03. The Dog and Wolf’s Time (1)

After escaping from Ian, Si-wol immediately gave a name to the shocking incident that had just occurred.

“To call it a masturbation service would have been dangerous for my sanity…”

In order to protect his fragile mental state, it had been an unavoidable choice.

“Yeah. I’ve decided! Let’s call it the Crazy Show from now on.”

Clutching his fists tightly and trying to steady his wavering sanity, Si-wol had to endure the subsequent agony that followed after showing Ian the masturbation show.

For example, things like this:

Heuk, bad guy. Saying things as if you’re just going to watch and then doing as you please. Heuuk…”

Being unexpectedly abandoned after receiving his masturbation service and having to deal with it alone in the bathroom. Or the overwhelming sense of injustice that erupted like a volcano.

Euuh! Please, get out of my head.”

“Are you talking to me?”

Aht, no! Not at all!”

“Then who are you talking to? I often see you mumbling to the air. Is that normal for a half like you? Do you frequently have hallucinations or something?”

“No! I-It’s not like that… I was just talking to myself. Please ignore me and go about your business.”

Occasionally, Si-wol would unintentionally mutter and end up receiving unnecessary criticism while recalling the times when Ian touched his penis.

Haa, why does it keep coming back… Forget it, forget. Si-wol, please!”

Thinking back on the night of the moment, when he pleasantly ejaculated in front of Ian, he felt as if he were going to cry.

“I really hate it, I hate it. I hate it so much… No, wait. If I keep expressing my hatred, reality will only become more dreadful, right? Wouldn’t it be better for me to force myself to think positively for my own sake? Yes, that’s right. Now that I think about it, the sensation itself felt surprisingly good— Ahh!”

He must be going crazy! He must have definitely lost it…!

The unfamiliar sensation of being touched on his penis resurfaced, making him want to die, but then he started to reflect, ‘Wasn’t it not as bad as I thought?’

Whenever faced with such absurd situations, Si-wol would struggle in agony. And this torment would relentlessly repeat even during the broadcasts. Si-wol, who had become even more emaciated from days of sudden and unexpected waves of self-loathing and shame, looked into the camera.

“Everyone, if you were in a situation similar to the character in the game right now, how would you feel?”

Without pausing his gameplay, Si-wol asked the viewers. On the monitor, there was a scene when the main character was caught taking a shower in a strange posture by his crush.

Due to Si-wol’s somewhat abrupt question, the viewers were completely taken aback.

≫ It was a good life…☆

≫ I should check the temperature of the Han River.

ㅎㄷㄷ [1]

≫ Life’s fucking miserable, lol.

≫ I’ll proudly boast about the greatness of my elephant.

≫ Looks like I’ll debut as a corpse on the 9 o’clock news tomorrow…

≫ Oh shit lol!!! Just imagining it is horrifying! LOLOLOL

≫ The elephant earlier might have been a small one, but it’s worth ten thousand won.

≫ I just wanna die~~~

A chat message about easily giving up on life scrolled by. In the moment Si-wol was reading through it, a sharp message passed by.

≫ What’s the intention behind the question? Have you personally experienced it, Vampi-nim? Lol

Si-wol felt a strong urge to respond to that chat message.

‘I did. I’ve experienced it… It wasn’t just a simple shower, but I ended up masturbating in front of someone and even received a masturbation service!’

The overwhelming sense of despair caused Si-wol’s face to turn pale. Everyone’s reactions were so painful that tears seemed ready to fall. They talked about death so easily. It tears apart the hearts of those who have experienced such things and continue to live shamelessly.

Si-wol struggled to maintain his composure and awkwardly smiled.

“Oh, no, I was just asking out of curiosity. I wanted to know what you would do in that situation.”

Just as Si-wol was trying to quickly handle the chaotic chat window and move on to the next scene, a new question came in.

≫ Then, what would you do, Vampi-nim?

Trying to pretend he hadn’t seen it, Si-wol was about to move on when the chat window suddenly became active with a new question. Thanks to that, he found himself facing a situation he couldn’t ignore even if he wanted to.

“Huh? M-Me?… If I were to experience something like that…”

Si-wol unintentionally glanced to his side.

There sat Ian, with his arms crossed, watching Si-wol intently. He seemed completely disinterested in the situation on the monitor and had been staring at Si-wol the entire time. Thanks to that, their eyes met for a brief moment. Si-wol quickly averted his gaze.

‘What would I do?’

From the perspective of the viewers, it might not be a significant question, but for Si-wol, it was a major issue. It was the answer he had been desperately seeking for the past few days.

Although Si-wol had been struggling with embarrassment and shame after the crazy show he had gone through, it wasn’t just agony that followed.

‘Yeah… There were a few good things that came out of it.’

Si-wol recalled Ian, whom he had just made eye contact with.

Until recently, Ian used to stare at him with a terrifying gaze, as if capable of committing murder with just his eyes. Thanks to that, whenever their eyes accidentally met, Si-wol would pretend not to have seen and sweat profusely, avoiding eye contact. He remembered it vividly.

However, that wasn’t the case anymore. To be precise, things had changed significantly since that incident. Should he say that the gaze that used to glare and emit a murderous aura had softened somewhat? It couldn’t be described as gentle, but still, he didn’t feel an overwhelming urge to avoid eye contact when their eyes met.

How should he describe it? It was as if his gaze had become more observant, like when someone discovers something new and looks at it with pure fascination.

‘Come to think of it, lately, it hasn’t been as intense…’

As he thought about it again, it wasn’t just the gaze that had changed. Ian’s behavior towards him had also become strangely softened.

‘Before, if I so much as twitched a finger, he’d lash out, get angry and suspicious.’

If before, he had treated him with disdain and ignored him as if all vampires were pests, now it felt like he realized they were the same entity and showed respect.

Suddenly, memories of the recent unfamiliar kindness from Ian flashed through Si-wol’s mind.
