Nine years after “that incident.” Seunghyeok and Yihyeon happen to reunite by chance.
Gu Seunghyeok, who has become the president of Nexus Club, an establishment of the mob organization Taeseong Group, and Kwon Yihyeon, a part-time worker at the club.
Despite all that time having passed, unlike Yihyeon and his indifferent attitude, Seunghyeok faces Yihyeon with eyes filled with a mixture of loathing and rage.
“Hey, were we running a hole-selling business here too?”
“Kwon Yihyeon. Do you remember what I said I’d do to you if we ever met again?”
Seunghyeok mocks and ignores Yihyeon, revealing a raw hatred. Eventually, in the process of a cleanup at Nexus, Yihyeon gets fired….
“Gu Seunghyeok. You’re the same now as you were back then. You’re still a piece of trash.”
“You sure have a vicious way of talking.”

However, upon receiving news of his father’s battle with cancer, Yihyeon ends up in debt to Seunghyeok, and Gu Seunghyeok proposes that Yihyeon work with him instead of paying back the money.
The two, now in a relationship of debtor and creditor, become increasingly conscious of each other as they get entangled in various incidents….

Kwon Yihyeon (Soo, 27 years old): The eldest son of a family of devout ministers. After his sexual identity was discovered through a certain incident, he was kicked out and has lived a stoic, lonely life ever since. While spending dry, weary days struggling to make ends meet, he unexpectedly reunites with Seunghyeok. From that day on, his long-buried past and his burdensome present begin to shake him to the core.
Gu Seunghyeok (Gong, 26 years old): The second son of Taeseong Group, a conglomerate with roots in the mob. He is in charge of the dirty and illegal business that happens beneath the surface. He is a virulent homophobe, and because of an incident in the past, his insides boil every time he sees Yihyeon—though he cannot tell if it is hatred or affection.
