
“What do you mean by that…?” Kayden muttered in confusion.
Just then, lights flickered around them, and spirits began to appear.
“Yuro?”
Diana called out to Yuro in bewilderment. It was the first time the spirits had appeared without being summoned.
But Yuro did not respond and simply bowed low. Muf followed suit, and even Hillasa, whose body was more of a sphere, flopped down on the ground.
“Elfand.”
Kayden tried to stop Elfand, unsure whether the orb was friend or foe. But starting with Elfand, all the lower, intermediate, and higher spirits of light bowed down before the orb as if in reverence.
“No way…”
A sudden thought flashed through Kayden’s mind, and he trailed off. If his suspicion was correct…
“…Spirit King?”
The words Diana whispered softly confirmed his suspicions.
As if to validate their guess, the orb spoke once more.
<I am Amrien, Spirit King of both light and darkness.>
“But why do you look like that…?” Kayden frowned unconsciously.
According to the records left in the imperial palace, the spirit king and the spirits under them were supposed to have appearances of beings with eyes, noses, and mouths. In fact, while Hillasa didn’t resemble a monster, it still had button-like eyes, a nose buried in fur, and a mouth and limbs that stretched across half of its body.
But this being before them was nothing more than a mass of light—or darkness. And yet, it claimed to be the Spirit King.
As Kayden and Diana pondered how much of this to believe, the voice from the orb continued in a calm tone.
<To explain that, you must first understand something. It seems you do not know the full truth about us.>
Amrien’s words dropped like a bombshell.
<Originally, there were only five elemental spirits.>
It felt as though someone had struck them both over the head. Diana and Kayden gaped in shock. Especially Diana, who was reeling from the revelation. She clutched her chest tightly. Her heart ached.
Does that mean… I was destined for this from the beginning? Was she truly born with this cursed power?
How much had she struggled to prove the existence of a dark elemental spirit? Had all of that been meaningless from the start?
Her eyes began to sting with tears. Diana bit her lip, trying to hold them back. It wasn’t time to cry yet. Amrien’s story was far from over.
<But during the age of the great monster flood, there was a monster who raised an abandoned human baby.>
“A monster… raised a baby instead of killing it?”
<Yes.>
Kayden closed his mouth with a shocked expression.
Amrien’s once calm tone took on a darker edge.
<That monster was the first dark-attributed spirit. And the child it raised was the first dark-attribute elementalist, Lombard Dihanis.>
* * *
It was the age of the great monster flood. The first five elementalists were searching through the forest to find humans who had been captured by the monster horde.
Rustle—
“Oh my.”
Daisy Bluebell, who was clearing the bushes with her sword, widened her eyes in surprise. Hearing the sound, Maxi Yelling approached Daisy. Her red hair, tied high into a ponytail, swayed as she moved.
“What is it, Daisy?”
“Look here, Maxi. There are human footprints. Do you think they belong to someone who was captured by the monsters?”
At Daisy’s words, the other elementalists scattered nearby gathered around. They nodded as they saw the clear footprints of a human in the dirt where Daisy pointed.
“They’re definitely human. But there’s only one set of footprints. I thought there were at least dozens captured.”
“Maybe someone used the others as bait and escaped alone. Wow, what a scumbag.”
“…Can you try using your brain before you speak, Wicksvil?”
“You’re the one who overthinks everything, Wibur.”
“Did you just say all you wanted?”
“No, I’ve got more to say, but I’ll spare my breath.”
“You little…!”
“Both of you, stop.”
The two were about to pounce on each other, as usual, when a white flame flickered between them. Clicking their tongues, the two backed off.
The one who had stopped them was a young man with an exceptionally graceful appearance. His white silver hair and pale blue eyes gave him an almost holy presence. The young man, Niota Findlay, sighed and turned his head. Smiling with narrowed eyes, he looked at Daisy. “What should we do, Daisy?”
