“Please, get back!”

At Choi Tae-hyuk’s shout, I quickly stepped away. Yeon Do-jin and Emelyn Kiyo arrived a moment later and immediately teamed up with Choi Tae-hyuk to engage Talos.

“Guild Master!!”

An Bom—who must have come with Choi Tae-hyuk—ran over and grabbed my hand.

“Are you okay?!”

She was panting heavily from the run, but warm healing energy was already flowing into me through her grip.

“Yes, I’m fine. How did you get here?”

“The Vice Guild Master said you were caught in a monster wave!”

“Choi Tae-hyuk did?”

An Bom nodded.

That’s odd. I only texted him that I was sparring with Yeon Do-jin.

“Can they even bring that thing down?”

“Yes, don’t worry. It’ll be over soon.”

An emerald sword suddenly shot forward and stuck to Talos like a magnet. Now holding the sword, Talos launched a brutal assault on the three hunters.

As if everything up to now had just been a warm-up.

Swinging a blade that shifted length and unleashing nonstop magic attacks, Talos forced the hunters to scramble desperately just to dodge.

☆ Milline has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆

As expected of a hero of the High Gods. No matter how strong humans are, they can’t compete.

☆ How Are You Supposed to Beat That has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆

Only Aether could handle something like that, right?

“By the way, what about Kwon Beom-gaun?”

“Her awakening sickness is over.”

Oh-ho. If her awakening sickness is over, that means I can receive all the healing I want.

I grinned.

Honestly, just standing here and watching wasn’t really my style. Sure, I was a god who enjoyed having fun—but I was also a god who enjoyed making a mess.

And since the armor-freezing was taking longer than I expected, I had something to say to Corne, who’d been screwing me over nonstop.

I draped the blanket back over An Bom, whose fingertips were red from the freezing wind and snow, and said,

“Then I’ll be right back!”

“Guild Master!”

With a sweep of wind, I shot forward and appeared right in front of Talos. The fact that Talos—who had been perfectly focused on fighting Yeon Do-jin and Emelyn Kiyo—immediately lunged at me without firing a single spell meant only one thing:

He was still following Corne’s command.

“Yeon-woo!”

“Guild Master!”

Ignoring their alarmed voices, I flew straight into Talos’s giant face. I formed a tightly compressed blade of wind in my palm—and stabbed it into the brilliant golden eye reflecting my figure.

“Ghhha!”

Even with his strengthened body, he couldn’t withstand a god’s power. Blue blood poured from the ruined eye as I leaned in and whispered:

“Corne, you bastard. Think of this as my greeting.”

☆ So Cool. has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆

Holy fuck that was cool. Insanely cool. Aether is the GOAT.

☆ As a Greeting has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆

Those words will live in my heart forever… ♥

☆ How Could I Not has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆

How could anyone NOT love a god like that ㅠㅠ I love you, Aether.

I dodged Talos’s grasp and landed beside Choi Tae-hyuk.

“Guild Master, please—!”

“Didn’t you bring An Bom so I could fight?”

Choi Tae-hyuk pressed a hand to his forehead like he was getting a migraine.

“Wow. Yeon-woo, that was incredible.”

Emelyn Kiyo appeared beside me without my noticing and applauded.

“What can I say? I’m pretty good.”

I shrugged smugly.

Unlike Emelyn Kiyo, who was busy admiring me, Yeon Do-jin kept his eyes fixed on Talos.

“It’s freezing slower than expected.”

“Yeah.”

The armor was freezing—just too slowly.

“At this rate, even if he notices, there’s nothing we can do. It’ll take until tomorrow.”

I pushed more power into the wind. The breeze turned into a blizzard. Even if Talos realized what I was doing, it was already too late.

I gathered all the wind sweeping through the forest into a single vortex—a storm of ice and snow swallowing Talos whole.

“I’ll heal you.”

“Not yet.”

“Guild Master…”

At Choi Tae-hyuk’s worried voice, I sighed and extended my hand to An Bom. As she healed me, Talos thrashed inside the swirling storm, freezing little by little.

Even with strength, intelligence, mana—he couldn’t withstand wind imbued with divine power. Just as his movements started to weaken, a familiar voice echoed in my head.

【Nice greeting. But did you really think I wouldn’t notice?】

At Corne’s voice, Talos’s entire body flared bright red.

☆ It’s Corne!! has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆

Corne just buffed the hero!!

☆ Yeah has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆

I mean… it did feel a little anticlimactic. Sorry Aether, show us more!

☆ Weak Point has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆

It’s gone! What’s Aether gonna do now?!

The ice encasing Talos melted instantly.

“Damn it.”

His overheated body melted everything in seconds. He wasn’t just restored—he was worse. Now he was burning.

“So, what’s the plan now?”

I bit my lip at Yeon Do-jin’s question.

Talos’s weakness was ice. If ice didn’t work, then—as the gods said—he might as well not have a weakness at all. Fully restored, Talos grabbed his sword again.

“For now, we dodge.”

Yeon Do-jin opened another rift. Just before Talos’s now-extended blade could reach us, we slipped behind him—but he recovered instantly, refusing to fall for the same trick twice.

“Let’s split up. I’ll take Yeon-woo.”

“No. I will look after Guild Master Ji Yeon-woo.”

“…! But Guild Master—”

“No, Choi Tae-hyuk. You should stay with the healer.”

With a low chuckle, Yeon Do-jin wrapped an arm around my waist before Choi Tae-hyuk could argue, opened a rift, and pulled me through.

A moment later, Choi Tae-hyuk escaped to the right with An Bom, while Emelyn Kiyo veered off to the left. Talos froze for a moment at the sudden scattering before turning—and locking eyes directly with me.

“He’s definitely coming this way, right?”

“Hm. It seems Guild Master Ji Yeon-woo is the target.”

“Oh, da—!”

Just as Yeon Do-jin said, Talos didn’t even spare the others a glance. He charged straight at me.

☆ Corne has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆
Guess Corne ordered him to attack Aether only.

☆ Honestly, Same has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆
Killing humans isn’t fun or meaningful anyway.

☆ Hero Fight has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆

A battle between a god-turned-human and a hero—my heart’s pounding.

Even when we teleported again, nothing changed. The moment I appeared, Talos locked onto me as if killing me was the only command burned into his mind.

“This is never going to end.”

“You might miss your flight today.”

“Oh well.”

Yeon Do-jin clicked his tongue while opening another rift, watching Talos barrel toward us yet again.

“You could just teleport overseas, right?”

“You need approval for international travel.”

So basically—too much hassle. This time, Yeon Do-jin moved us to a far corner of the forest and finally let me go.

“What’s your plan?”

“Hm.”

Truthfully, I didn’t have one. The proper method was to pull the stopper in his heel and kill him instantly… but we couldn’t even immobilize him long enough to try.

“Bring everyone back first.”

Yeon Do-jin obediently opened a portal.

Choi Tae-hyuk, An Bom, and Emelyn Kiyo regrouped.

“Yeon-woo, you okay? That bastard Yeon Do-jin didn’t mess with you, right?”

“Guild Master, are you unharmed?”

“Yes, I’m fine.”

What kind of reputation does Yeon Do-jin have for them to react like this?

While Choi Tae-hyuk and Emelyn Kiyo checked me from all angles, I glanced at Yeon Do-jin—who only smiled quietly.

‘Yeah, he’s crazy.’

Ignoring him, I turned to look at Talos. Unable to find us in the dense forest, he was scanning the surroundings in confusion.

“Right now, pulling the stopper is impossible.”

“The stopper?” Choi Tae-hyuk echoed, not following.

“Simply put—Talos has a plug in his heel. Pull it out, and he dies.”

“I see.”

“So what’s your plan?”

I grinned. “An eye for an eye. A tooth for a tooth.”

☆ Huh? has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆

What does that mean?

☆ For a Hero has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆

Sounds like something about heroes… but Aether doesn’t have a hero here… right?

Everyone stared at me, baffled. I turned to Choi Tae-hyuk.

“Where’s Bia?”

“I left her at home.”

I nodded and looked at Yeon Do-jin. He chuckled and opened a portal. Through it, I could see the familiar home—Bia and Saphi both inside.

“Bia, come here.”

Mini-sized Bia hopped through the portal into my arms, while Saphi flew over and perched on Choi Tae-hyuk’s shoulder.

☆ It’s Bia!! has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆

Biaaaa! It’s been so long! You’re always with Choi Tae-hyuk, so we never get to see you!

☆ She’s Smaller Now has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆

She must be tired from working—so tiny and precious. Aww.

Corne’s hero—now without any weaknesses. If an S-rank or even SS-rank couldn’t beat him, Corne must’ve assumed I’d push myself to take the hero down personally.

Why would I? I have Bia.

I might be stuck in a human body that hurts whenever I use divine power—but Bia isn’t. Bia is quite literally an Apostle. She is my divine power itself, unaffected by any of the limitations I have.

I hugged Bia and pressed a kiss to her fluffy forehead, then infused her with just enough power to avoid coughing up blood.

“Bia. Mind causing a little chaos?”

“Meow.”

Light burst from Bia as she leapt from my arms. The glow expanded, growing beyond even Talos’s towering frame. Within that radiance, Bia’s full-sized adult form emerged.

☆ Eye for Eye has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆

Ah—that’s what he meant.

☆ That Won’t Do has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆

There’s no way a hero can beat an Apostle.

☆ Aww Come On has donated 100 Mana Stones.☆

I wanted to watch Aether fight… show me the moment I’ve been waiting for!!

“Rrrraaaaugh!”

At the roar that shook the forest, Talos’s head snapped toward Bia.
